Compare the media's treatment of serial groper and alleged rapist Bill Clinton with their treatment of Herman Cain. The attack on a conservative black bears all the marks of the Anita Hill roadshow. Maybe he's guilty, maybe he's not, but I sure hate the double standard of the liberal media attack dogs. They didn't go after Bill Clinton the way they are going after Herman Cain. But for a liberal the end justifies the means, so if lying can accomplish your goal of smearing a political rival, go for it. See here.
Do you not really remember the media frenzy over Clinton? I remember that time as being the first episode for what we are seeing now (and for the record, I am no Clinton fan). I don't see any difference - partisan political smearing as usual. In this case, I think his fellow republican hopefuls are dancing behind closed doors.

ReplyDeleteThe woman who accused Cain last night did not report an haarasement she reported a sexual assault, why did she not have Cain arrested? It is because it didn't happen.
ReplyDeleteI remember that the women who accused Clinton were called nuts, sluts and trailer trash. Other people staunchly said that what Bill did in private was none of our business especially if Hillary was alright with it.
ReplyDeleteSo far none of the attacks against Cain rise to the status of credible. It's all he said/she said and the substantive content so far is almost totally negligible. I think it is all politically motivated and typical smear tactics. So far most of the stories are based on implication, "You're about as tall as my wife" ... "pretty" ... alleged touching. It all appears pretty thin gruel. Smacks of the Anita Hill lynching of Clarence Thomas. I've reached the point of simply not believing anything that Liberal Democrats say. They will say anything to achieve their ends. They have nothing resembling morals or standards of behavior which explains the huge disparity between the kinds of corruption they tend to get into.
