John Boehner makes me sick!

Well, I'm sorry to say that John Boehner won reelection as speaker. And, as usual, the teary-eyed girly man was overcome with emotion. But what really made me look around for a barf bag was his statement that, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad."

Excuse me, reelecting a RINO who supports the biggest abortion promoter in history is a sign of the Lord's favor? I think it smacks more of Pilate's praetorium than the Lord's temple!

How many Republicans were threatened with losing their plum committee assignments? (We know at least two who are being dumped from the powerful Rules Committee for daring to oppose Boehner: Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent.) Let's face it - we know how the game is played: strong-arming your colleagues for votes, pork for the folks back home hidden in huge bills nobody reads, making promises for change that nobody intends to keep. That's inside-the-beltway politics, friends. Who cares about the grass roots? Surely not the establishment!

I'd like to think that a Republican majority will make a difference, but I've seen how the game works and I don't have much hope. But then I never put my hope in men anyway, especially feckless politicians who think souls are things you trade for earthly power and fame.

The Barry and Harry Show Invades the Church

I'm not sure who first called the game-playing dems the "Harry and Barry Shutdown Show" but he got it right. And the motto is "Sock it to 'em, baby!" with "them" being the American people. But now the Game has moved into the Church with all "contract" priests who come in to do liturgical services in military chapels being forcibly furloughed and told they may not even volunteer to say Mass. If they show up, they've been warned they'll be arrested. No Mass, no Baptisms, no Confessions, no Marriages by these priests! In some places it's no big deal because there are other parishes nearby where servicemen and women can worship. But what about inaccessible places out in the desert or foreign countries that aren't Christian. This is an incredible violation of the first amendment rights to freedom of worship. And it's all a very deliberate political game to make people suffer. As the anonymous park policeman told The Washington Times, “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.” Amen to that! And it ain't conservatives doing it.

This is nothing new. The Harry and Barry Show ran to rave (Democrat) reviews during the sequester when agencies were told they couldn't minimize the sequester's impact but were to make sure the results were as "dire" as Obama predicted. They weren't.

The game was bad enough when it involved monuments and open air parks that operate 24/7 with hardly any park service presence, but now it's religious persecution. Obama the tyrant speaks and the minions and peons must grovel at his feet. For the first time in my adult life I'm ashamed of my country. Well, not my country really-- but the elitist moral eunuchs who wield power, not for the common good, but for their venal powerful ambition. Namely Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and company. This shutdown has unmasked how evil the Democratic party is. They're funding their buddies at PBS who shill for them but refusing to fund NIH cancer treatment for children. Watch Harry Reid's disgraceful antics and his hypocritical response to the reporter's question, not to mention his personal insult of her "intelligence."

Terry McAuliffe for Governor?

I confess, the thought of Terry McAuliffe as Virginia's Governor makes me want to vomit. Here are some quotes from the man who takes the typical Democratic approach to fund raising: Got Big Money? Name your Prize. His selling luncheons with the president and rides on Air Force One remind me of Clinton selling the Lincoln bedroom for a price. Keep in mind that Federal employees may not accept "gifts" from contractors, etc. How come the highest federal employee in the land can accept money by selling access? It stinks. But here's McAuliffe demonstrating in his own words how ethically challenged he is:

"Did I ever ring anyone and say that for $50,000 you can have lunch with the President? Or, for whatever, you can fly on Air Force One? Yes, I did - thousands of times! And so what?” 

Obama said he would "punish our enemies and reward our friends " and he meant it!

If you're a patriotic American, you are on the enemies' list. Get used to it! Do you really believe nobody at the highest levels of government knew?

Does MSNBC Live in the Real World?

Even the clueless president acknowledges that the IRS did "[some]thing wrong." I think the reporters at MSNBC are aliens from another planet! Of course, in the liberals' world any persecution of conservatives is "nothing wrong." That was Alinsky's policy (the end justifies the means and "the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen'”). The liberal media are Alinskyites on speed! Do you think the IRS "did nothing wrong?"

Democrats: Make it rich in politics and attack rich conservatives! What hypocrites!

Democrats are such hypocrites. They are always attacking the rich, but they are among the richest. Check out Al Gore. His dad wasn't a railroad, oil, or manufacturing tycoon. He was a Tennessee politician for over 35 years as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and then Senator. The younger Al Gore followed in Daddy's footsteps and has magnified the family fortune to over $300 million. He's richer than Romney according to Forbes. Gore was a politicians from 1977 to 2001 and has used promotion of "green energy" to build his fortune exponentially. Isn't it interesting that the government of which he was a part was so quick to invest in the greenies. Taxpayers ended up holding the bag for the $500 million dollar loan to Solyndra. It's so easy to spend other people's money! As for Gore, he raked money in hand over fist peddling green energy and global warming hysteria hyped by both government and media.

Nancy Pelosi' daddy was the son of Italian immigrants who got into politics early on after working as an insurance broker. Nancy didn't run until after her children were grown. Poor thing. She's only worth $35 million, but has had a big boost in recent years. Must be her charming personality.

Bill and Hillary Clinton are particularly interesting since they came from relatively humble backgrounds although Hillary's dad did well in the textile industry. The Clinton's made most of their substantial fortune ($38 million)  after Bill's term as president peddling books and doing speaking engagement, although Hillary made a small fortune from shady transactions in cattle futures when Bill was Attorney General of Arkansas.

Now I don't begrudge rich folk their money whatever their party. But Democrats invariably attack conservatives for having money while they make the average taxpayer a whole lot poorer so they can give other people's money away buying votes and influence. The cost of the Obamacare "train wreck" on the middle class is just starting to be exposed. But these big spending hypocrites peddle themselves as altruistic even when their personal history of charitable giving is almost nil.

Think of the Founders of this country, many of whom died broke because they really did pledge their "fortunes" to the cause of freedom. How likely are we to find that among today's politicians?

Note that the council members vote to deny the right to free speech to this woman while the mayor tries to prevent her arrest. The police ignore the mayor and arrest the woman even though she's in order and has the floor. The police sergeant ignores the mayor. Except for a short burst of applause from the audience when the woman continues speaking, they are mostly passive as she is arrested. Consider the impact if they had risen as a body and blocked the door to prevent her being removed.

In Wisconsin Republicans Get Death Threats

Did you hear about the death threats against Wisconsin senators? I sure didn't. You can bet you would have heard about it if the tea party movement made them against Democrats. The bullies our out in force in union T-shirts, but it's the kid gloves from the mainstream media.



Organized labor vs. the tea party by Henry Lamb:

A battle between organized labor and the tea parties is decidedly a one-sided battle. Organized labor receives regular income from every member, often deducted by the employer and paid directly to the labor union. National Education Association attorney, Bob Chanin says:

"The NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power. And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year. …"  [NB: Individuals often have no choice but are forced to join the union and pay dues to promote political parties and positions (like abortion) that they oppose.]

Tea parties, on the other hand, survive on the voluntary contributions of people who give to support their beliefs.

Labor unions can lease buses and print signs and pay members of other unions to stack their demonstrations. Tea-party members must take time off from work and make their own signs if they participate in demonstrations.

Labor union protesters, to some significant degree, are essentially mercenaries; Tea-party protesters are patriots. This gives tea parties a decided advantage. People who are motivated by principle, a sense of fairness, honor and respect for the God-given freedom guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution will win – in the long term.  Read more here....

The unions have sworn to keep up the fight. Of course they have! They are facing a real loss of power. If individuals have a right NOT to pay union dues, except for what goes to collective bargaining, the unions will lose millions that now go to buy politicians. We're always hearing about those evil CEOs. What about the evil union bosses?

Here's the bill, H.R. 3962, all 1,990 pages of it. The question is -- how many bribes were built into it to buy votes? Let's play, "Find the Earmarks!"

Here's an interesting untraceable goody for selected Democratic supporters and voters will never be the wiser:

One such earmark suddenly appeared in H.R. 3962 in Section 1745, “Nursing Home Supplemental Payment Program.” This provision did not exist when the Committee on Energy and Commerce had completed its work. Section 1745 creates a new $6 billion slush fund with the Medicaid program to dispense to nursing homes.

