There's a saying about the missions -- "Some give by going and some go by giving." I thought about that when I read Fletcher's email below. In the early days of the formation of the East Coast Center for Bioethical Reform (CBR), Fletcher stopped by to visit us on his way through Woodstock. We've been supporters ever since. 

CBR doesn't flinch. They go out on the front lines at colleges and universities and speak the truth about the value of human life. We've been supporting Maggie Egger, one of their staff members, for several years with a monthly donation and recently doubled it because we respect the work CBR does so much. 

They save babies. Wherever they go the number of calls and visits to local pregnancy help centers go way up. They engage with students who are open to the truth and, after a short conversation, say, "I was pro-choice, but now I'm pro-life." The truth changes hearts. Will you help CBR? In my opinion they are doing one of the most important pro-life works in the U.S. How many college coeds get pregnant and think abortion is their only option? CBR shatters that myth and offers real, compassionate help. They are an important facet of the culture of life diamond.

Did you ever participate in a rescue at an abortion mill or a Face the Truth Tour showing the public
what abortion really is? Have you ever prayed the rosary in front of an abortion mill during 40 Days for Life or helped to save a baby through sidewalk counseling or working at a pregnancy help center? Many people are thoroughly pro-life, but can't be involved in direct action. Many wish they could do more.

I want to introduce you to my friend, Maggie Egger. She's a second generation sidewalk soldier. I rescued babies at abortion mills many times with her Dad during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Pro-life activism saves lives. As for Maggie -- the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

You can post your business's banner or flag. You can post your charity's logo. But the Harrisonburg government discriminated against the pro-life content of Valley Church of Christ's picture of hands holding a precious baby with Mother Teresa's quote: "It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”

Well, it's also a poverty that little Boss Hogs think they can trample the Constitution because they don't like certain messages. It's kind of ironic because this area is conservative. Ah, but that doesn't stop the Christian bashers.

If I were the pastor of that church I would be inclined to hold a GAP (Genocide Awareness Project) display on the property. Now wouldn't that make the little despots in Harrisonburg upset?

Mark Crutcher of Life Dynamics has always said one of the best ways to end abortion is to limit access. So this is good news indeed. As the Our Father says, "Lead us not into temptation." Many women will not choose abortion if the temptation is not available. Legalization gives a veneer of respectability to an unthinkable horror. So let's make that horror unthinkable in the minds of our neighbors. Raise a new year's toast to these heroic warriors:
