What would St. Dominic Think about our Modern Albigensians and the Gruesome Horror Flick, The Hunt?

We need St. Dominic's inspiration
in our warfare against today's heretics!
Today is St. Dominic's feast day. I've had a special friendship with St. Dominic from childhood when I chose him to be my confirmation saint in fifth grade. And what a faithful friend he's been to me.

Over the years I've done a lot of speaking (preaching?) on pro-life both in formal talks and sidewalk counseling and conversations. I think St. Dominic is always by my side when I field difficult questions and deal with difficult situations. I thought of him today and about his confrontation with the "liberals" of the Middle Ages. Among them were the Albigensian heretics.

Old heresies never die! Our era is overrun with modern Albigensians and the latest illustration is a gruesome horror flick scheduled for release in September. The theme of The Hunt involves kidnapping "deplorables" and making them the prey of elite big game hunters. Sometimes, Hollywood is honest about their evil!

St. Ignatius of Loyola vs. Martin Luther -- NO CONTEST!

I saw this photo at the Badger Catholic and had to share it. I'm going on my annual 5-day silent retreat using the Spiritual Exercises next week. Our retreat master, Fr. James Buckley is an FSSP priest, so we will have the Tridentine Mass every day. How glorious that will be, especially on the Feast of Our Lady's Assumption. Thanks be to God. I will be praying for all my readers and their families. Please pray for me as well. In the meantime, rejoice at all the saints who fought heresy and error and passed on the authentic Catholic faith with zeal.
