Dick Morris is right: Purify the Republican Party and Get Rid of the Sellouts!

IT’S NO DEAL, IT’S A SELLOUT  By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann

John Boehner has just given away the Republican victory of 2010 at the bargaining table. Like the proverbial Uncle Sam who always wins the war but loses the peace, he has unilaterally disarmed the Republican Party by showing that he will not shut down the government and will, instead, willingly give way on even the most modest of cuts in order to avoid it. He now has no arrows left in his quiver. Continue reading...

  1. Dear Mary: I'm glad to see you've stepped up here--and Morris, too--I couldn't find his "sellout" list. Perhaps it isn't made yet. I'm hoping you will link it when you can.
I'm so mad about this mess I'm ready to close my ears to politics entirely. It's a "what's the use" juncture.
Neither of you mention the planned-parenthood defunding. I understood that that was also bargained away. If they had at least slapped those murdering barbarians down, some of their other weak sisterism could be forgiven.
Here in Michigan our newly installed Rep. senate, house and guv are indistinguishable from their Dem. predecessors. These guys should be on the knees asking us what to do, not carrying on business as usual.

  2. They did not defund Planned Parenthood in the current continuing resolution. they did ban federal money from paying for abortions in D.C. but that doesn't affect use of local money. I'll definitely link to the list of sellouts when it's up.

  3. Two things, one old one new, make me not trust Morris. (1) See http://washingtonexaminer.com/politics/how-clinton-exploited-oklahoma-city-political-gain# for how Morris masterminded Clinton's strategic deceptions against the Republicans in 1990s. How can we trust someone who was able to manipulate minds like that? (2) One month after Obama was honored at Notre Dame, Morris spoke at a fundraiser for Notre Dame. Whose side is he on?

  4. I'm not a big Morris fan, but even somebody who's wrong most of the time can be right occasionally.

Thanks for the information. Is he an ND grad?

Note: In fact, the Republicans didn't play all their cards! Tom Peters does point out that while Senate democrats and Obama had been preventing any efforts to hold votes to defund Planned Parenthood and repealing Obamacare, they were forced to concede this as part of the deal. So we still have an opportunity to hold their feet to their fire. Read his post and keep up the prayer and fasting: http://www.catholicvote.org/discuss/index.php?p=15998
