Science Run Amuck!

The Wanderer had a shocking article in From the Mail in the December 3 issue that described Army experiments on GIs from about 1945 until at least 1975. A number of these took place at Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland. One of the programs, MKULTRA, was a top secret program to test various substances using "volunteer" military grunts as guinea pigs who signed vague "consent" forms that never clearly explained the experiments. They were sprayed, fed, and injected with numerous harmful substances including serin gas, LSD, mescaline, anthrax, mind-altering drugs, etc.

According to The Wanderer article, Gordon P. Erspamer is the lead attorney for a lawsuit by a group of veterans harmed by these immoral experiments many of whom still suffer serious medical consequences today. Erspamer wrote an article for TruthOut in October from which From the Mail quotes.

An additional kink in the story is the fact that a number of Nazi scientists secretly brought into the country after W.W. II under Operation Paper Clip were working at Edgewood Arsenal during the time of these immoral experiments. Some of the scientists imported into the U.S. were involved in human experimentation at Nazi concentration camps for which they should have faced war crimes tribunals.

This is the ugly side of science that treats humans as guinea pigs for research. It sure isn't the first time. Tuskegee comes to mind as do the mass eugenic sterilizations that took place all over the U.S. in the early years of the 20th century, often with the approbation of the courts. The same abuse continues today with cloning and embryonic stem cell research that treat little unborn babies as so much "lab material" to be manipulated and disposed of. The only difference is the size of the victims.

Science has the capacity to do great good, but only when the dignity of human life is respected. "First do no harm" is supposed to be the rule of medicine. Unfortunately, in the culture of death, individuals are expendable.

Anybody want to read the monstrosity? Let's play, "Find the Earmarks"

Here's the bill, H.R. 3962, all 1,990 pages of it. The question is -- how many bribes were built into it to buy votes? Let's play, "Find the Earmarks!"

Here's an interesting untraceable goody for selected Democratic supporters and voters will never be the wiser:
One such earmark suddenly appeared in H.R. 3962 in Section 1745, “Nursing Home Supplemental Payment Program.” This provision did not exist when the Committee on Energy and Commerce had completed its work. Section 1745 creates a new $6 billion slush fund with the Medicaid program to dispense to nursing homes.

This new fund has several unique characteristics that set it apart from the normal operations of Medicaid. First, payments to Medicaid nursing homes are made through states and require a state to match the federal funds. Under this section, there is no state money and the decision as to what facilities will receive the money will be made by Secretary Sebelius (and therefore no state involvement in decision making). Although the legislation provides $1.5 billion for each year in the period 2010-2013, the Secretary could hold the money for 2010 and 2011 and make big lump sum payments in 2012. Second, she does not have to go through any formal rulemaking process to award the funds. Third, her decision is final and is not subject to any type of review. This is important because facilities that receive the money will have a comparative advantage over its competitors. Finally, the Secretary will be required to tell the respective committees of Congress which facilities received the money, but is not obligated to tell anyone else.
Which nursing homes do you think Kathleen will shower with sweets? Perhaps those in districts of Democrats that contribute to their campaigns? Six billion could buy a lot of votes. Did you note her discretion to hold the payments until an election year? Did you notice the secrecy? So much for "openness and transparency" from one of the most corrupt administration/congresses in history. (TO BE CONTINUED...)

ALERT: Stopping at McDonald's May Be Child Abuse!

I used to think it was a joke when folks talked about the food police banning Big Macs. But it's not a joke any more. Parents in Scotland have had their children removed because the kids are overweight. That's now considered "abuse." Is it on the horizon here? No, it's already here.

This is the insanity of the culture of death where stabbing a baby in the head and sucking out his brains is a legal exercise of "choice," but buying your kid a big mac is an act of abuse. The families who have these grossly obese children need help, not a criminal record and having their kids snatched! I live in one of the fattest counties in Virginia. Is Social Services going to bring a scale to school and take all the children who are more than 100 pounds overweight? How about 50? How about 30? 25? Somebody wake me up; it must be a nightmare!

By the way, the last time I was in a public school there were vending machines filled with candy bars, chips, oreos, sugary sodas, and other unhealthy treats. Can parents with obese children sue the school system for putting temptation in their children's paths? Government nannies, heal thyselves.

Nanny state snatches kids for being too fat

Lose weight or we'll take all six of your children away: Outrage over social workers' 'draconian' ultimatum to parents

S.C. case looks on child obesity as child abuse. But is it?

Community Organizing at its Ugly Worst! President Obama, Call Off Your Thugs!

The Washington Times has an interesting article this morning, Health reformers targeting 'enemies.' The very first paragraph reads: "The plan for a series of grass-roots demonstrations Tuesday to promote President Obama's health care agenda calls for tightly scripted events and an 'escalation' of efforts against 'enemies' of reform."

Note the tactics straight out of the Alinsky playbook: 1) identify an enemy, 2) freeze him, 3) choose a tactic your mob [okay, Alinsky doesn't call his lackeys a mob] will enjoy. [Union thugs enjoy "escalating" against their opponents, especially if they can do it with steel-tipped boots and brass knuckles.]

The article goes on, "The document, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times, details specific talking points, tactics, props and strategies to stage the protests. It lists goals that include action that 'mobilizes our base by animating existing anger about private insurers.' The HCAN field plan dictates that each protest will include a minimum of 30 participants, target only health care insurers CIGNA, WellPoint and United Health Care and showcase what it calls 'victims,' or people who have either lost insurance, can't afford it or were denied coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions....The field plan says the protests should attract media coverage that 'creates villains or enemies that serve as a contrast with our side; validates the need for affordability and the public health insurance option; [and] forces the other side to respond.'"

The organizers are getting more and more transparent and their tactics are no longer a mystery. Honest liberals need to wake up to the fact that they are nothing but pawns on a chessboard being used by unscrupulous politicians for their own purpose. The immoral men and women of both parties do it, liberals just do it more effectively. One big difference -- the mainstream media goes after Republicans, remember Richard Nixon and his "enemies" list? You won't read about this in the New York Times. They stopped being journalists years ago and are nothing but shills for liberal politicians.

One other thought - When you consider that Obama promised "hope" and "change," this escalation of ugly mafia-style tactics is shocking. America, you voted to put a community-organizer-in-chief in the White House. He's running his administration according to Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and turning the country into a banana republic. Push back with prayer, letters to the editor, support for real conservatives, and join the tea party movement.

Don't let the organizers win by default. As Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for enough good men to do nothing."

One More Administration Crook Thrown Under the Bus

Whew...Van Jones is out. The self-avowed commie who calls Republicans a**h***s, who looted during the Rodney King riots while hailing "the great revolutionary moment," who described looting, burning, and attacks on police as "necessary riots" has been thrown under the bus - one more expendable liability.

The episode magnifies once more the administrations complete disdain for the law as they fill administration posts with tax cheats, felons, America haters, extremists who want sterilizing agents in the drinking water, etc. As each of these radicals is exposed, Obama responds with the mafia treatment - under the bus or off the bridge with feet in a bucket of cement.

He campaigned as a moderate, but every day more evidence surfaces confirming Obama's Alinskyite roots: the end justifies the means - winning is everything no matter what or who has to be jettisoned in its pursuit. If Obama's pals get in the way, they're history. He is Saul Alinsky and Machiavelli rolled into one.

Don't expect Obama to fade and quietly disappear in 2012. (It's unclear that the "stupid party" has any challenger at present) and remember that Alinsky's Rules for Radicals call for creating chaos to make people willing to accept revolutionary change. Obama has the chaos part down pretty well what with doubling the debt in his first eight months, taking over the banks and the auto industry, and who knows what else is on his blackberry. (It's Monday, require students to write a letter about the greatness of big "O.")

Read the Constitution, the bill of rights, and other documents of the Founding Fathers. The greatest obstacle to the creation of the Obama-nation is constitutional government, something most politicians on both sides of the aisle abandoned years ago. For a quick review watch this:

Good-bye to the First Amendment

The first amendment to the Consitution is supposed to protect free speech rights, even the right to display what others find offensive. I personally would not carry a sign with a picture like that although I understand the feelings of those who do. (Where's the compassion for the disenfranchised?) The gentleman could have refused the officer's unjust order and allowed himself to be arrested. It is only by challenging the unconstitutional activities of these people that we can protect our rights. Under Obama they are fast being destroyed. No doubt carrying a picture like that will soon be labeled a hate crime. Funny, you never heard anything about the nastiness of those who displayed pictures of Bush as Hitler. There is a double standard that threatens only one side of the debate.

If you are a conservative (Bush was no conservative; he was hated for being a Republican.), you are presumed guilty of intolerance and hate; if you're a liberal you are compassionate and tolerant no matter how viscious your attacks. Remember Sarah Palin. Heck, remember poor Bristol Palin. Heck, remember the poor folks going to town hall meetings!

