The USCCB seems to have lost the faith decades ago, not to mention their minds! I offer the letter below as exhibit A. Why would any right-minded bishop continue to belong to this Good Old Boys Club of Nonsense? In the name of ecumenism we are told that all faiths are paths to God including paganism. And now we have a Jewish woman, Amy-Jill Levine elected as head of the "Catholic" Biblical Association who wants to rewrite the Bible because the pharisees were misunderstood. It reminds me of the song Officer Krupke from West Side Story.
Really! Our bishops want us to believe that after two thousand years of mistakes, our modern hierarchy is finally getting it right. All those old fuddy duddies from the past didn't know what they were about. And really, that Great Commission, when Jesus sent his disciples out to convert the whole world and baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit?, He didn't really mean it. He really commissioned them to go out and embrace all religions in the name of ecumenism. And God forbid that anyone should "proselytize" or work to convert the Jews. Why bother? Everyone goes to heaven anyway.
I can't help but laugh at the ludicrous assertion that the SSPX are out of the Church and every other religion, including paganism, is a pathway to God. Read this letter and weep for poor Holy Mother Church. And pray for the demise of the USCCB.
When was it though? I remember in the early 2000s reading the notes in the NABRE. They daid Matthew didn't write Matthew and Peter didn't write 2nd Peter.
ReplyDeleteI suspect the CBA hasn't been Catholic for years. And I don't trust any of those footnotes in the New American Bible Revised Edition. Maybe the next translation will be written by AI.
