I received this email today from a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales in Purcelville who is up in arms over the treatment of Fr. Ron Escalante. What she urges is absolutely necessary. Silence in the face of calumny and injustice is unacceptable. If you aren't aware of the mistreatment of Fr. Escalante go here. Defend your good priests before there aren't any left!

What do you think? Will Cupich use this as an opportunity to identify the good priests he wants to deep six? Cupich has already shown what he's capable of by his persecution of Fr. Phillips and his promotion of all things "gay," like his shilling for homosexual propagandist James Martin.  He is as trustworthy as a snake. Let's pray there is a mongoose or two among his priests who are interested in protecting children! Cupich should go the same way as his buddies McCarrick and Wuerl who looks to be on the way out the door, please God! Farrell and Tobin next!

After reading this article, I left the following comment:

One more example of bad bishops undermining the faith. Priests can attend pride marches and shill for same-sex marriage like Fr. Martin and be lauded and given Vatican posts. Faithful priests get the cross and the nine inch nails. That's why I don't despair. The blood of the martyrs (even white martyrs) is the seedbed of the faith. This persecution is the Good Friday that will bring the Resurrection! I'm praying for Fr. Larkin and exposing this rot on my blog with an address for the bishop. May he hear from people all over the world about this injustice!

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin removed Fr. Larkin from his pastoral assignment forbidding him to say any public Masses or have any contact with former parishioners.
