Ask Your Senators to Defund Planned Parenthood

Pray and then send a message or make a call to your senators asking them to defund Planned Parenthood. You can find their contact information here. Here's what I just sent to my two senators and if I have time, I'll call their legislative aides later:

In view of the horrible and illegal activities taking place in Planned Parenthood facilities why on earth are $528 million+ in taxpayer dollars going to this corporation? Besides, Obamacare makes them totally irrelevant as a "health care" provider. There is no community where Planned Parenthood operates that there isn't a community health care center, hospital system or rural service that can't provide what they do as cheaply or cheaper. I also resent the continued lie that they provide breast cancer screening. They don't -- all they do is refer to other providers. So if I have to go to another center anyway, why should I go to Planned Parenthood at all? As a breast cancer survivor, I urge you to vote to defund Planned Parenthood.

Kathleen Sebelius Shreds Documents to Protect Planned Parenthood and Child Rapists

Liberals talk about how much they care about children (born children, of course), but do they? Under former governor Kathleen Sebelius, Kansas human services protected child rapists who impregnated minors and then took them for abortions to Planned Parenthood (PP). It's long been known that PP, a mandatory reporter, looks the other way and even counsels girls to lie about their ages so they can abort their babies and send the minors back for more sexual abuse by adult men. Sebelius, a faux Catholic, was willing, not only to look the other way as long as PP kept the campaign donations rolling in, but to illegally destroy evidence that implicated her supporters.

It's time for Congress to put a stop the cover up of child rape by PP and their political allies. A good start would be to kick Sebelius out of government. No doubt she can get a job teaching at Trinity.

Looking for the Smoking Gun on Sarah Palin

The media is looking for the smoking gun in the recently released emails of Sarah Palin. There must be some scandal amidst those thousands of messages that will provide the stake-in-the-heart finish to this woman they hate with such passion. Unfortunately, so far the worst they can say is the emails are "banal, hypocritical, and smug." (It's laughable to hear a liberal columnist talking about someone being "hypocritical and smug.")

But the one email that's going viral on the internet is a "letter from God" that Palin wrote to explain to family and friends the special gift of their coming son Trig. I confess tears came to my eyes as I read it and I hope all those considering aborting a Downs Syndrome child will read, reflect, pray, and experience a change of heart. Sarah Palin is a mother, a courageous mother with a heart for God. She's grounded in the most basic truth of all -- God is the giver of life and no one else has the right to take it.

May God bless her and her family. He will not abandon one who acknowledges His lordship over her.

We can expect gnashing of teeth from all the usual suspects accusing Hungary of being a backwater nation of bigots who deny women's "reproductive rights" and the "human right" to buggery. St. Michael the Archangel, protect them!

Kmiec Submits Resignation as Ambassador of Malta

Barack Obama rewarded Douglas Kmiec with the embassy of Malta for betraying the Catholic faith and supporting his radically pro-abortion candidacy. But that's not all Kmiec did. He signed the letter of support by Soros-funded Catholics United for Kathleen Sebelius, an advocate of late-term abortion who had a special relationship with George Tiller...and there are other betrayals as well. Kmiec, sadly, is a Judas. And now he's found out exactly how loyal pro-abortion liars are when the rubber hits the road.

The State Department has trashed Kmiec's reputation because he took Obama's rhetoric about faith-based initiatives seriously and devoted time to working on it. Hillary's minions are giving him the mailed fist and the studded boot treatment -- no doubt Bill could clue him on that.

So Kmiec is resigning -- on the feast of the Blessed Mother no less, August 15th. Perhaps that's his way of trying to atone for his past errors. I hope so, but I wouldn't bet on it. His actions have been absolute head-shakers that show little evidence of the man who used to have a solid pro-life reputation. Well, that's been in shreds since he joined the Obama campaign and now his reputaion as a hard working professional is in shreds as well.

I'm finding it hard to have any sympathy for the man. See my previous posts here and here. In his debate with Robert George at Catholic University, Kmiec came off like a lightweight thinker who was willing to sell the weak and helpless down the river and distort the truth to accomodate his politcal views. I hope he's learned that he was nothing but a patsy for the Democratic liars. I'll certainly pray for him. But when you've committed the kind of betrayal Kmiec has, you have a long way to go to earn back lost trust. And as far as I'm concerned that's impossible as long as he's still affiliated with faux Catholic groups who thrive on attacking fundamental doctrines.

