SNAP [Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests] claims to be a victim advocacy group. What they really are is a corrupt organization best personified by an octopus. Their tentacles reach out to attach sticky pads to often innocent victims and suck them dry to fill up the SNAP treasure chests. Groups like this do not help real victims. In fact, they use victims as cover to gird themselves in a faux legitimacy, using the faces and stories of victims to fill their coffers. Perhaps we need a network for those abused by SNAP!

ACORN: the Shady Bunch that's remaking itself so it can keep sucking up the tax bucks!

ACORN has been busy remaking itself since the exposure of its illegal activities and fraud last year. But you can be sure that liberal groups never disappear, they just go poof! and reincarnate under a different name. Matthew Vadum's been tracking the repackaging of ACORN; here's what he wrote last April:

ACORN: These Nuts are Involved in the Census?

The latest ACORN scandal involves Baltimore ACORN's tax advisor telling a woman she thought was a hooker and her pimp, actually undercover investigators, how to set up a brothel as a legal business. The adviser doesn't even flinch when the pimp says they are bringing in little girls from El Salvador as young as 14 to "man" the business. How should they handle them? "You can always claim them as dependents," is her advice about the planned abuse. When the pimp says the girls will be turning tricks, she tells them not to report the income because in the state of Maryland it is illegal to work under 16. "If nobody is telling it," she says, "they don't even exist." So much for child sexual abuse.

The two ACORN flunkies have been fired, but does anyone believe this isn't typical of ACORN? Their record is fraud at every level and now add enabling child abuse.

In light of this latest scandal, inquiring minds want to know - What exactly is ACORN's role in the 2010 census? They are listed as a "partner" with the census bureau. Will they be "organizing" their people to take census jobs? Will the census worker who knocks on your door be an ACORN flunky?

"Why does it matter anyway?" you ask. They only have to count. Nope, the census is used politically so its non-partisan integrity is crucial as the Washington Times editorial below points out. "The allocation of seats in Congress, and ultimately questions of who controls it, depend on an accurate count. Much of the money Congress spends is allocated based on the census. Requiring that the census be non-partisan is the first requirement that must be met."

Hold the administration accountable. Obama gave ACORN $800,000 during his campaign to register voters and ACORN fraud was rampant all over the country. Who is calling for ACORN's involvement in the census? The administration tried to put the census under White House control. Do you actually believe Obama has given up attempts to manipulate it? It's time for a serious investigation and not by the foxes guarding the henhouse!

The White House Plans to take the 2010 census away from the Commerce Department and put it under the President. Why does it matter? Because the census is used for lots of things that have political ramifications: apportioning seats in Congress, dishing out federal money, etc. We need a balance of power. Undermining the census is one more betrayal for someone who claims he wants to bring morality to government. This is just Obama's Chicago machine politics moving to Washington. It'll be interesting to see if ACORN gets the contract for conducting the census. Won't that give you confidence in its integrity? By the way, this is getting very little coverage in the mainstream media. Wonder why.

Ah, Illinois, land of Lincoln, and land of bigtime political corruption. Poor Rod Blagojevich is nothing new for Illinois; he just happened to get caught -- on tape no less. Now one question that needs an answer: how did Blago know that Obama was refusing to deal for the Senate seat? Obviously he had been talking to folks on the president-elect's team, if not the president-elect himself. This fact was confirmed on November 23rd by David Axelrod, Obama's campaign chairman, when he said the governor had, indeed, talked to the president-elect about filling his senate seat. Ah...but that fact is inconvenient now in light of the scandal; so drop it down the memory hole and tap dance away from the truth. Axelrod now claims he misspoke and Obama denies any conversations with the gov. It's shuck and jive time.

No surprise. Remember, Obama was trained according to Saul Alinsky's ethics. The end justifies the means and lying is perfectly acceptable when necessary to accomplish the desired goal. At this point, the goal is obviously to put as much distance as possible between Obama and the scandal.

But Blagojevich obviously knows more than what he's said so far (although his foul mouth has certainly said plenty) and does anyone think he will go down quietly? There is no honor among thieves nor among corrupt politicians. Obama will sacrifice Blagojevich in a heartbeat just has he has others if he can. But if the governor has any hard evidence of Obama involvement watch for a deal -- a pardon perhaps after Obama becomes president and maybe an appointment down the line?

One thing's for sure -- political watchers who enjoy scandals will have plenty to keep them riveted in the days and weeks ahead. The cover up has already started and the inauguration is still five weeks away. Rush and Sean will have plenty of fodder for their radio shows if they aren't forced off the air by the (UN)fairness Doctrine.

As for us ordinary folk -- tighten your seat belts and check the air bags.
