An open letter to Michael Voris

Michael and the never ending battle

Dear Michael Voris,

I'm here to help you out in what seems to be a dilemma for you. I have the answer to Church Militant's problem. Whether or not you'll listen is up to you.

A) Recognize the problem

Church Militant's problem is that it's fighting a losing battle. You're constantly playing ecclesial Whac-A-Mole. No sooner does Church Militant whack down one priest, bishop or cardinal for sodomy, stealing or some other equally nefarious thing, than another worse problem jumps up and you then have to whack that problem down. It's never ending and will never be controlled. It's impossible because you're fighting against the Modernism that Vatican II placed within Christ's Church. It's everywhere in every crook and corner of every diocese in every parish in the entire world.

Jesus and the devil go to confession, get the same penance

Jesus goes into the confessional and tells the priest that He's perfect, that He's like God, that in fact He is God and likes babies and people and animals and the beautiful world He created, that He tries to guide each person to heaven, that He wants sinners to amend their lives and live with Him in heaven forever.

The priest thinks, "Hmmmm - a bit prideful, isn't He. Pride is definitely a sin," so he gives Jesus His penance: "Do an act of mercy." Jesus then goes out of the confessional to heal the sick, make the blind see and the deaf hear. He raises the dead and then does the most merciful act of all - He dies on the cross so that we can be redeemed and live in heaven with Him for eternity.

The devil then goes into the confessional and tells the priest that he has compassion for all people and their rights, that he is a devoted social justice warrior, that he accompanies people on their earthly journey encouraging them to fight for their rights whatever they might be - the right to move about freely from country to country, the right to be themselves or change themselves into whatever they dream themselves to be, the right to be free from all burdens and authority, the right to think and speak as they want.

Homosexuality: Behind the Cottage Door

The unbelievably happy home of two homosexuals
* Homosexual Heaven
is Really Hell

No teaching of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church is clearer, more pastoral or more logical than that on homosexuality, as presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1997, 2nd Edition). The Catechism makes a firm distinction between homosexual acts and the homosexually oriented persons themselves. It proclaims the eternal truths of Scripture in condemning all such
actions, as follows:
  • Homosexual acts are acts of grave depravity.
  • Homosexual acts are objectively disordered.
  • Homosexual acts are contrary to the natural law because they close the sexual act to the gift of life and do not proceed from a genuine effective and sexual complementarity.
  • Under no circumstances can homosexual acts be approved.

The January 17th Trump Awards for Most Corrupt and Biased Mainstream Media Losers

Ugliest Church of the Year Award
Orlando Diocese, 2001
This is going to be interesting. President Donald Trump will announce his Fake News Awards to "the most corrupt and biased Mainstream Media losers" on January 17th!

This must mean that the losers will be added to the ranks of other Trump foes with monikers he has bestowed upon them including “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz, “Little Marco” Rubio, “Liddle” Bob Corker, “Low Energy Jeb” Bush and “Crooked Hillary” Clinton.

The latest on his list is "Sloppy Steve" Bannon, President Trump's former chief strategist dismissed in the wake of a disputed book about the Trump administration. Bannon also has been accused of being "responsible for the majority of the first-year leaks coming out of the Trump administration."

The Anti-Catholicism of SDA Pastor Bill Hughes

The follow-up article posted on August 16th is HERE.

I'm here to tell you that all evils in the world
are heavily influenced by the Jesuits, because
the Catholic Church and the Pope are "hell bent
on world domination." - Pastor Bill Hughes

The following article is from The Orlando Truth,
Summer 2017, Issue No. 62.

Arthur Schlesinger Sr. of Harvard University has called anti-Catholicism “the deepest bias in the history of the American people”, even more pernicious than anti-Semitism. During most of American history, anti-Catholicism has been an exceedingly potent force. At least through the early part of the 20th century, and in some quarters even today, Protestants accepted that the Catholic Church was the monstrous creature prophesied in the Biblical Book of Revelation as the “mother of harlots” clothed in purple and scarlet, who held in her hand “a golden cup full of abominations.” The Pope, as its leader, was vilified as the Antichrist. Though now rarely heard in respectable discourse, these ideas have never entirely vanished. Isolated propagandists continue to circulate anti-papal and anti-Catholic mythologies, presenting the Church as the hidden hand behind the world’s governments and financial systems. A major worldwide publisher of such vitriol is headquartered in Eustis, Florida. Their book storage facility and global distribution center is supposedly located on a former Ku Klux Klan (KKK) site in the vicinity of Eustis, Florida. This enterprise, titled TRUTH TRIUMPHANT, is owned and operated by Pastor Bill and Hoda Hughes, who are Seventh Day Adventists. Their absurd slanders could readily be considered unimportant, indeed laughable, and be dismissed without further comment except for the fact that they have become suppliers to a worldwide network of missionaries eager for their lies about the Catholic Church. Theirs is a deadly serious operation with the most sinister overtones, especially because of their appeal to the uneducated, who are least able to ascertain the falsehoods.

Ordinary Conscience Cannot Exempt from the Church's Moral law

Ordinary Conscience Cannot Exempt from the Church's Moral Law
by Rudolph Lohse

The classic definition of “conscience” in the Catholic Church is that of Thomas Aquinas, for whom “conscience is the mind of man passing moral judgments.” It is the voice of reason, separated from feeling, emotion and desire. Conscience is imbedded in the intellect which apprehends and interprets the moral law. It is not an immediate internal illumination of each person for himself without reference to an objective norm found outside of man and independent of his subjective persuasion. It requires development and careful training for knowing the laws of God. We have an obligation to educate it.

Today, many “Catholics in Name Only” (CHINO) use an appeal to conscience to try to justify their aberrant behavior, in violation of the moral law as taught by our Church. A typical statement, often counseled to the laity by misguided priests is: “The Church says that if a teaching is not designated as a dogma, and if two or three moral theologians hold a contrary opinion, a Catholic is not conscience-bound to follow the teaching of the Magisterium.” These priests insinuate that sin only happens when people have failed to follow their conscience. So if, personally, you do not think that an objective sin is really a sin, these priests claim that it is not a sin for you. Such comments completely misrepresent Church teaching, because they are gross and irresponsible oversimplifications. This is a serious error, which misleads people into thinking they are avoiding sin, when in fact they remain quite guilty of their immoral actions.

Pascal's Wager

Pascal’s Wager

 by Rudolph Lohse

Blaise Pascal, a prominent French philosopher living in the skeptical age of the 17th century, was the author of the Pensees in which he argued that reason alone could never answer the question of whether God exists or not. Therefore he developed his famous wager concerning the manner in which a person should best conduct his life on earth in order to gain maximum happiness. At the far end of life, Pascal said that a coin is being tossed that will come down heads (God) or tails (no God). So how will you wager, i.e. how will you live your life in view of the uncertainty of that final truth?
Pascal’s Wager answered that central question by essentially claiming that:“It makes more sense to believe in God than not to believe. If you believe, and God exists, you will be rewarded in the afterlife. If you do not believe and He exists, you will be punished for your disbelief. If He does not exist, you have lost nothing either way.”

Would Jesus Vote Democrat or Republican?

Would Jesus Vote Democrat or Republican?

From The Educated Catholic: Forever Catholic by Rudolph Lohse (orlandotruth@mail.com)

The Catholic Church is not a political party. It is a defender of the moral law. Jesus is not partisan and would never support a particular political group, such as the Democrats or Republicans. Rather Jesus would vote to uphold the moral teachings He has entrusted to His Church for safekeeping through the Pope and Magisterium, i.e. the bishops in communion with the Pope. Thus Jesus would be oriented to specific issues to determine and support those that are in accord with His divine law, and permit flexibility of choice to the people whenever the issues are primarily secular rather than divinely mandated. This is entirely consistent with His mandate to “Render to Caesar (the world) the things that are Caesar’s, and render to God the things that are God’s.” From this frame of reference, consider the following issues that have become the focal point of political campaigns:

God's Things
One must preserve God's Law by always opposing:

Abortion
Same-sex marriage
Embryonic stem cell research
Cloning
Infanticide
Euthanasia

I Rest My Case!

Here we go again with another priest bashing story [Where are all the public school teacher abuser stories?] only this time it's all too true. I know because two of the three named priests are from the Diocese of Orlando and Fr Robert D'Aversa, TOR, is the pastor at St Patrick Catholic Community just 5 miles away.
