Faux Conservative Barbara Comstock Announces Run for Wolf Seat

My friend Sandy sent the following information about Barbara Comstock who's entering the race for Congress to win Frank Wolf's seat. Read the data below and realize that Comstock is neither unequivocally pro-life, nor does she support traditional marriage. Her nomination as the Republican candidate would ensure many true conservatives will stay home. What's the benefit of electing Democrat-lite? I certainly could never pull the lever for her. She's wrong on the two biggest issues of our time, abortion and traditional marriage. The time to fight is now. I urge contributions and notes of support to Bob Marshall. We need a real social conservative in the race, not a woman who supported making the pill an over the counter drug, wants to require health exchanges to offer abortion, and supports the lunacy that two men or two women can contract a marriage.

I have good and bad news. The bad new is Barbara Comstock had jumped into the race for retiring Frank Wolf's 10 District seat (House of Reps). She is a nominal Catholic, I am told, and has the support of substantial pro-gay big wigs. She raked in at least $99.000 for her run from those sources (see below).

The GOOD NEWS is that Bob Marshall would like to challenge her. But he needs our help to make phone calls, etc. If he knows he has enough foot soldiers for the fight, he will announce.

I think you know Bob Marshall well enough. He is truly worthy of our support.

Below is background on Comstock.I don't think she will be bragging about her gay support as she campaigns. We will have to do that for her. That's why phoning registered 10th District Republicans is so important. Bob Marshall's campaign will provide the names, phone numbers and script to follow. Bob could surely use financial support, but your time in calling potential voters is also very important.

Barbara Comstock voted for and pushed for Tracy Thorne-Begland to become a judge. This man announced his homosexuality on TV's Nightline, even though he was in the Military at the time of the ban on open homosexuality. He was active with the Human Rights Campaign which is a radical pro-homosexual organization. (Political activists do not have the temperament to be a judge.) The Republican leadership also pushed for Thorne-Begland’s nomination and confirmation and he now serves as District Court Judge in Richmond.

Barbara Comstock voted against allowing Obamacare exchanges to opt out of covering abortion. The Family Foundation noted these anti-family votes (Judgeship and Abortion Insurance Opt Out) on page 8 of their 2012-2013 Scorecard.

Barbara Comstock voted against, and tried to convince Governor McDonnell to veto Bob's bill which became law which said that Virginia would not cooperate in the indefinite detention of American citizens under the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, without due process.

On her Delegate website Barbara Comstock has under the heading of health care, words to the effect that Medicaid needs to be reformed before it can be expanded. Bob would be against expansion whether or not reforms go through. Why I No Longer Consider Myself a Republican

I used to work for the Republican Party. I was a member of the Fairfax County Republican Committee for several years and a precinct chairman. When I moved to Woodstock I joined the Republican Women of Shenandoah Country and was Secretary. I quit when the executive board decided we had to support a woman who supported liberal positions spending initiative because she was a Republican woman. Apparently, what you stand for means nothing as long as you call yourself Republican.

So when I read the American Thinker article, The Need For A Militant Conservative Movement, it struck a chord. Read it and, if you're a conservative, see if it resonates with you as well:

Late last week, the New York State Senate voted to legalize homosexual marriage, giving equality with heterosexual marriage, the foundational unit of every single human society in the last 5,000 years of recorded history.

This is an enormous victory for the gay rights movement and for the American left. Like most of the left's victories in recent years, it could not have happened without the support of the Republican Party (which controls the New York State Senate). Republican fingerprints are all over Roe v. Wade, No Child Left Behind, affirmative action, amnesty for illegals, and the expansion of Medicare. Indeed, gay marriage failed in New York when the Democrats controlled the State Senate in 2009.

It's time for conservatives to face the truth: there is no conservative party in the United States. There is a leftist party, and a slightly-less-leftist party.

Forty percent of Americans self-identify as conservatives. Yet conservatives could not muster enough political support to defend traditional, heterosexual marriage against homosexuals, who comprise less than five percent of the population. But the gays -- whose campaign in New York was fronted by the circus freak Lady Gaga -- have been everywhere, French-kissing on the steps of state capitols from Sacramento to Albany, marching through the streets of San Francisco in bondage leather, throwing condoms and hosts at priests celebrating Mass in New York City, running television ads advocating gay marriage, donating pro bono legal representation to their cause, and enacting vendettas, protests, and boycotts against anyone who disagrees with them.

Gays, a tiny fraction of the population, have been organized and militant. This is true of the left in general....

The combined numbers of gays, blacks, unions, and other groups comprising the left fail to outnumber conservatives.  Yet conservatives have suffered defeat after defeat on almost every major issue for decades.  Conservatives have been disorganized and passive, while leftists have been militant and united in their fifty-year quest to destroy every single traditional, bourgeois norm and value in American life -- while smugly enjoying the security and economic prosperity that was created by those very same bourgeois norms and values. Yup, the Republican Party has betrayed us. Party politics trumps the truth almost every time. Consider Rick Santorum supporting Arlen Specter in PA and Newt Gingrich supporting Dede Scozzafava in NY. Both Specter and Scozzafava were RINOs as liberal as any Democrat, but Santorum passed up a pro-life candidate and Newt just counted Republican seats -- as if those folks can be counted on to vote traditional values. And the Republican leadership concedes to the left every time. So my strategy these days is VOTE CONSERVATIVE. If a Republican is liberal no amount of scare mongering by the leadership will get me to support him (or her).  Did Scott Brown stop Obamacare? No! But he was our savior! In reality, he's one more so-called conservative supporting the radical homosexual agenda. He helped repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell and invited a hard-core "gay" activist to the bill signing. What did pro-family folks gain with Brown? A kick in the teeth.

Support the good guys and let the bad ones fend for themselves. Don't give them a nickle or your vote, no matter how many Republican flunkies wring their hands and tell you the sky is falling.

Republican Party Fund Raising

I got a call yesterday from the Republican Party of Virginia. I should say, I got ANOTHER call from the Republican Party of Virginia because I get numerous calls from the party at both the state and national levels.

I always say, "I don't give to the party, I only support pro-life candidates."

But that doesn't keep the callers from going on and on and on trying to get my no to turn into yes. After several statements that I won't give to the party, I usually switch to the "marketing strategy" comment. "I realize your script tells you to make me say no five or six times before you give up, but I assure you I'm not going to change my mind."

The woman yesterday continued trying to convince me for at least five minutes and I said no at least five times. Even then she asked again saying, "Won't you give $35." At that point I paused for about three seconds and then said, "What do you think my answer is going to be? After all, you've heard it already - how many times?" She finally gave up. It was almost amusing. She kept asking and I kept refusing criticizing the way the party treats pro-lifers, talking about Michael Steele's cavalier dismissal of Republicans who defend the social issues. "I hope you'll pass on my comments," I said with little expectation that will happen.

"Why don't you just hang up?" you may be thinking. Well, actually, I find the marketing strategies interesting, which is why I engage. I'm always amazed at how long the caller (presumably a paid caller) will pursue an obviously futile call. It makes me wonder how she's paid. Obviously not by the number of calls she makes. She could have made three or four in the time she spoke to me. By the successful call? I told her I was a past precinct chairman and some other details and maybe she thought someone that involved could be convinced to change her mind. Whatever the reason, it never ceases to amaze me. I waste their time. I doubt if they care about my opinions. So what's the point from their point of view? They must think the next argument on their script sheet is the winner. Or maybe the're zapping me with a subliminal high frequency message. "You want to give...you want to give...you want to give...."

PALIN MAKES HEADLINES AND SCARES THE GOP SILLY WITH ENDORSEMENT

I recently resigned as the secretary of the local Republican Women's club. The Republican party is so morally bankrupt that people like me are fleeing in droves to become independents. When Newt Gingrich endorsed the "Republican" in New York's 23rd Congressional district , Dede Scozzafava, who is the most liberal among the three candidates running, I wanted to vomit. Who will she vote with most often -- the conservatives? Heck no! She will vote like the liberal she is and join the ranks of Olympia Snowe, Arlen Specter (Was he ever a Republican?), and other liberals in Republican drag undermining conservative principles.

