ISLAM - the preferred religion of Books-a-Million?

Apparently superior to all else
Ever since I called Books-a-Million's (BAM) corporate offices years ago about pornography books (they said they were "art books") placed next to children's Valentine's Day books, I have been interested in "book placement" in BAM and other book stores. "In many big-box stores, publishers pay for good placement on front tables, end caps and window space in the same way General Mills and Procter & Gamble buy space for their breakfast cereals and detergents in supermarkets", says literary agent Andy Ross.

The Valentine's Day story goes as follows: I was perusing the children's Valentine's Day books on a table placed low enough so that children could pick up the books and look at them, when I looked at the table next to the children's table. All books on the second table, also low enough so that children could pick them up and thumb through looking at pictures, were pornography books of adults having sex. Being horrified at the possibility of a child looking at porn, I called the sales person over, then asked that the store manager join us.

Pointing to the children's table next to the porn table I asked whose idea it was to place the two tables together. Was BAM promoting pornography to children? The answer was that they were adult Valentine's Day "art" books and "book placement comes from corporate" so there was nothing they could do.

The Lying Left Claims to Respect Women; the Superbowl Scandal Proves their Hypocrisy!

Our Lady, the model of purity!
Well, I didn't watch the Superbowl or see the raunchy X-rated half-time show. Life's too short! But I saw some of the disgusting, nearly nude photos (which I won't post) and got this email today from a friend:
Did anyone have this reaction?

I normally never watch the half time show since I find it so morally offensive and suggestive. Since I am in the middle of research on porn, prostitution and human trafficking, I watched to see how bad it would be. I couldn't believe how suggestive it was.

From my research, many johns continually mention that they use porn to rev up (the pre-show) for action (the party). Once they rev up, they act out. An FBI agent who specializes in helping to stop trafficking mentioned on Covenant Eyes, that without pornography, there would be no sex trafficking.

The Queering of America and What it Will Mean to Your Children?

Where the queering of America began
Visiting my doctor this morning, I spoke to a young millennial about the state of the world. She has a little girl and we talked about the impact children make on your outlook. It completely changes because they give you a stake in the future.

She and I (She said I sounded like her parents.) are both concerned about the future. What kind of America will our children and grandchildren grow up in? What impact will the gender idiocy have on their lives? Maybe the pertinent question is what impact is it having already?

For two 16-year-old girls in Illinois, it meant jail. What was their crime? They leafleted their high school parking lot with fliers depicting a photo of a male classmate kissing another boy. The flier apparently also had an unkind homosexual slur which the media didn't identify. The flier didn't threaten anyone with violence; at worst it was an unkind act. Nevertheless, the girls were incarcerated for 18 days in a juvenile detention center wearing shackles for their "hate" crime. They were then sentenced to a year's probation, 40 hours of community service, and had to write letters of apology to the arresting officer (for fleeing the scene) and the boy in the photograph.  And this was ten years ago in 2007! The gay agenda has made giant leaps in muzzling free speech since then.

Guest Post: Love is Not Grey - Why I'm Skipping the Movie

You know you want to be dominated. You
fantasize about men raping you.
I'm just here to oblige. Want to watch
Fifty Shades Darker before we get it on?
Editors note: These films train men in vicious crimes against women. What's next? The glorification of serial killers? It's porn, plain and simple. And porn always requires more: more variety including sadism, more violence, and more extreme behavior. Mainstreaming this pornography will create more Ted Bundys! Go to the link and watch Bundy's interview with James Dobson. It's the porn, Stupid!

Tell us again, girls, how crude and misogynistic Donald Trump is as you slobber over the sick messages of these male domination/rape films? And note that in the rape case described in the article below, the accused got off because he claimed they were just role playing the movie where "no" really means "yes." In the 50 Shades of Grey world, no woman is safe since rapists can always say, "She wanted it."

Haven't we been there in the past? I thought we'd advanced from the all-women-are-sluts-who-really-want-to-be-raped era. Guess I was wrong. On the other hand, is it possible that liberal women like those at the Women's March agree with the message? They were certainly lewd and crude and...well... slutty at the March. How many enjoyed these films saying, "It's just sex."

Pornography: it fuels violence against women! Listen to one famous victim.

Elizabeth Smart survived nine months of horrifying abuse
Now she works to help abuse victims.
I once heard a talk by a police officer who specialized in violent crimes from rape to serial killing. He said he never caught a perpetrator that he didn't find pornography in his possession. Many people think porn is no big deal, but multiple studies show how porn use changes your brain. And how soft porn is the "entry drug" that creates an addiction that makes the user want more and more and increasingly hard-core material. Check out studies here, here, and here.

