Phineas T Bluster was a puppet character in the American children's television program Howdy Doody (1949-1960) hosted by Buffalo Bob Smith. Phineas, the resident skinflint and Howdy's nemesis, was one of the Bluster triplets. Don Jose Bluster was the South American brother (living in Buenos Aires, I think, where everyone called him Jorge Bluster.)

However, for the purposes of this fairy tale, we'll pretend that Don Jorge Bluster and King Phineas T Bluster are one and the same puppet person.

I was disappointed when I read that Msgr. Swetland was promoting the false notion of Islam as a "religion of peace" in a debate with Robert Spencer.  Good grief, any person with eyes to see can tell you it's a religion steeped in violence.

I met Msgr. Swetland once years ago and was impressed with his orthodoxy and his zeal for the pro-life cause, so I was particularly disappointed by his, dare I say silly, statements.

When the 9/11 attacks occurred, my husband and I still lived in Alexandria. The Pentagon attack hit close to home -- fewer than ten miles away. And Larry worked there for years before taking a job at Quantico in Fredericksburg. He could have been among the casualties. 

We talked occasionally about where we wanted to retire, but, the truth is we are slow movers, especially my husband whose family lived for several generations in one place. I expected we would stay in Alexandria forever.

The latest Islamic terrorist attack in San Bernardino got me thinking about how these episodes are portrayed.

Have you noticed how, when any violence occurs even in the vicinity of an abortion mill, the media goes into a feeding frenzy? They profile all pro-lifers as crazed terrorists. What are the facts? Since abortion was legalized fewer than a dozen abortionists have been killed and, in more than one case, the murderer has been a mentally unstable individual with no connections to the pro-life movement at all. But that doesn't prevent the mendacious media working for the New York Times or the Washington Post from vicious slanders about those "extremist pro-life Christians!"

Compare that with the way they bend over backwards to avoid profiling Islamic terrorists as, well, Islamic terrorists. Immediately after revealing that the latest act of terrorism was committed by a devout Muslim, they bend over backwards pretending that Islam isn't Islam and that the believers are really "fundamentalists" who are betraying the "religion of peace." The real threat these mendacious reporters insist comes from pro-lifers who, because they oppose ripping babies bodies apart, stir up violence. I'm surprised they haven't figured out a way to blame pro-lifers for the latest atrocity in San Bernardino. But, give 'em time. No doubt they'll find a way even though the real comparison is between those who behead Christians and those who behead babies. Planned Parenthood is filled with domestic terrorists. If the babies could speak (as they will on Judgment Day), they would give articulate witness against the murderers of innocence.

No Greater Love than This: To Lay Down One's Life for One's Friends

Are you tempted to despair about the younger generation? This video should give us all hope. The hatred of the terrorists can never overcome love. Let's pray for the mercy of God on all those young people murdered in cold blood by those who are dead inside and serving their satanic god. We should pray for them as well. Hell awaits for those who fail to repent.

Dick Black is a pro-life hero who has never fled from the battleground. I first met him fighting in the abortion wars when he joined a Les Femmes event protesting a Catholic parish giving an award to pro-abortion state senator Joe Gartlan (who died several years later). Dick came dressed as the grim reaper an appropriate reminder of Gartlan's deadly positions.

As a four-term state delegate, Dick continued to fight vigorously making liberals foam at the mouth when he sent every delegate a 12-week model of an unborn baby. Think about it -- not a graphic picture of an aborted baby but a model of a living baby in the womb. Every mother has longed for a window into the womb to see what her baby looks like, but liberals in the state house were offended and incensed that Black would engage in such an evil tactic. And he became the target of the liberal media. So much for the integrity of these disgusting hypocrites.

Well, Black is now a target of ISIS. He is a personal friend and I beg you to pray for his and his family's safety. Christians can expect the attacks to become more and more virulent both from outside terrorists who hate Christianity and make red martyrs through beheadings and mass executions and home-grown terrorists including gay activists whom make white martyrs by destroying businesses and reputations of anyone who disagrees with their moral perversion.

Pray and do penance for the safety of the Black family. And for your own as well. Anyone who stands up for truth these days is likely to find a bullseye painted on his back.
