The vicious stabbing of Stephanie Minter who was found dead at a bus stop on February 25th in Hybla Valley shook me. My family lived in Hybla Valley for thirty years less than half a mile from Route 1. We used to walk over to the Seven 11 in Mount Vernon Square. The Arlington Drive bus stop was only a few miles south.

I didn't take the bus often, but occasionally rode to the Huntington metro station by bus because parking there was often scarce. One summer we had a Christendom College student living with us while she interned at the diocesan paper, the Arlington Catholic Herald. She took the bus to work every day!

Many Virginians are probably unaware of an abortion amendment that is making its way through the Virginia legislature. It allows all abortions up to birth. Do you remember when Virginia's former governor, Ralph Northam, went even beyond killing babies in the womb up to delivery? He publicly stated that after birth parents and the doctor could decide whether to kill a baby (presumably by neglect) after birth. There is no limit to the Democrats' willingness to murder people at any stage of life, from the little one in the womb to the sick and elderly near the end of life. Their hate-filled rhetoric inspired the shooter at the ballfield in Alexandria (2017) who almost killed Congressman Steve Scalise. It inspired attacks on conservatives at restaurants, movie theatres, gas stations and shopping malls. They enabled and encouraged the BLM/Antifa riots that decimated so many of our cities. And now we're seeing the fallout from The Joe Biden's continuous hate speech culminating in Philadelphia when he labeled half the country dangerous domestic terrorists who "threaten our democracy."

Bigotry is endemic and hate for all kinds of reasons lives in the human hearts of those who ignore God and His laws. Cain killed Able because he was jealous of his brother. Able was no less dead because he died from the sin of envy rather than the sin of racism.

When you look at the violence fomented by the Democrats it seems  to me that it is just as much about envy as color. In Beverly Hills, rioters, many of them white, screamed, "Eat the rich." In Rochester, same deal, they told restaurants diners they were putting an end to the party. "If you don't give us our sh**, we'll shut this down!"

Trump Surge Freakout: More Violence against Supporters

The Democrats have spent the entire campaign accusing Trump and his supporters of fomenting violence, but the truth is that the violence is coming from the Democrats and their paid operatives. If you are a Trump supporter you know people who have been verbally or even physically attacked, had their signs stolen, had their cars keyed or worse.

Democrats talk about tolerance but it's a one-way street. Tolerate their opinions about (take your pick) abortion, sodomy, same sex marriage, euthanasia, assisted suicide, cannibalizing embryos for their stem cells, open borders, Obamacare, etc. If you dare to debate any of these issues and present a reasoned case against them you are (take your pick) a hater, a homophobe, a Nazi, a f***ing idiot, a deplorable, a danger, etc. Debate a Democrat at your peril. You will soon find yourself at the end of a diatribe of name-calling which Hillary exhibited when she said she was sick of Trump supporters, whom she had already labeled "deplorable" and then upped the ante calling us "dark, divisive, and dangerous." And that, friends, is how a Democrat thinks you unify the country.
