SNAP = Scurrilous, Nasty, Avaricious and Pernicious. They Advocate for Themselves

Latest target of SNAP, a crime syndicate masquerading as a victim advocacy group!

SNAP [Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests] claims to be a victim advocacy group. What they really are is a corrupt organization best personified by an octopus. Their tentacles reach out to attach sticky pads to often innocent victims and suck them dry to fill up the SNAP treasure chests. Groups like this do not help real victims. In fact, they use victims as cover to gird themselves in a faux legitimacy, using the faces and stories of victims to fill their coffers. Perhaps we need a network for those abused by SNAP!

The Disgraceful Appointment of a Clergy Abuse Enabler to the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.

Robert McElroy
No doubt self-described "devout Catholics," Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, are delighted with Pope Francis' shocking elevation of Cardinal Robert McElroy to the episcopate of the nation's capitol. They need not fear any criticism or call to conversion from a man who enabled clergy sex abuse and covered it up. That Francis would do this fits with his enabling of sexual immorality, but, in view of the public exposure of McElroy's unfitness, it simply adds to the lack of respect for the Vatican and the office of the pope.

But perhaps that's the idea. Looking at it from the perspective of those who hate the Church, anything that reduces respect for the the man who sits in the chair of Peter and the successors of the apostles may be seen as a big plus. Reduce the papacy and the episcopate to a dirty joke! McElroy certainly fills the bill in that regard.

When Shepherds Become CEOs, It's a Sad Day for the Church!

Anyone familiar with the case of Fr. Gordon MacRae knows that false accusations against
Catholic priests are not unusual. The Church is seen as a cash cow by unscrupulous ambulance chasers and "trauma counselors" eager to fleece the flock. Fr. MacRae describes one lawyer who has brought hundreds of cases against the Church often seeking dead priests to accuse, since they are no longer here to defend themselves. Some on diocesan websites listed as "credibly accused" are innocent. One in my own diocese who remains on the list was exonerated. Some of his brother priests who wanted his name removed objected but it remains on the list to this day.

I suspect that bishops eagerly add to the list of "credibly accused" to show how vigilant they are to protect the flock. Perhaps they feel it exonerates them for moving priests around to abuse again, lying to victims and their parents, and covering up criminal abuse. In too many cases any priest accused is presumed guilty unless proved innocent. That's a little difficult for accusations that are decades old and have no evidence except the word of someone who stands to gain big bucks for the accusation.

Fr. Gordon MacRae and Beyond These Stone Walls

I received a letter yesterday from a very unusual priest, Fr. Gordon MacRae. I call him unusual because I doubt many priests would do what he did. Falsely accused of molesting a minor, the victim of trumped up "evidence" by a corrupt "justice" system in New Hampshire, he refused to be bribed by a plea deal. He could have been out of jail in one or two years if he took the plea. He refused because he was innocent. And now he is on the cusp of "celebrating" thirty years in prison.

Read these quotes from the website, Beyond These Stone Walls:
“Fr Gordon MacRae is beyond innocent. It is a travesty that he is in jail. If you listened and read the evidence, transcripts, videos, audio tapes you would be horrified. The people who did this need to get on their knees and beg forgiveness from God. + If they don’t ... .”

The Legacy of Dallas: Scapegoating Innocent Priests

This is the lead article from the Spring issue of the Les Femmes newsletter, The Truth. You can find the full newsletter at www.lesfemmes-thetruth.org.

Antonio Gramsci, Marxist revolutionary - How
many of our bishops are offspring of his plan?
Sometimes the best way to understand the present is to study the past. The chaos in the Church over the sex abuse scandals and the incompetent, even criminal, way bishops deal with it didn't come from nowhere. It was planned and orchestrated. We could go back several generations to Bella Dodd's 1953 testimony to the House Committee on Un-American Activities where she outlined how, as a Communist agent, she infiltrated the seminaries with homosexuals in the 1930s. It was Antonio Gramsci's strategy of destroying the enemy from within. Gramsci saw that the Christian West could not be destroyed by direct assault. The institutions had to be subverted first. As author

Fr. James Thornton writes in Gramsci's Grand Plan:

When Will We Get the Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing BUT the Truth from These Lying Bishops?

Just the Facts, Bishops!
McCarrick: Many Grave Additional Questions

CUPICH COVERS UP BERNARDIN RAPE CHARGE, FALSELY CLAIMS ALL ALLEGATIONS REPORTED

The smoke of Satan hasn't only invaded the sanctuary, one can hardly see for the smoke filling up the entire Church and spilling out the windows! And the arsonists are at the highest levels in the Church. No wonder we have horrible situations going on everywhere!

I just got a phone call from a concerned mom about a school in my diocese that is admitting a KINDERGARTNER this September who is "transitioning" from a boy to a girl. Did you get that -- a 5-year-old thinks he's a girl and his parents (and the school) are going along with it!

Headlines and Article blurbs about the Sex Abuse Summit

Where is Cardinal O'Malley?  Phil Lawler weighs in the Vatican Meeting Programmed for Failure.
Conspicuously missing from the program is any major address by Cardinal Sean O’Malley, the chairman of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. It was shocking that Cardinal O’Malley was not included in the preparatory commission for the event; it is still more astonishing that he is not listed among the featured speakers.
Cardinals Burke, Brandmüller challenge bishops to speak out, defend faith
Cardinals Burke and Brandmüller insist that Church leaders must address not only the protection of young people from abuse, but a “much greater crisis” in the Church. They point to homosexual influence that “has been spread within the Church, promoted by organized networks and protected by a climate of complicity and a conspiracy of silence.”
Pope's 21 "Reflection Points" on the crisis say not one word about homosexuality!
Several of the suggestions are on the theme of seminary formation of priests and the proper penalties for priests or religious who commit abuse. [but completely ignore the necessity to screen out homosexuals from the priesthood #16, #17, #18]
Stay tuned.....

