"Alabama is going to lead the nation in protecting the sanctity of life,”

If I ever leave Virginia, I think I'll head for the "heart of Dixie," Alabama! The people of the Yellowhammer state truly have a big heart for God's littlest lambs and they proved it yesterday by passing HB 314, the Human Life Protection Act which heads for the governor's desk. It takes direct aim at Roe v. Wade identifying the baby in the womb as a "person."

State Senator Clyde Chambliss told the Washington Post:
“Planned Parenthood can try to derail the bill, as they did in spending over a million dollars to unsuccessfully oppose a pro-life ballot measure last fall in Alabama. But the outcome will be the same: Alabamians will stand on the side of life.”
According to CNA [Catholic News Agency]:
Supporters of the Alabama bill have said their intention is to use the ensuing court battle to force the Supreme Court to revisit Roe v Wade. If the Human Life Protection Act becomes law, it would face an immediate challenge and likely be prevented from coming into force.
Here are some important statements from the bill:
In the United States Declaration of 25 Independence, the principle of natural law that "all men are 26 created equal" was articulated. The self-evident truth found 27 in natural law, that all human beings are equal from creation, was at least one of the bases for the anti-slavery movement, 2 the women's suffrage movement, the Nuremberg war crimes 3 trials, and the American civil rights movement. If those 4 movements had not been able to appeal to the truth of 5 universal human equality, they could not have been successful.

Abortion advocates speak to women's rights, but 7 they ignore the unborn child, while medical science has 8 increasingly recognized the humanity of the unborn child.
The bill defines the unborn baby as a person:
UNBORN CHILD, CHILD or PERSON. A human being, 18 specifically including an unborn child in utero at any stage 19 of development, regardless of viability.
It has teeth:
Section 6. (a) An abortion performed in violation of 13 this act is a Class A felony. 14 (b) An attempted abortion performed in violation of 15 this act is a Class C felony.
Pray that HB 314 becomes the spearhead that drives the demon of abortion out of our beloved country.

Our Lady of America, pray for us!

  2. Mary, it’s me again Lourdesman/Our Lady of Lourdes Believer. It is a joy to believe the Dogma of the Catholic Church that she alone of all God’s human creatures was conceived without original sin. Then her spouse, the Holy Spirit sent her to Lourdes to confirm the Dogma proclaimed by his Church. “I am the Immaculate Conception” she said leaving the miraculous water which signifies God’s greatest and most necessary gift for life and eternal life - the water of Baptism which alone remakes souls immaculate as Adam was Immaculate before he brought death and decay on all of us.
Anyway, as the war in this country against Baptism continues I am going to settle finally for the title of Catholics for the Immaculate Lamb.

You mention the helpless lambs but don’t forget Our Lady’s Immaculate Lamb as she laid him in the manger while already the demon inspired abortionists of Herod are after the only man child conceived without sin.