This new fund has several unique characteristics that set it apart from the normal operations of Medicaid. First, payments to Medicaid nursing homes are made through states and require a state to match the federal funds. Under this section, there is no state money and the decision as to what facilities will receive the money will be made by Secretary Sebelius (and therefore no state involvement in decision making). Although the legislation provides $1.5 billion for each year in the period 2010-2013, the Secretary could hold the money for 2010 and 2011 and make big lump sum payments in 2012. Second, she does not have to go through any formal rulemaking process to award the funds. Third, her decision is final and is not subject to any type of review. This is important because facilities that receive the money will have a comparative advantage over its competitors. Finally, the Secretary will be required to tell the respective committees of Congress which facilities received the money, but is not obligated to tell anyone else.

Which nursing homes do you think Kathleen will shower with sweets? Perhaps those in districts of Democrats that contribute to their campaigns? Six billion could buy a lot of votes. Did you note her discretion to hold the payments until an election year? Did you notice the secrecy? So much for "openness and transparency" from one of the most corrupt administration/congresses in history. (TO BE CONTINUED...)

Obama nomination of donor as envoy put on hold

Every time we turn around Obama is putting one of his buddies in a job and deep-sixing his critics. And this is the new kind of government we were promised. I can't help laughing, but it's the kind of laughter that ends up in tears. I wonder what Obama's picture in the White House attic looks like? (For those raised in the liberal public school system who spent all their time studying sex ed manuals instead of good literature, I'm referring to The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.)

Obama is so generous with YOUR MONEY!

The Democrats REALLY care about the poor. Hey they always use "helping the poor" rhetoric to justify helping themselves to the money in the taxpayers' wallets. And are they really helping the poor? You be the judge. Here are three recent head-shaking stories.

1) "Obama's Stash -
What did Detroit do with 15 million in "stimulus money?" They established a lottery to give it away. How many jobs is that creating? None. Oops...a clarification: judging from the video below their program stimulated police, fire, and rescue jobs to control the mob competing for the free dough. Go here to see a transcript of conversations with several folks in line who didn't have a clue where the money came from and attributed it to "Obama's stash." Pretty accurate since he considers the taxpayers his personal ATM machine.



2) Want a free cell phone?
There's a government-subsidized program called Safelink Wireless that offers free cell phones and free minutes for the poor. The program originally began in 1984, but it seems like the push to get millions added began this past summer. I haven't been able to find any information on what kind of government funding is involved (Is it coming out of the stimulus?) and when I tried to talk to someone at Safelink all I got were recorded messages and instructions on how to apply for my free phone. What do you think? Should welfare include free cell phones? Or does this give new meaning to the word poverty?

3) Buy a golf cart on the U.S. taxpayer.
This morning Good Morning America's talking heads were having a good chuckle over another stimulus program that gives a minimum $2500 rebate (and as much as about $6,000 depending on the type of battery) to those who buy street-legal electric vehicles -- like golf carts. Yes, you read that right. Your tax dollars are going to subsidize some guy buying a low speed vehicle to tootle around his neighborhood -- like Bald Head Island where cars are banned and everybody rides golf carts or bicycles. When we were there earlier this month (for the day - riding on rented bikes), we picked up a magazine advertising houses for rent. They cost about twice the comparable rentals at the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach. So just think. People who can't afford a vacation at such an expensive resort can now subsidize rich folks who can, helping them buy golf carts for their two-cart garages. The goofs at GMA may think this is a laughing matter; as a taxpayer, I'm appalled.

But we can all say thanks to "Mmm...mmm...mmm...Barack Hussein Obama." This is turning into not only one of the most corrupt administrations in history, but a big joke as well. Remember when Obama said the stimulus would go to improve the infrastructure? Hey, the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge is closed because of problems. Maybe they can just require everyone to drive golf carts or bikes.

Congress Plays Us for a Bunch of Chumps: ACORN Still Funded!

If anyone wants to know exactly how corrupt this Congress is all they have to do is see this dishonest move. Congress defunds ACORN for a month, gets the headlines, and the "defunding" expires October 31st. The ghouls, witches, and vampires, like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Christopher Dodd trick us all and pass the treats to ACORN. Shake your head over this one. Political corruption has never been so shameless. The Sir Galahad who rode into the White House with his glittering banner of hope and change is turning out to be Mordred, the evil knight. The oval office is less a round table and more a cesspool. Throw the bums out on election day!