If you want to let Kmiec speak for himself visit his blog. I'm afraid my gag reflex couldn't cope with some of it as I thought how he has aided and abeted the murder of the unborn. His speech at the Anne Frank exhibition was mind boggling when one considers that the holocaust against babies waiting to be born outstripped the Nazi atrocities in the first few years post Roe v. Wade. Here's what he said:

"Failure to love our neighbor is but a short distance from ignoring our neighbor. And that disregard of our neighbor is but a short distance from silently tolerating political, racial, gender, and other illicit forms of oppression and hate."

What about ripping bodies limb from limb? The closest parallel to what happens to the poor little ones in the womb are the photographs from the Rwanda genocide where people were cut down with machetes. And Kmiec has the gall to say "never again?" Actions speak louder than words, man!

As a mother and grandmother I am enraged at those who call themselves "pro-life" and say they are "devout Catholics" while they treat God's "least ones" as trash for the medical waste bin.

Pray for Doug Kmiec. Resigning on Our Lady's feast day will be just one more empty gesture unless he repents of betraying the little ones whom Jesus called to come to Him. If you want to be close to the Lord, defend the babies waiting to be born, Professor Kmiec. Jesus was one of them for nine months. Those who betray them, betray Him.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg Attacks Pro-Lifers: They Don't Deserve the Protection of the Constitution!

Sen. Frank Lautenberg plays the game that Planned Parenthood is about something besides abortion, their primary business. Then he declares that pro-lifers and tea party activists don't deserve the protections of the Constitution. Yup, murdering babies is protected but those who defend babies "don't deserve" Constitutional rights. This is the voice of "pro-choice" which only respects one choice -- theirs and expects you to pay for it no matter how abhorrent. New Jersey, send this man home the next time he's up for reelection.

Troy Newman of Operation Rescue made the following statement concerning Lautenberg's offensive remarks:

Sen. Lautenberg wishes that he could disenfranchise pro-life supporters, which comprise the majority of the American people, and turn them into second-class citizens based on their deeply held religious and moral convictions. His remarks are unconscionable and offensive, not to mention extremely inappropriate for a United States Senator who has been entrusted with looking to the best interests of the people.

We find Lautenberg's remarks highly hypocritical since his state of New Jersey is home to the notorious illegal late-term abortionist Steven Chase Brigham, who recently had his license to practice medicine suspended after he was caught operating an illegal bi-state late-term abortion racket. Let us not forget that the bodies of 35 late-term babies were discovered at Brigham's illegal abortion clinic and that he remains the subject of a murder investigation. New Jersey is also the home of the Planned Parenthood office where an employee was recently caught on tape aiding and abetting the concealment of sex trafficking.

Perhaps Lautenberg should spend more time actually protecting the public from predatory abortionists in his home state instead of wishing to strip precious Constitutional rights from those who do work to protect women and their innocent babies. While Lautenberg prattles on in support of those who exploit women at tax-payer expense, women and their babies remain at risk in Lautenberg's state from unscrupulous abortion clinics like Brigham's and Planned Parenthood.

It's always interesting to see pro-aborts fighting with each other, but Frances Kissling's statements that late-term abortions are not equivalent to first-trimester abortions may be the early stirrings of her conscience. Kissling has been at the forefront of the abortion movement for years. Pray for her conversion and return to her Catholic faith.

I was shocked to see that Ohio Right to Life is not supporting this bill. Too many pro-life groups worry too much about what the courts will do when it comes to doing the right thing. Whatever the courts do, the truth is still the truth. And if the Supreme Court rules that a baby with a heartbeat is so much trash, it will be one more testimony that the courts are morally bankrupt. The Dread Scott decision didn't hinder the movement to end slavery; it fueled it. Do the right thing, Ohio. Pray the bill passes and is upheld!

Mubarak's Out, But What's Next?

I've been watching the uprising in Egypt with concern. I love living in a Constitutional Republic where the people, at least in theory, run the show through our elected representatives. Our form of government certainly isn't perfect and some are more equal than others (the inhabitants of Capitol Hill for example), and some are not equal at all (pre-born babies). But at least we can speak up and fight for what we believe without being sent to the gulag or dragged off in the middle of the night for interrogation by the secret police and possible assassination.

