Are These Peaceful Protests? Or Are the Violent Organizers Using the Peaceful as Shields?

I'm a little hard-nosed these days about allowing comments that are longer than my original blog posts. If you want to write a dissertation, start your own blog. The latest blathering comment with multiple links started by saying, "I'm glad people are protesting." It continued with some examples of what it considered ICE abuses.

Are there any abuses by ICE and other law enforcement groups? No doubt. Chaotic situations contribute to things getting out of control. But does that justify the prolonged riots with people attacking law enforcement, vandalizing buildings, looting, burning police cars, throwing rocks and other missiles at police?

All these people burning the U.S. flag and waving the Mexican flag? Why are they here? These are all tactics that have been used by communists for decades. And while you see these folks talking about fascism, their behavior is what's fascist.

I'm not opposed to protests. I've spent decades protesting abortion including by sitting in at abortion businesses. I've faced arrest, gone to court, and served sentences in jail. Never once did I physically or even verbally assault a police officer or an abortion worker. Never did I or any of my colleagues commit vandalism.

Many of these recent riots are opportunities for those who want to create mayhem and take advantage of the chaos to loot and burn. Who are the groups behind the riots? This is not just random, folks. And it is not peaceful. The violence is deliberate and it's all about destroying America. It's Act II of the illegal invasion. Bring in the invaders and then help them organize the internal attack! And the LAPD and Governor Newsome are enablers of the violence and chaos. They need to be held accountable. Victor Davis Hanson's assessment is worth checking out. He is a reasonable man who always speaks calmly and respectfully. Watch it to your benefit. And pray for peace.

  1. The traitors among us opened the gates and let the enemy in. These enemies naturally assume they now own the place … and unless we fix the crime and expel the enemy back outside the “gates”, they do own the place.

These “protests” are nothing more than that - the enemy we let in, now asserting their rights of ownership and their own particular laws. Those who support the alien invaders are the same criminals who opened the gates in the first place.

  2. Christian Charity demands (not a suggestion) that we give of ourselves to those in need. We are not to hoard, rather to give - and not just a little but a lot. We Catholics do this, all in our own unique way and set of particular circumstances.

But that doesn’t mean God suspends, thereby, the Law of Justice in the infinitely various charitable transactions is suspended, thereby compelling charity against our will and personal circumstance.

An analogy to this ongoing injustice of invaders struck me. It may be too long, but it is what it is …

I have a home and limited wealth to sustain those in the home and a rational mind and will to create a sense of order and justice among the family in my care who reside therein. One night, while we are sleeping, a couple fellows passing by decide the upstairs space is perfect for them, they climb a tree, jimmy the window, move in all their things to our guest rooms and take over what used to be our guest rooms/family space. They have parties, play loud music, come and go through our downstairs, eat meals when they’re hungry, crank the AC to remain comfortable, invite friends over, move our children from their own rooms and make them share space to open up rooms for their friends to join the party.

My resources, formerly dedicated to my family, are dwindling. I can no longer afford to provide for all their needs, since a large uninvited presence is taking that from them. What used to be a calm and stable household is now chaotic, increasingly violent and a place of fear rather than peace. I used to do catechism class, now we can’t hear each other over the rave parties upstairs and down.

Iow … the house no longer belongs to me and mine, because in the name of unjust charity, someone else took what didn’t belong to them in an ongoing act of theft. THAT is the equivalent of illegal migration: unjust taking what belongs to another rather than voluntary acts of charity, given after recourse to reason and love.

The result of injustice is always some variation of what we see playing out on the streets of our big cities - violence, hate, anger. We have a big problem on our hands, taking back our “house” from a large hoard of invaders.