Remind us again about the "hope" and "change" promised by this administration. All the "hope" is for the president's community organizing friends and the only "change" is for the worse when Chicago-style corrupt machine politics takes over in Washington. Obama puts union strings on federal jobs

"Delivering on President Obama's promise to boost the labor movement, the administration has announced a $35 million federal construction project in New Hampshire that requires union representation for the workers and forces nonunion employees to pay dues and contribute to a union pension fund....Critics say imposing the union-friendly rules on the New Hampshire job - the first federal construction contract with such stipulations since President Clinton was in office - will drive up costs, delay the project and force most of the workers to pay union dues and pension contributions for which they likely will never receive benefits...."

President's ACORN Buddies Get Nearly 1 Million Firefighting Grant!

According to an article in the Washington Times this morning, ACORN's been awarded a Homeland Security grant that normally goes to firefighters. What exactly qualifies ACORN in the firefighting department? Must be they help the president put out political fires.

"[Senator] Vitter, who was routinely notified of the grant before it became public, sent his letter to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Sept. 22, saying the money should be given 'to a more deserving group of first responders.'

"One such group might have been the St. Tammany Parish Fire District No. 3, which applied for a $120,000 grant to purchase smoke alarms for low-income families after a January fire killed four childrenin a home that had no working detectors.

"'We wanted to buy smoke detectors to spread to homes all over the community to prevent that from happening again,' Chief Charles Flynn said in an interview Tuesday." Read more....

Gore-Backed Car Firm Gets Large U.S. Loan

WASHINGTON -- A tiny car company backed by former Vice President Al Gore has just gotten a $529 million U.S. government loan to help build a hybrid sports car in Finland that will sell for about $89,000.

The award this week to California startup Fisker Automotive Inc. follows a $465 million government loan to Tesla Motors Inc., purveyors of a $109,000 British-built electric Roadster. Tesla is a California startup focusing on all-electric vehicles, with a number of celebrity endorsements that is backed by investors that have contributed to Democratic campaigns....

Fisker's top investors include Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, a veteran Silicon Valley venture-capital firm of which Gore is a partner. Employees of KPCB have donated more than $2.2 million to political campaigns, mostly for Democrats, including President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan group that tracks campaign contributions.

This is the "change" voters wanted when they backed Obama? Remember during the campaign when he promised -- moral government, an end to politics as usual, no more corrupt government, concern for the little guy? (Have you stopped laughing yet?)

How much is Al Gore going to make from this sweet deal? Not only does it provide tax money to liberal investors, but it takes jobs from Americans to subsidize luxuries for the rich. Interesting, isn't it, how liberal Democrats excoriate "the rich" while they provide the people's money to fund rich liberals' projects?

Don't get cynical, get even. Vote conservative in the next election. If no conservatives are on the ballot from either party, write in your own name. Stop enabling liberal politics. If Republicans want your vote, insist they return to true conservatism. If you want to know what that is, read Russell Kirk. The Democratic Party is evil and the Republicans are becoming irrelevant. Michael Steele, Republican Party Chairman, recently stated that pro-abortion candidates are welcome. I guess that means pro-lifers aren't. No wonder so many are bolting.

Another Blockbuster ACORN Video - San Bernadino

Here's one more example of a stellar ACORN operative: are you starting to see the trend? It wasn't just an isolated case of a few bad eggs. In Baltimore, Brooklyn, San Bernadino, Washington, D.C. They all approve of: prostitution, tax evasion, fraudulent representation of illegal businesses, child sex abuse, human traficking. Is there anything these folks won't stoop to and condone? This is liberalism which believes there is no truth and man is the author of his own destiny (except for the abused children). Obviously, for this woman her destiny included killing her husband, but setting it up first, which proves premeditation. And she got away with it.

Remember, this is the community organizing network following Saul Alinsky's rules. The end justifies the means even when the means include turning little girls into child prostitutes and urging violence against them to get more money. Note the liberal politicians named in the video including Barbara Boxer, California senator.

Note as well her remark that "if they were liberal they would help you." This type of corruption is endemic to godless liberalism which champions individual autonomy. If you are your own god, you can do whatever you want.

Many Americans are living in a dream world, believing that there are no repercussions from the liberal philosophy. They think it means helping the downtrodden: getting the government to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, etc. Wake up, folks. Government charity is an oxymoron, a contradiction. Idealistic blindness is not a virtue. These liberals have raked in millions in government tax dollars often with liberal politicians enabling them! And Obama wanted them involved in the census? How would you like this woman knocking at the door and casing your property?
