I got another book-length comment from a troll yesterday which pushed me over the edge on suffering fools, an expression my dad sometimes used which I never liked. I take seriously the biblical admonition not to call your brother "raca." But, really, there are so many out there trolling the internet and enjoying the power of anonymous insults!

Monday Morning Musings.
It's been a busy few weeks. I spent five days in April with my blogging partner, Susan, who lives in Florida. We met in North Carolina at her daughter's cabin in the woods, a great spot to appreciate the glory of God in His creation and revel in our friendship. We always laugh a lot when we're together. How can one not laugh at the insanity of the world? As one Catholic blogger says, "We laugh because we believe." The long drive back to northern Virginia was grueling for this old lady, but the weather was beautiful, the woods and fields fresh and green. While the redbud and daffodils were finished, the dogwood put on a full bloom show all the way home.

Biden invites ‘Tennessee Three’ Democrats who faced expulsion over gun violence protest to White House
Let's talk about insurrection. We're in the middle of it that's for sure. And the leaders of the insurrection are in the White House and on Capitol Hill. They also build their empires in the federal bureaucracies robbing the taxpayers while they accept bribes and kickbacks and insider trading tips from their supporters.

The Flies are Conquering the Fly Paper!
If you've ever been in a barn where the farmer hangs sticky fly paper to trap the flies, you can see the image in your mind and realize the irony of the statement. The lieutenant knows that the people at headquarters are lying about the state of the war. The defeated people have not welcomed the invaders, but have developed a cold, uncooperative resolution to fight in their own subtle ways. They will never give in. And gradually, like the flypaper, they are taking their toll on the invading army.

Pass on The Truth! St. Athanasius
“For our canons and our forms were not given to the Churches at the present day, but were wisely and safely transmitted to us from our forefathers. Neither had our faith its beginning at this time, but it came down to us from the Lord through His disciples.”
How to Respond to the Evil Trinity of Wokeism? Live Not by Lies!
| Mao's Cultural Revolution reflects wokeism better than Marx! |
One of my favorite magazines is Chronicles. The latest issue focused on the question, "Is Wokeism Marxist?" All of the writers came to the conclusion that it isn't. Marxism warred against capitalism and the inequality between workers and owners. It's target was economic inequality and the downfall of capitalism. That is not what's running the engine of wokeism. One writer made a compelling case that Mao's cultural revolution offers a more accurate portrayal of our current crisis.

Guest Post: SCANDALOUS PRIDE MASS AT ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST PARISH IN SAN DIEGO
| Prayer warriors gather at St. John the Evangelist to make reparation for the sacrilege of promoting a sin that cries out to God for vengeance. Our Lady of Victory, pray for us. |
Saint John the Evangelist, a parish in San Diego’s homosexual Hillcrest neighborhood notorious for its promotion of pro-sodomy initiatives, advertises a 5:00 PM Sunday Mass hosted by the church’s LGBTQ Ministry. The parish also offers an LGBTQ monthly social/potluck, LGBTQ prayer and support group, and other activities, and has marched in San Diego’s “gay pride” parade.

Nefarious and the Fatima Visiion of Hell
Ever since I saw Nefarious, the movie about the criminal possessed by the devil, I've been thinking about poor sinners. Jacinta, the little seer of Fatima, constantly reminded her brother and cousin, "We need to pray for poor sinners!" Horrified at the vision of souls falling into hell like snowflakes, she became a little victim soul trying to save all she could from the fires of hell. She accepted sufferings that would make an adult squirm.
