Do you really think this was pleasing to Our Lord and Savior and to Our Lady, the real Mother of heaven and earth? Yes, it was beautiful in many ways which makes it especially dangerous. The devil doesn't fool people with ugliness he "appears as an angel of light." I'm curious how much subliminal "advertising" and how much Masonic imagery was going on in this light show to draw people to the occult.

I just read a commentary at St. Corbinian's Bear blog.  He pointed me to a scripture passage that seems completely on target for what happened at St. Peter's. And his commentary is spot on:
