Abortion will end -- perhaps not in my lifetime -- but it will end. And the reason is people like Melissa Ohden and Gianna Jessen and a young man I heard call in on the Chris Plante radio show and many others. They are the voices of the voiceless unborn. They are the faces of the faceless unborn. They are the abortion survivors. Some actually survived the abortion procedure. Others survived because their moms in difficult situations chose life rather than the siren song of the death peddlers.Search This Blog

Testimony of Survivors: Planned Parenthood's Worst Nightmare!
These women mark the demise of abortion. As more and more survivors speak out, hearts will be changed. How can anyone tell these two women, their mothers had the right to kill them, that the abortionist hit men had the right to kill them. No wonder we have become such a violent society. It isn't the fault of guns or knives, it's poisonous hearts. Pray and work for an end to abortion.

Putting a Face on Abortion: Melissa Ohden
The Democratic convention begins next week and, if reports are accurate, defending abortion will be their centerpiece. Cecile Richards from Planned Parenthood Action Fund will speak along with Nancy Keenan from NARAL and randy law student Sandra Fluke who thinks taxpayers should fund her birth control while she travels around the world fornicating with her rich boyfriend. But it's actually appropriate for Fluke to appear at the convention. She fits right in. After all that rich boyfriend is the socialist son of a big Democrat contributor. And it isn't surprising to see Obama and co. trying to find something to take the country's eyes off his dismal record and refocus on (horrors!) Todd Akin's unfortunate comment. The tactic is likely to backfire, however, since voters may be reminded that Obama voted four times to deny basic medical care to babies who survive abortion. Here's one of them all grown up with a babe of her own. Thank God the nurse that rescued Melissa Ohden didn't share Obama's level of compassion.

Back to School: A Tragic Reality
Millions of children around the country started school this week and some even earlier. But many millions of children did not join their peers. I wish I could say it's because they are schooling at home, but they aren't. These children, about a third of the student body, never saw the light of day because they were murdered before birth. The children attending school are the survivors of abortion. But many of their classmates just didn't make it. Some of those classmates would have been your children's best friends, teammates, scout buddies. What they would have become as adults we can only guess. It's mind boggling to consider what has been lost through their untimely end.
We mourn the loss of life from an auto accident or plane crash, but the loss from abortion is so staggering it's almost beyond comprehension.
Keep that in mind as you watch your young ones go off to school and pledge to pray and sacrifice for an end to this terrible atrocity.

March of the Survivors
All the polls show that young people are more pro-life than adults. This offers great hope for the future as these youngsters become voters and decision makers. Share the pro-life message with a young person today. As one of the speakers says, "The pro-life movement is getting younger and younger." Praise be to God! The energy and zeal of these youngsters fills me with hope.

Another Abortion Survivor: His Gift from God Reminds us of all the Gifts Rejected
Every baby created by God was gifted with special talents. As you listen to Andrea Bocelli thank God for his mom's decision to give him life and pray for all those mothers who aborted God's great gift to them. Adopt a baby today who is in danger of abortion.
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.” - Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

An Unexpected Survivor of the Abortion Holocaust
When pro-lifers talk about survivors, they generally mean those born after Roe v. Wade who managed to navigate the troubled waters in utero and make it to birth. But recently another survivor revealed that a social worker pressured his mother to abort him. Bishop Victor Galeone of St. Augustine, FL said his mother, an Italian immigrant with a third-grade education, was threatened with loss of benefits during the great Depression unless whe aborted her fourth child. When his mother told his father what the social worker had threatened his father replied, "Let them have their cards back! The Lord will provide.” This immediate defense came from a man who had been without steady work for two years. (Read more here... )
Bishop Galeone wrote a beautiful tribute to his "heroine" mother that was published yesterday for Mother's Day. In part he wrote:

On two occasions of my life, I stayed awake all night long. One was a case of food poisoning in Peru. The other was Mother’s Day 1970. I tried to fall asleep, but to no avail. For the first time in my life—on learning how close I had come to not seeing the light of day—I fully realized what a precious gift life is.Bishop Galeone is one of the bishops who opposed Notre Dame's invitation to Barack Obama and also one of the few bishops who did not take up the collection last November for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).

Celebrate Life: Claire survived the abortion; her twin died
There's a reason that young people are more pro-life than any other group polled. Many among them are survivors (literally) of abortion. Read Claire's story here. She is one more reason to defend life. Every abortion kills a child. Don't let the abortion lobby convince you of their lies. Abortion doesn't remove a "mass of cells...a blob of protoplasm...or a blood clot." Every abortion kills a person. Some are tinier than others, but all each one needs is time, nourishment, and oxygen to be the newborn, the toddler, the adolescent, the teenager, and the adult God called them to be.He knits us in our mothers' wombs and we are beautifully, wonderfully made.
