Well, it didn't take long for the first Catholic institutions to begin caving in and rolling over under Obama's HHS contraceptive mandate -- led by the Jesuits, of course. Both
Gonzaga University in Spokane and Xavier University in Cincinnati have announced they will comply with the mandate, but Spokane's president promises they will be very, very clear about Church teaching on contraception. (Now, stop that cynical laughing!)
We've all seen how Jesuit schools stand up boldly to the truth and never, never, never cooperate with intrinsic evils, well except for the V-monologues, and covering up crucifixes, oh, and occasionally a scandalous speaker. But they do all that because of their respect for honest dialogue. (Please...get up off the floor and stop that hysterical laughing. You are embarrassing yourself!)
Ah yes, the Jesuits. To say their name is to say it all. Betrayer, thy name is Jesuit. (My apologies to the two faithful Jesuits I know.) And to think my grandmother's brother, Fr. Edgar Zerlinden, was a Jesuit. He must be rolling over in his grave.