According to Michelle Malkin, Scozzafava is supportd by Big Labor, Big Education, and Big Abortion. The Republican National Committee poured over $300,000 into her campaign as well. The last time the Republican National Committee called for a donation I laughed them off the phone. As long as this is what passes for principles in the party, I'm through with them.

The Republican Party is primarily an elite group of country club WASPS who mostly hold the grassroots pro-life activists in contempt. A party that claims both liberal John McCain and (Hold on, I'm trying to think of a real conservative in the top echelons....Hmmm...can't do it - guess I'll have to drop lower and name the party elite's embarrassments, Ron Paul and Sarah Palin) is a "big tent" on the verge of collapse.

Will they recover? I'm not confident. It's time to stop thinking party and fight for principles, constitutional principles defending life and liberty. It begins with the little ones in the womb. Don't vote for any candidate who won't defend the unborn. In fact, I urge you to take the pledge! Promise not to vote in the next election for any candidate who votes to give one cent to Planned Parenthood, the biggest child-killer in the nation.

And you know, I can't help noting that the first thing that crossed my mind when I read the name Dede Scozzafava was that it's appropriate for a political scuzzball. Give it an Italian intonation and you get Scozzafava the scuzz-a-ball-a.

House Republican Leadership Aligns With ACORN: Support pro-gay marriage, pro-abortion, pro-big government ACORN endorsed candidate

I just resigned as the Secretary of the Republican Women of Shenandoah County. Why? Because the party stands for nothing except party politics. I complained about the club voting money for a Republican candidate on the Board of Supervisors because she votes like a liberal Democrat. She never met a spending item she couldn't support. After being chided at an executive board meeting, I planned not to run again when my term expired. But then came the letter from the County Chairman about another member of the club who was serving as treasurer for a non-Republican candidate running against another big-spending RINO. The chairman insisted that she be thrown out of the club. This was shortly after Michael Steele, Republican Party Chairman, publicly stated that pro-abortion candidates are welcome under the big tent (as in circus tent?). So this is the reality in the Republican side show: there's no problem with a candidate who opposes the principles in the party platform and supports child-killing; he's embraced with open arms. But if you dare to support a non-Republican candidate who supports Republican principles, you're thrown into the outer darkness. It's a head-shaker.

The Democrats espouse the most evil principles imaginable and they pursue them with single-minded zeal. The Republicans pay lip service to moral principles and throw them out whenever it's expedient.

Don't get me wrong, there are many good Republicans and I will be working for and supporting some in the upcoming elections. But unless the good guys can take back the party, it's going the way of the whigs. Jesus said, "Be hot or cold or I'll vomit you out of my mouth." The Republicans are a tepid cup of bad coffee and I'm not drinking it any more.

Log Cabin Republicans: Under the Depraved Circus Tent

CAUTION: NOT FOR CHILDREN!

Some in the Republican party say the "big tent" can hold everyone. But how can a tent stand when some of the folks inside are hacking at the support poles? The Log Cabin Republicans want smaller government except when it comes to using government to advance their X-rated depraved circus. The video below is not for children but children, as you will see, were exposed to the real thing. "Gays" use children like Planned Parenthood does: exploiting them for their own purposes. Just as PP approves of statutory rape and covers it up, the Log Cabin Republicans approve of behavior and legislation that make a mockery of family values. Republicans need to choose. Do they want to attract those who defend the family and children or do they want to open the tent to those who exploit children and destroy their innocence? A tent divided against itself will fall faster than the house built on sand. Americans for Truth asks you to send this video to your members in Congress, especially the Republicans. The party is in danger of going the way of the Whigs, a political party that imploded over the question of slavery. Will the Republicans follow them in self destruction? If they continue their "big tent" strategy the answer is pretty clear.
