Destroying the Meaning of Words: That's What the "Equality Act" (H.R. 5) is Doing!

LGBTQ Community ready to bludgeon
the First Amendment!
What a great word equality is. It conjures up images of the Founders saying, "All men are created equal...endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights...." Who can fail to cheer such an idea?

But what if the Equality Act isn't about equality at all? What if it's about discriminating against certain people in order to give special rights to other people?

Read the Bill which has as its purpose, "To prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and for other purposes." H.R. 5 goes on and on about LGBTQ victimhood and rights. It alters the Civil Rights Act to include gender identity. The bill throws in women with the LGBTQ crowd, I suppose to make it more palatable. But what, in fact, would be the impact of this "equality" bill on everyone, but particularly women?

Well, for one thing, it would legislate the right for a transgender biological male who identifies as a female to compete in women's sports. Transgender athletes are already eliminating equality in women's track and field, cycling, swimming, weight lifting and other sports.

A woman simply cannot compete against biological men pretending to be women. A woman's right to compete on a fair playing field is being completely gutted already. H.R. 5 would sacrifice women on the altar of gender fluidity. Many women including lesbian activists like tennis star Martina Navratilova are speaking up. Navratilova called allowing transgenders to compete in women's sports is "insane." and faces censure for essentially saying, "The Emperor has no clothes."

 While their numbers are low at present, transgender activism in sports and other areas can be expected to grow. Rewarding a behavior ensures you get more of it! Consider the temptation to game the system. A guy who doesn't have the talent to compete against other guys wants a crack at a college scholarship in track and field? Hey, just proclaim yourself transgender (That's all it takes under this bill.) and sweep the state championships. H.R. 5 would make the NESCAC [New England Small College Athletic Conference] transgender student policy a civil rights violation prohibited by federal law.

If H.R. 5 passes, the fight over bathrooms and shower facilities will escalate. High school girls are already complaining about their loss of privacy and endangerment. A lawsuit against Virginia, Minnesota Public Schools included these allegations against a transgender student harassing girls:
  • Student X commented on girls’ bodies while in the girls’ locker room, including asking Girl Plaintiff F about her bra size and asking her to “trade body parts” with him;
  • Student X danced to loud music with sexually explicit lyrics while twerking, grinding and lifting up his skirt to reveal his underwear;
  • Student X would dance in a sexually explicit manner “dancing like he was on a stripper pole” to songs with suggestive lyrics including “Milkshake” by Kelis.
  • The school told girls who felt uncomfortable they should consider using a secondary locker room in the basement of the elementary school.
  • “Plaintiff B and nearly half the junior varsity squad changed in the secondary locker room in hope that their privacy would not be violated,” the lawsuit states.
  • Midway through the season, Plaintiff A was told she could use a vacant boys’ basketball locker room – for privacy. But it wasn’t long before the transgender student showed up in that locker room.
  • “One on such occasion, Student X walked into the boys’ basketball locker room while Girl Plaintiff A was in her underwear and removed his pants while he was near her and other girls who were also changing,” the lawsuit states. “This incident deeply upset Girl Plaintiff A. It signaled to her that there was no place in the school where she could preserve her privacy under the new policy.”
Including gender identity as a designation that calls for "desegregation" will essentially eliminate the rights of any who insist there are only two sexes, male and female, instead of the dozens of sexual identities being promulgated. It treats those with gender dysphoria as a protected class whose identity delusions are federally enforced. It criminalizes and stigmatizes those who defend reality. Think of doctors being forced to medically abuse children with puberty-blocking drugs. There is no religious exemption in the bill so Catholic and other religious institutions will be forced to adopt policies in education and welfare that violate their core beliefs.

How many will go to jail because they won't dance to the gender piper's tune if this evil and insidious bill becomes law?

  1. This will only be prevented as long as no Democrat goes into the White House. God help us when that day comes. These people are maniacal, completely bonkers.

  2. We need to ask ourselves why education includes disrobing and being seen by others in your underwear or less?

    I have NEVER thought this was morally appropriate yet we've done it for decades and encouraged our kids to think they have to do this for the sake of their physical health. Balderdash!

    What about the wellbeing of the soul that is conditioned to feel "normal" in front of others with most of their clothes off?

    In my opinion sports are a hobby and should have no place in a curriculum of education. If you feel like fighting over a ball, a puck, or a finish line, go for it on your own time and give education back to enriching the mind and preparing the person for what will be their role in life.
