Saint? I think not. She put one child ahead of the needs of her other children and her husband. Those kids will never be "OK" without their mother. Ultimately a selfish decision that left her husband and children to clean up the mess. Better that she live with the guilt of choosing treatment for a possibly curable disease than this. No, not a saint at all. Selfish.
Let's see...if this mother lay down her life for her already born child (Say running into the road to push her out of the way of a truck) and died herself, everybody would hail her as a heroine. But because she is willing to die to protect the baby waiting to be born, she is selfish?
The little newborn must be so much trash in your mind. That's the same mentality of the false mother in the Solomon story. This young mom had the heart of the true mother who cared more about her baby than herself.
