Please Help a Pro-Life Champion

I sent this message out this evening to my email list. Please help!

Dear Friends,

I've written before asking your financial and prayer support for solid pro-life, pro-family candidates. And I'm asking again for a man who is a great pro-lifer and a personal friend, Bob Marshall.

It's hard to believe that a Virginia House of Delegates member could become a national target of the homosexual lobby, but Bob is the top target of national and state pro homosexual groups and abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL whom he's fought for years.

For example, the homosexual advocacy group, Equality Virginia PAC, wrote recently:

Defeating Marshall (like our prior defeats of Delegates Dick Black and Brad Marrs) would echo resoundingly in the Republican caucus and among some conservative Democrats … EVPAC is continuing our work to build collaborations with … national groups to provide … effective backing for pro-equality campaigns.

Their purpose is not just to defeat Bob. It is to ensure that other legislators across the United States will not challenge the homosexual agenda and to eliminate lawmakers who take their faith seriously. Last October 31, 2008, Time Magazine ("The Gay Mafia That's Redefining Liberal Politics”) showed how out-of-state homosexual money already defeated two Virginia pro-family state delegates in 2005.

Bob Marshall does not duck difficult questions. Bob flew pro-life activist Julie Mackama (who was conceived as a result of sexual assault) into Virginia for a Richmond legislative hearing. Julie spoke for Bob’s bill which blocked tax-paid “Morning After Pills” at state colleges. (Bob’s bill passed the House of Delegates, but failed in a Senate Committee.)

Former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave (R-CO) lost in 2008, because she ran out of money and could not answer fabricated claims brought against her by the same homosexual and abortion groups now trying to beat Bob Marshall. Bob Marshall is running in his 10th general election, and he needs our help!

Bob is holding a fund-raising event at Rappahannock Cellars on August 30 from 5:30 to 7:30. If you live in the Northern Virginia area come on out. I'll be there to support Bob and I'd love to meet you.

You and I can ensure that the state legislator and All Saints parishioner who authored Virginia’s Constitutional Marriage Amendment in 2006, and Virginia’s ban on Partial Birth infanticide abortions does not lose his office this November for lack of support from those of us who have the gift of Faith.

Go to Bob's web site to see his broad appeal. I ask you to join me in supporting Bob Marshall’s reelection with a check, the largest you can make. Virginia has no limit on campaign donations and corporate money is allowed. You can donate on-line at the website or mail your check to Friends of Bob Marshall P.O. Box 421 Manassas, VA 20108.

I know these are hard economic times, but if we love the unborn and value family we really need to come through for people like Bob who are more than politicians. Bob is a warrior for the Lord. He needs our prayers and our pocketbooks.

May the Lord reward you for whatever you can do to help Bob be re-elected to the Virginia House of Delegates this November.

With a grateful heart,

Mary Ann Kreitzer

  2. I believe supporting people like Bob is dangerous. Dangerous because instead of adopting thoughtful positions, he makes crude, degrading and derogatory remarks which are so crude that they cannot be posted here.

His views on abortion and contraception are extreme and without regard for the mother or the experience of medical practitioners.

He is the very essence of putting the government in control of the examining room, forcing others to practice his religion and government control of others to help keep his world neat and tidy.

He has arrogated unto himself the marriage relationship between medicine and religion.

He is dangerous. His extreme views on abortion can only be those of and consistent with being an absolute pacifist. Bob is not an absolute pacifist. His belief in war is mutually exclusive of his views on abortion.

For someone who is always talking about scaremongering, this is the epitome of that. You quote out of context, make sweeping statements that include no facts just opinions based on nothing (including false and slanderous accusations which I deleted.) I am too polite to use the words that accurately describe this post.

Bob's positions are principled and based on respect for the Constitution and the rights of individuals -- not just those big enough to beat up those weaker than themselves.

As for extreme (and extremely dangerous people)...it's those who can defend pulling a baby into the birth canal, stabbing him in the head, and sucking out his brains on one end of the life spectrum. Then those who advocate starving and dehydrating to death the weak and vulnerable and elderly on the other end of the life spectrum.

I haven't seen anything in your posts that indicates you could hold a candle to Bob as far as intelligent and respectful debate is concerned or even compassion

And when it comes to putting government in the examining room -- that's exactly what the Obama health care plan does, that you think is so wonderful, does. Government bureaucrats decide on tests and treatments not the doctor consulting with his patient.

The last few posts you've entered are nothing but drivel.