Hate is not a family value unless you happen to be in the liberal family tent that houses abortionists, pornographers, sodomites, champions of same-sex marriage, playboys and their bunnies, the Hollywood elite, PETA people who think animals have more rights than people, Rahm Emanuel and his dead fish, and every other nutcase on the planet. When they depict people they don't like as Hitler, they're just telling the truth.

Psst! Want to buy a historic covered bridge -- cheap?

Religious freedom is guaranteed under the first amendment of the Constitution, right? Do you think that matters to those who have a secular liberal agenda? Take a look at the Belmont Abbey College case. The college developed a health plan that removes coverage for abortion, sterilization, and contraception. Eight faculty members filed a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Insurance saying that the school was violating state law and didn't qualify for a religious exemption. Their case was dismissed. Then, with the support of the National Women's Law Center, they went to the local EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) in Charlotte, NC claiming "gender discrimination." The case was dismissed there as well.

Funny thing, though. Two months later the school received another letter reversing the decision. According to college president, Dr. William Theirfelder, "My understanding is it went to Washington, and that it was in Washington where this was decided, not the Charlotte office."

So a Catholic college MUST provide health coverage for immoral procedures condemned by Catholic doctrine.

Watch developments in this story. It throws light on the treatment Catholics can expect for not only Catholic schools, but every Catholic organization in the country that has employees. If you think Obama health care will respect the religious liberty of Catholic health workers and Catholic facilities, I have a nice historical covered bridge outside Woodstock that I'd be glad to sell you. All reasonable offers considered.

White House Calls out the Thugs!

Communities Organize Against Health Care, While Professional Protestors Organize at White House Behest

"'If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard!' Jim Messina, the White House Deputy Chief of staff, told Senate Democrats in a meeting to prepare them to respond to constituent protests according to staffers. In a similar vein, labor union bosses, such as the AFL-CIO and Service Employees International Union (SEIU), sent out memos urging their members to turn out in force and 'drown out' opponents’ voices."

And they aren't just whistling Dixie. Check out these stories.

Cameraman Caught in Middle When Town Hall Erupts Into Violence

The video below from MSNBC show how biased "reporters" manipulate the story. Note the presumption that the "violence" is the fault of those protesting the health care plan. (Last time I broke up a kid's fight there were two involved.) See how the AFL-CIO rep is NOT challenged. The assumption is the "mob" is the conservatives not the union and ACORN thugs who were let into the meeting in Tampa while protesters were shut out. Note also how they blame the groups urging Americans to make their voices heard and accusing them of inciting violence. The fact that the meetings are manipulated and supporters are given early entry and fill the rooms is left completely unaddressed by these "reporters." They ask what responsibility the group has for the actions of the protesters, a question they NEVER asked Obama's campaign team about their responsibility for ACORN's voter fraud. Just one more example of liberal hypocrisy.

If citizens organize, we're compared to the KKK and unAmerican. When the White House calls out ACORN and union thugs, they're just pushing back. We have rarely in the history of this country seen gangster government like this. As the town meetings continue to be contentious watch the liberals 1) cancel them and 2) manipulate who gets in. Oh wait, they're already doing that. What's next, the dead fish in the mailbox?

Gangster Government and Community Organizing! Have they bled us dry yet?

If the health care bill passes it will more likely be due to gangster government than the merits of the case. Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel who is a chief health care advisor to the administration (He believes health care should be rationed and refused to the elderly and handicapped.) has this advice for getting the bill passed.

"Every favor to a constituency should be linked to support for the health-care reform agenda. If the automakers want a bailout, then they and their suppliers have to agree to support and lobby for the administration's health-reform effort."
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel

Blackmail and bribery are the m.o. under the Obama administration. In politics horse-trading is the rule rather than the exception, but this administration has brought it to new levels. Toe the line or else.

Which is why the current uproar over the Town Hall meetings is so funny. To see the liberal community/union organizers going ballistic over conservative organizing is hilarious. How dare the uppity conservatives borrow a page out of their playbook. Shaking rubber sharks at bank board meetings is ACORN's idea. The teaparty organizers have no right to wave all those "Don't tread on me flags" around. And sending teabags to Congress? Cut it out!

Liberal hypocrisy is very entertaining. Where were the buses filled with ACORN employees heading out to demonstrate at the homes of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae executives who made obscene bonuses by cooking the company books? The AIG executives were pikers compared to the government thieves. No demonstrators for them! The masses just need to understand. Government theft=good, private profit=bad!

