Mea Culpa! I Did Not Read the Alabama Bill Carefully Enough.

Guess I'm not moving to Dixie after all.

And here's the section of HB 314, the Human Life Protection Act, that renders it as gutless as all the other bills that failed to protect the baby in utero since Roe v. Wade. It allows abortion for mental illness and like the early bills that required two doctors to confirm the woman is suicidal it will be the same automatic rubber stamp loophole we've seen in the past. Can anyone doubt that two doctors can't be found to confirm a woman is at risk for suicide?:

(6) SERIOUS HEALTH RISK TO THE UNBORN CHILD'S MOTHER. In reasonable medical judgment, the child's mother has a condition that so complicates her medical condition that it necessitates the termination of her pregnancy to avert her death or to avert serious risk of substantial physical impairment of a major bodily function. This term does not include a condition based on a claim that the woman is suffering from an emotional condition or a mental illness which will cause her to engage in conduct that intends to result in her death or the death of her unborn child. However, the condition may exist if a second physician who is licensed in Alabama as a psychiatrist, with a minimum of three years of clinical experience, examines the woman and documents that the woman has a diagnosed serious mental illness and because of it, there is reasonable medical judgment that she will engage in conduct that could result in her death or the death of her unborn child. If the mental health diagnosis and likelihood of conduct is confirmed as provided in this act, and it is determined that a termination of her pregnancy is medically necessary to avoid the conduct, the termination may be performed and shall be only performed by a physician licensed in Alabama in a hospital as defined in the Alabama Administrative Code and to which he or she has admitting privileges.
And then there's this under Section 8:
(b) An abortion shall be permitted if an attending physician licensed in Alabama determines that an abortion is necessary in order to prevent a serious health risk to the unborn child's mother. Except in the case of a medical emergency as defined herein, the physician's determination shall be confirmed in writing by a second physician licensed in Alabama. The confirmation shall occur within 180 days after the abortion is completed and shall be prima facie evidence for a permitted abortion.
Siena Hoefling is right to call it the Alabama Pro-Life Fraud. Excuse my enthusiasm for this very flawed bill. I must have been having a senior moment to overlook these two major problems with the bill.

  1. Sienas husband ran for president 2016. Note trumps dereliction on Alabama: "As most people know, and for those who would like to know, I am strongly Pro-Life, with the three exceptions--Rape, Incest and protecting the Life of the mother--the same position taken by Ronald Reagan. "

  4. You hardly need me to tell you that us Catholics are meant to be different. We are in the world but not of it. We are meant to make impact on the world and be in fact, the Light of the World. The only heartbeat that matters for all immortal souls is the Eternal Sacred Heartbeat and the Precious Blood which flows from it. What more can God give us but his very heart. From all Eternity this heart beat in Spirit in the bosom of God the Father of love and Mercy. Jesus Christ is his heart made flesh, the only person to whom we can truly say “you are all heart”. What can we expect of him as the Just Judge?
God the Father can give us no greater gift from the womb to the tomb than the Precious Blood of his Son, the only means for the removal of original and actual sins from the soul. I honestly believe that God has allowed the devil and all “his seed” to bring his baby soul-snatching machine to the whole world as the last means to separate his Catholic sheep from his Catholic goats. The devil’s war against babies in the womb is the last battlefield in the war against God and his greatest gift-the Precious Blood of his Son in Baptism.
Any Catholic, so called who dies believing that anyone whatever has the right to separate an immortal soul from the bodies he creates in the womb, for any reason will incur the wrath of Almighty God. To condone mortal sin in the eyes of God is the same as committing mortal sin.

  5. Can we ever expect to have a genuine pro life President without these exemptions?
At present I do not think so because of the lack of conviction and education in the current Catholic voting bloc.
    How many use contraception?
How many parishes are hearing the pro life message from the pulpit? I am old enough to remember the Kennedy hype among Catholics when he was running and elected.
Now we know the Kennedy record on fornication.
Meanwhile the AGs are exposing a breathtaking span of pederast clerics for the world to see....
Starting from such a weak political public perception of the Catholic church how can we convince the American public to vote completely pro life ?
At the very most this is a start.

  6. I saw this info a couple days ago. As I live the peoples republic of california, I am familiar with laws that are selectively enforced or ignored all together. Sad times for our country and culture.

...then the end of the Roman republic was at hand, and nothing could save it. The laws were the same as they had been, but the people behind the laws had changed, and so the laws counted for nothing."

  7. Just one more FYI....Before the Jews suffered the Babylonian captivity and had their nation taken away from them, they were sacrificing their babies to Moloch and burning their bodies in the sulphuric dump site outside their city known as Gehenna.

Just my thoughts......If the pro death Dems are elected next time around, America could suffer the same fate as Jerusalem did with Babylon. Only for us, Babylon will be Communist China.

"Gehenna is a small valley in Jerusalem. In the Hebrew Bible, Gehenna was initially where some of the kings of Judah sacrificed their children by fire. Thereafter, it was deemed to be cursed (Jer. 7:31, 19:2-6). In rabbinic literature Gehenna is a destination of the wicked."

  8. Personhood Alliance published this article before the Alabama law was signed into law. Authored by a lawyer who breaks down all the flaws written within the law:
