N.B. This photo comes from a satire site, not Chik-fil-A. But it's too funny not to share!
...Is that constitutional?
How would you like it if you were a teacher and the school said you couldn't teach because you held the wrong political opinions even if you never voiced them in the classroom?
What if you were fired from a garage where you worked as a mechanic because your boss saw you out running on your own time in a MAGA hat.
Is it fair for a department store or a restaurant to check out its employees' political views as a litmus test for employment?
Remember that old saying, "The devil made me do it." Well, an attorney, Chase Strangio, who heads the ACLU's LGBT and AIDs project has a new twist on the old motto. Blame the Christian Right. They made the Muslim do it! This is so ridiculous it's laughable, but it is consistent with the strategy of homosexual activism, jamming, which turns the target into a figure to be deplored by constantly attacking him as filled with hatred and homophobia. Any time a homosexual is injured, target that most hated of enemies, Christians.
Sorry, Chase, but this just makes you look stupid and ridiculous. Muslim countries execute homosexuals. Shooting up a gay club is completely consistent with their beliefs. Christians, on the other hand, follow Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. They "love their enemies and do good to those that hate" them. They also are tolerant except when the intolerant bent on forcing evil on everybody pass laws that target their beliefs. The only person a liberal will tolerate is someone who agrees with him. So keep up the blather because it just illustrates once more that liberals are intolerant nuts!
What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If it's unacceptable and insensitive to call homosexuals names, does it make sense to approve of calling those who leave the homosexual lifestyle names? Read more here....
I hooted when I watched the exchange in the video below, because it reminds me of many I've had over the years. When I was teaching Natural Family Planning I often had people ask me about it. Then a few minutes into the conversation they would start attacking the Church's teaching. I'd scratch my head and ask, "Uh, who brought up this conversation? I'm not trying to force you to use NFP; I was just answering your questions." Then I'd drop it.
The reality is that a guilty conscience needs no accuser and oftentimes people are convicted by your existence if you are trying to lead an authentic, integrated Christian life. I think the best thing to do in these situations is keep your sense of humor.
When I was pregnant with my fifth, several people (at Church no less) said things like, "I thought you taught that birth control thing." At first I was offended but I knew I couldn't get through the entire pregnancy angry so I started laughing and replying, "Yes, and if you use the fertile time, you get a baby." Another woman at Church asked me, "What does your husband think?" That really made me laugh, and I ansered, "He was there!" An anti-life culture provides lots of opportunities to witness to the truth just by being who you are. A smile on your faith, love of neighbor in your heart, and a silent prayer in your mind cover a lot of awkward situations.
Catholic News Agency reported in October on a massive demonstration outside the cathedral in Neuquen (western Argentina) by feminists demanding the right to kill their children. The ferocity of the women (notice the lesbian sign on one protestor) is similar to the one against the 69 year old woman by proposition 8 opponents. Are you ready to defend Holy Mother Church as these courageous young people did? Pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, especially fear of the Lord and fortitude. And make the five first Saturdays in reparation for blasphemies against the Blessed Mother.