My dad used to say when 49% of the taxpayers were carrying the other 51% there would be a tax revolution. Seems like we're about there. Productive citizens are being bled dry by government cheats, corporation fat cats, union and community organizers, as well as low-life politicians whose only concern is lining their own pockets. It's time to revolt before the citizen body is a corpse.

Obama's Dancing with the Czars and Giving the Boot to the Auto Franchises

In the dumbed-down culture of the United States, citizens are likely to spend more time thinking about American Idol and Dancing with the Stars than our Constitutional form of government and the threats coming from the Obama administration on all levels. Consider just two items for today: The Obama czar-making machine and the auto industry takeover.

Part 1 - Dancing with the Czars:
As Rep. Michele Bachmann states in the video in the post below, the administration is making an end-run around Congress by naming czars to run just about everything. Consider that cabinet posts are subject to the "advice and consent" of the Senate. Who is consenting to these czars? Obama! He is creating a massive parallel government of elitists who are unelected and unaccountable to the American people. There is absolutely no Congressional oversight of these unelected and, in at least some cases, unqualified people.

Using the word "czar" certainly fits the effort because these positions create an imperial group who answer to no one but the president/king. Some have more authority than cabinet posts. Obama didn't begin the practice and it may not be unconsitutional since presidents can appoint advisers. However, former presidents dating back to FDR, had only one or two. Obama has taken the practice to new heights with over three dozen (so far). Obama's list of czars is mind-numbing. He has an "infotech" czar, a "faith-based" czar, an "energy" czar, a "terrorism" czar, a "TARP" czar, an "urban" czar, a "Guantanamo closure czar, a "health reform czar...and on and on. There is even a "non-proliferation" czar who is obviously not working on the non-proliferation of czars! (My nephew is out of work and available to serve as the "unemployed" czar.)

Each "czar" is making between $100k and $180K a year and has a support staff ballooning the costs. Has anyone examined these appointments in depth? You can pay off a lot of political debts with such a crony system. Here are a few examples of these "czars": "Pay Czar," Kenneth Feinberg, a lawyer with no executive experience, has the power to set the wages of the executives of any company getting bailout money. "Science Czar" John Holden has advocated for compulsory abortion and mandatory population control. Some "czars" like Cass Sunstein, are spouses of other Obama advisors -- keeping it in the family so to speak. There's even a former "czar," "car czar" Steve Rattner who resigned in what looks like a brewing financial scandal. (Will we be surprised?) One things for sure, this violates at least the spirit of Obama's promises to the American people about running an ethical and transparent administration. There is virtually no public scrutiny of these appointments.

Americans not outraged over this are probably working for one of the czars. Keep in mind that none of these folks had to apply for the job under Civil Service Rules. They are all patronage appointments, pure and simple. While a few are in positions confirmed by the Senate, most were not. They are new jobs set up by the administration in one more government expansion. Congress, of course, ostensibly has oversight of the Executive branch of government but with a Democratic administration and a Democratic Congress there is currently NO CONTROL. The Obama/Pelosi team will fund whatever our liberal president wants and the taxpayers be damned.

Part 2 - Stealing businesses:
Michele Bachmann (again in the video below) illustrates how the government is taking over and destroying small businesses in the the auto industry. Chrysler executives say they didn't make the decision about which dealerships to close; a White House task force did. Many in the car industry say there appears to be no rhyme nor reason to the closings. Some franchieses that were doing well were targeted which led to concern that closings were politically motivated. Since most car franchises are small businesses the owners are likely to be Republican. Regardless, once government is involved in decisions about which businesses stay open and which close politics gets into the act. Who benefits when the government decides what businesses can operate? When politicians, like Barney Frank, influence which franchises survive (He saved at least one in his district.) what happens? Will the politician who took big bucks from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (and let his boyfriend run a gay prostitution ring in his Capitol Hill home) expect something for his help? What if he doesn't get it? Does the franchise close next year?

Running businesses is not the responsibility of government and the potential for corruption and cronyism when they do is significant. It is interesting that the first "czar" to resign was the one involved in making these decisions over GM and Chrysler. An in-depth investigation of the hundreds of dealerships closed, the political contributions of their owners, etc. would make fascinating reading I'm sure.

With the 2010 elections coming up, a sensible strategy would be CHANGE! Kick out the liberals who have increased the national depth, taken over a large percentage of the private sector with the prospect of gobbling up even more, and have adopted policies driving us into double-digit unemployment.

Throw out liberalism and adopt conservatism. America has problems, but she has a lot that's worth portecting and defending. Don't let liberalism destroy her!

Gangster Government Destroys Local Businesses!