Well, the dictator Mubarak has resigned and the military is now in control and there is massive rejoicing. This morning, as I read the reports, however, I immediately thought of the parable of the swept house in Luke's gospel. The devil is expelled. He goes roaming around the world looking for new habitation only to come back with seven devils more evil than himself to reenter the "swept and tidy" house. The result, Luke tells us, is that "the last state of the man is worse than the first." (Luke 11: 25-26) Will this be Egypt's future?

The Call for a New Constitutional Convention -- Don't Say no, say HELL NO!

I'm getting increasing numbers of e-mails from folks I consider sensible promoting the call for a Constitutional Convention. Obviously these well-meaning individuals don't understand what it means. There is nothing in the Constitution that controls what a new Convention could do to our Founding Document. There are absolutely NO RESTRICTIONS on what the delegates can propose and the amendments they can approve.

Does anyone really think that our current flock of politicians on both sides of the aisle, not to mention our pernicious president with his billionaire buddies like George Soros, can do a better job at rewriting our founding documents than men like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, George Mason, and the other giants of history? Consider a new Constitution that incorporates the long-dead Equal Rights Amendment or a gay rights amendment or a gun (and smoking) ban. No, a Constitutional Convention is a REALLY BAD IDEA. There is no controlling what it can do!

Pass this on and don't jump on the bandwagon when you don't know the tune they're playing. You may find yourself in the middle of a hard rock drug fest with the descendants of Woodstock.

Heartbeat Bill in Ohio

Sometimes a state initiative is so important that every pro-lifer in the country ought to get behind it.

The personhood bills are the most important because they declare the little one in the womb persons with rights from the first moment of existence. Every state needs to introduce and work toward passage of these bills.

In the second tier of importance are bills like the heartbeat initiative in Ohio which protects the life of all babies whose hearts are beating. Will it save all babies? No! And it isn't enough. But it sends a clear message that a person with a beating heart has the right to life. And when you consider that the baby's heart begins beating at 21 days gestation, this is a giant step forward to defend many little ones in the womb. It would also put late-term Ohio butcher, Martin Haskell, out of business. Haskell is credited with popularizing the gruesome partial birth abortion method. Cutting off his diabolical business would be a blessing to everyone on the planet.

Sending heart balloons to the state legislature is a powerful visual message as well. I'm sending some and I invite you to join in the effort to fill up the Ohio capitol with these signs of life. Just imagine the halls of the state legislature as deliveries go to many offices throughout the capitol building.

Today, first Friday, when we reflect on the Sacred Heart of Jesus and pray in atonement for all the sins against His love is the perfect day to take action to defend His little ones. Attach prayers of reparation for the murder of His precious babies. Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto Thine. Go here for more information and to send your own balloons.

Make No Mistake, Republican Betrayal Gave Us Open Gays in the Military: Boot Scott Brown in 2013

The success of the gay agenda in homosexualizing the military falls squarely in the lap of Judas Republicans who voted for cloture. The vote was 63-60 Saturday morning with SIX Republicans, including the great Massachusetts hope Scott Brown, voting to end the discussion and let the vote take place! (Now you know why I was less than enthusiastic about supporting Scott Brown.)

The six Judases were Scott Brown, Susan Collins, Mark Kirk, Lisa Murkowski, Olympia Snowe, and George Voinovich. Had they supported the platform position the cloture vote would have failed. Sometimes the procedural vote is what matters most. Once they cleared the way for a full Senate vote, it was a foregone conclusion even if all the Republicans voted against it. In fact, sometimes that's the game. Vote wrong when it counts and right when it doesn't. It gives you a claim that you voted the "right" way to fool the folks back home. Although in this case, the six Judases held fast and were joined by two others in the final vote.

I wonder if Obama will give the famous bill-signing pens to the six Republicans who betrayed us. Scott Brown certainly earned one. And voters should make sure they remember that in 2013 by putting up a real Republican and getting this guy out before he entrenches. "Boot Brown!" has a nice ring to it.

Blogger Kathleen Reeves Needs a Reality Check

Kathleen Reeves who blogs at "Reality Check" needs one. In a post describing the election of Archbishop Timothy Dolan to head the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) she accused me of "a smear" for my article on Bishop Gerald Kicanas. What offended her? I described the bishop as a "homosexualist," which he is without a doubt. Do your homework! If he were not, he hardly would have received the ringing endorsement of the "rainbow sash" movement who included a comment that they hoped he would "grow" on the same-sex marriage issue, something they obviously think is a possibility despite it flying in the face of Catholic teaching.

Reeves says Kicanas' defeat showed the bishops caved in to the "far right" in the Church and blasts the tea party and "political movements that preach fear, exclusion, and bigotry." Obviously, she does not consider herself a member of one of those "political movements." Only those who disagree with her fit the description. She obviously sees herself as the non-political, independent voice of "reality" and reason. Uh...yeah.

But here's a "reality check" for Kathleen. First of all, her understanding of the Church is seriously deficient. Anyone using the terms "liberal" and "conservative" when referring to the Catholic faith adopts political language that reflects a political agenda. The Church is a family of faith and the job of the bishops as shepherds is to teach, govern, and sanctify, not according to their own personal beliefs, but according to the doctrine laid down by Jesus Christ through the apostles. Embracing the creed isn't conservatism; it's orthodoxy. And, yes, there are bad bishops and priests who undermine the faith. Every heresy in the Church that I can think of began with a man in a Roman collar.

But those who defend the faith from heresy today are smeared as "exclusionary bigots."

Pro-Life Advocates Control the House

The biggest winners in the election were unborn children. With the most pro-life Congress in decades there is hope that taxpayer-funded abortion will be eliminated and real strides can be made in all areas to protect babies in the womb. Congressman Chris Smith introduced the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act last July and with the new house composition, passage is likely. Of course getting it passed in the Senate is less likely and a veto probable. More than ever it's time to redouble our prayer and sacrifice and channel it into efforts to protect the weak and vulnerable. Check out the sources below for more.

Obama and the Lord of the Flies!

World Net Daily (WND) posted the AP photo on the right with the caption, Lord of the Flies? For those who recall the book of the same name, it tells about a group of English schoolboys marooned on an island after a shipwreck. As the boys attempt to establish a kind of government things break down and the students form into two groups battling each other. Their behavior becomes more and more confrontational and violent and, if memory serves, at least one boy is killed.

It's a sad story, as well as a cynical one positing that the natural state of mankind is war. The boy leader of one of the groups is admirable, but unable to prevent the collapse into savagery. The Lord of the Flies, Satan himself, seems to rule on the island arousing jealousy, animosity, and hatred amongst the boys. When they are finally rescued by the British navy, the adults are shocked and disgusted at what they find. There's irony there too, however, since England has been at war for most of her history.

But back to the photo...I think WND hit the mark with their title. Obama's entire strategy since ascending to the presidency has been to foster division, conflict, and class hatred. It's a strategy consistent with Alinsky community organizing. Fostering conflict is what allows those who want power to acquire it.

That the fly landed on Obama's lip is an apt metaphor. Satan is often called "the father of lies." And Obama's lies are legion. He is attacking the country from within. He uses every crisis and even manufactures them in order to consolidate the power of the central government.

The Lord of the flies?...The father of lies?...Take your pick. Obama is equally deserving of either. Jesus said you can know a man by his fruits. Obama's are the advancement of abortion and the homosexual agenda. That's two of the four sins that cry to heaven for vengeance: murder of the innocent and sodomy. It's a good job if you look at it from the Lord of the flies' perspective.

Woody Allen Wants Obama Dictatorship!

Woody Allen wants Obama named dictator for few years so he can get things done without all those nasty Republicans getting in the way and fouling up his plans. Allen has never let any pesky things, like morality, get in the way of his plans. He engaged in a sexual relationshiop with his teenage adopted daughter whom he later "married" and Mia Farrow said he molested their 7-year-old adopted daughter, Dylan, as well. What a man! Have you ever heard anyone in Hollywood criticize the actions of this child molester?

Funny thing. The liberal left who are so incensed over the molestation of children never publish a word against their own abusers -- like Woody Allen and Roman Polanski who raped a 13-year-old. Polanski has been thanking his supporters, no doubt many from the Hollywood elite.

But the old guys better start thinking about the four last things: death, judgment, heaven, and hell, because the grim reaper can't be very far from their doors. And I doubt if they'll be able to serve any terms under house arrest at their posh estates.