Brown Bag "Pornographic" Cosmopolitan Says Hearst Heiress

Victoria Hearst says her family's Cosmopolitan magazine 'pornographic,' joins campaign to get it brown bagged

And don't sell it to minors!:
Pick up the latest issue, with teen idol and star of ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” Lucy Hale on the cover, and you’ll see everything from “25 Sex Moves He Secretly Wishes You’d Try” to “The Naughty Orgasm Trick Couples Love.” An earlier edition, with Ashley Greene as cover girl, offers readers “52 Sex Tips” and information about what to do “when your vagina acts weird after sex.”
Hearst says Cosmo targets teens with the graphics, color choices, sland and young models as cover stars. Publishers who go after youngsters deserve the biblical millstone and a very deep lake. I've been complaining to managers, putting that magazine behind others on the rack or turning it backwards for years (when I wasn't sticking it under bags of dogfood). Wrapping it up in brown paper isn't as good as the publishers wrapping it up for good, but it's better than nothing. Complain to a store manager this week about Cosmo and ask for it to be wrapped!

Some Good Articles for Fighting the Sexual Revolution

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. During her apparitions, Mary described herself saying, "I am the Immaculate Conception." Later at Fatima she told the little shepherd children that most sinners go to hell for sins of the flesh and she showed them a vision of people falling into hell "like snowflakes" as Jacinta said. The children said they would have died on the spot without the protection of the Blessed Mother. The answer to the sexual revolution is chastity. Chastity isn't abstinence, it is the right and moral use of our sexual powers. Only when we do that, can we be truly happy. God wrote the owner's manual. If you misuse your car and try to run it on honey because it's so sweet, you destroy your car. The same goes for misusing what God gave you. The road to happiness is loving God and embracing His will.

Part of that will is for us to engage the culture. It is absolutely essential for the Church Militant to fight the culture of lust we live in whether heterosexual or homosexual. We need facts and a vision of the beauty of God's plan to do it well. Here are some facts and arguments about the evils we face. Use them to fight the absolute deluge of feeling-based nonsense that promotes deviant and promiscuous behavior. The prophet Malachi tells us what God expects of us -- to act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with God. Let us work for that ideal as we fight for the faith and the culture.

Your Government at Work

While economy crumbled, top financial watchdogs at SEC surfed for porn on Internet:

"The shocking findings [of a study of the SEC] include Securities and Exchange Commission senior staffers using government computers to browse for booty and an accountant who tried to access the raunchy sites 16,000 times in one month."
"Seventeen of the randy employees were 'at a senior level' earning salaries of up to $222,418."
Your government tax dollars at work. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know government bureaucrats are finding comfort on the job.

Send your kids to college so they can watch porn flicks!

The University of Maryland planned to show a hard-core porn film this weekend as part of its student activities program. The coordinator of the theater, Lisa Cunningham said, "We thought this would be something fun for the students to do, especially since we're getting close to the end of the semester...we thought it would bring out the students." Is this an adult speaking? Hey, pass out mirajuana brownies while you're at it and you'll get every stupid (and randy) kid on campus and a lot of the neighbors as well. The morally upright students will be outside picketing. But hey! The university was being responsible -- they were going to have Planned Parenthood give a talk on safe sex before the show. Maybe they'd even practice putting a condom on a banana.

But something happened on the way to the porno flick -- a handful of politicians threatened to cut off the taxpayers' money to UM. Funny how being threatened with the loss of millions of dollars made the administration listen up and think twice. So the students may have to study this weekend instead. What a terrible alternative. Wonder what the parents who are paying big buck for their kids "education" think.

During the debate on the floor of the Senate the legislators kept having to change the subject because of the youngsters coming in on field trips. Maybe the politicians should take over the administration of UM; they apparently have more sense.

What's Your Worldview: Lust or Love?

One of the hallmarks of our culture today is lust. It's at the root of abortion, sodomy, sexual exploitation, and many other sins. And it's not just out there in the red light district. No, it's in mainstream America. The article below is one sad account of the impact of porn on our culture. For more information about the damage of pornography visit Judith Reisman's website. And pray today for those enslaved by this terrible addiction.

Frank Ramirez: Porn in the workplace

In the midst of an economic crisis, it would seem like nothing short of foolishness to walk away from a job, especially if one has a family to support. But I had no choice.

This is not a story about corporate callousness or abuse; it's a story about our culture's shedding of civility and common decency. I should say up front that I'm a Christian, but a tolerant one. I have become good friends with some former co-workers on the sales floor who don't share my faith or ethics. But I have boundaries. That's why I quit. Everyone at that store – managers and employees both may share my planet, but we live in different worlds. Continued here.