The Suicide of Clerical Sexual Predators
Following close on the heels of the suicide of victims of clerical sex abuse, is the tragedy of Catholic priests and religious (male and female) involved in homosexuality and pederasty who take their own lives. The rising tide of suicide among clerics, especially those involved in the sexual abuse of minors and vulnerable adults has become a serious problem not only for the Catholic Church in America, but also abroad including Ireland, Australia. Belgium and Poland.

Sex Abuse Victims and Clerical Suicide
A Study of the Toxic Legacy of Clerical Molestation
By Randy Engel
Introduction

On February 21-24, 2019, Pope Francis will convene an international  “summit” on clerical sexual abuse and the protection of minors (and vulnerable adults) in the Church in the New Synod Hall in Rome. The meeting will focus on three particular areas — responsibility, accountability and transparency. It will include plenary sessions, working groups, moments of common prayer and listening to testimonies, a penitential liturgy and a final Eucharistic celebration. The plenary sessions with be directed by the Italian Jesuit, Father Federico Lombardi, former Director of the Vatican Press Office from 2006 to 2010.

Nabi Sayeth: Will the Vatican “Committee” be Just Another Heapin' Helpin' Dose of Bureaucracy?

Clergy sex abuse victim, Marie Collins, who resigned from
the Pontifical Committee for the Protection of Minors -
Read her story!
Nabi Sayeth: It has been announced that Pope Francis has called bishops from around the world to meet in February 2019 at the Vatican to plan the Catholic Church’s response, as a body, to the sexual abuse crisis. Father Hans Zollner, a Jesuit priest who is involved with the planning process for the meeting was interviewed by Vatican News and he made the following comments:
What is the Committee's goal?
Everything needs to be prepared. And in order to prepare everything well, there needs to be someone to shoulder the burden. The meeting in February is an important event; it’s very important for the Church. It is necessary that it be prepared well, and that it involve all of the Episcopal Conferences right away.

Nabi Sayeth: Where Have All the Good Shepherds Gone?

Nabi’s Heart is heavy because of what Nabi knows about the machinations, maneuverings and misdeeds of those who clawed their way into positions of power in Holy Mother Church and who did so underneath the noses of the very trusting laity. Nabi often wonders what is going on in the head of a clergyman each time a particular reading is read at Holy Mass that describes the true role of the shepherd who is supposed to be a disciple of Our Lord, such as Mark 10: 45…

Abuser McCarrick got the Red Hat; Fr. Haley Who Tried to Protect the Flock Got the Butcher's Knife

He Preyed on Men Who Wanted to Be Priests

Reading stories about Cardinal McCarrick's sordid history of abuse make me so angry I need to go out and pound rocks. Sadly, he is becoming the icon for the hierarchy. How many of his "brethren" are just like him? If not abusers themselves, enablers and advancers of the abusers.

The Synods on the Family gave us a magnified view of so many evil men in red hats willing to lie and preen in front of the cameras while they undermined the faith. When I see the dissent to Church teaching among the "princes" of the Church, I recall Bishop Bruskewitz at the Dallas meeting making a motion to study the link between dissent and the sex abuse scandals. He couldn't even get a second! The bishops just wanted the bad news to go away or at least be redirected away from their own culpability.      Read more...

How Predator Priests Groom Their Victims: A Lesson for Parents!

Many Catholics believe the sex abuse scandals are a thing of the past. They aren't. A number of dioceses continue to coddle homosexual priests who maintain same-sex relationships, enjoy pornography, embezzle parish funds and are a real threat to the young. As recently as last Spring, a group of laity in Miami at St. Rose of Lima put together a dossier on their pastor, Fr. Pedro Corces, who was cavorting with his gay boyfriend and making changes at the school that concerned parents. He gave his boyfriend who had an extensive criminal background a maintenance job at the parish.

When they took their information to Bishop Thomas Wenski did he thank the parents? No, it was deja vu: attack the messengers! He excoriated the laity, conducted his own investigation, and exonerated the priest in early July although he asked him to resign as pastor. Interestingly, Corces was also vocations director from 1996-2006. Now who exactly do you think he was bringing into the seminaries? More about Fr. Corces here. I bring this up because the case below is an old one. But what happened to the family and the "grooming" techniques used to molest the children is as typical today as it was then. Find a vulnerable family, befriend them especially the young boys, take them on outings alone, and when the timing is right molest them. Sometimes the children are threatened not to tell and the abuse can go on for years. This case is heartbreaking, but things like this are still going on. And Wenski's behavior in Miami shows that the Child Protection Programs are, in many cases, a farce!

The Chickens Come Home to Roost in Altoona: The Legacy of Bishop Joseph Adamec

Grand Jury: Altoona Diocese Covered Up Sex Abuse of Hundreds of Children

Wanderer Readers will remember Paul Likoudis' series on Bishop Joseph Adamec's "reign of terror" in Altoona. Faithful Catholics in the diocese fought to restore orthodoxy to no avail. A 2007 article summarized The Wanderer's expose in these words:
In 1996, The Wanderer published a six-week series on Bishop Adamec’s “reign of terror” in the diocese, his persecution of priests and his malicious treatment of concerned laity who objected to his lavish personal lifestyle, his tolerance of liturgical abuses, the cultivation of his cult of personality and the dubious selection of seminarians
