One More Christian Baker Gets Burned by the Courts

Court rules...

His religious values form his conscience and he doesn't want to cooperate in a same-sex wedding. But bakers aren't allowed to have consciences except, no doubt, if it comes to making a cake with a confederate flag or with an image of a southern belle in a hoop skirt.

If anyone doubts that we live in an X-rated loony land these rulings illustrate it in spades. They also make it clear that big-time persecution is on the way. If homosexuals have a right to force a baker to make them a wedding cake, how much more do they have the right to force ministers to provide the wedding! "After all," say Adam and Steve, "We're Catholics and we have the right to be treated just like every other Catholic couple. It's a matter of civil rights. Fr. Orthodox is just showing his discrimination against us. It's time, like Hillary Clinton says, to force churches to change their views on abortion -- even more so on the rights of couples like us to celebrate our lust love before God."

Yup, all those backwards Christians must be forced into the new world order where sodomy is equal to marriage and abortion and contraception are sacraments. Human sacrifice, literal for the babies and figurative for bakers et al, are new world laws. Sieg Heil to the empire!

To Think This Violation of Religious Liberty Happened in My Own Back Yard!

Protestant Church Faces Criminal Charges for Its Pro-life Signs

You can post your business's banner or flag. You can post your charity's logo. But the Harrisonburg government discriminated against the pro-life content of Valley Church of Christ's picture of hands holding a precious baby with Mother Teresa's quote: "It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”

Well, it's also a poverty that little Boss Hogs think they can trample the Constitution because they don't like certain messages. It's kind of ironic because this area is conservative. Ah, but that doesn't stop the Christian bashers.

If I were the pastor of that church I would be inclined to hold a GAP (Genocide Awareness Project) display on the property. Now wouldn't that make the little despots in Harrisonburg upset?

Put These Holy Women on Your Christmas List and Those Who Defend Them!

The Little Sisters of the Poor are saintly women who serve the elderly treating them with grace and dignity. My mom volunteered for years at one of their homes near Baltimore. When I visited with her  occasionally, I was impressed with the atmosphere of peace that pervaded the home and the cheerfulness of the residents. What a wonderful organization to support this Christmas! We are! Visit their website here.

The Becket Fund is defending this wonderful order of sisters. Please visit their website and help them help these wonderful women. I'm sending them a Christmas card with a thank you note and a donation.

And please pray for the conversion of our nation. Nothing illustrates the evil of the current administration like their persecution of the Little Sisters of the Poor and other religious organizations! Obama's contempt for the First Amendment is despicable and his hatred for people of faith (except Muslims) is palpable. Pray for him and his cronies. They really are the nightmare before Christmas.

Stand Up for Religious Freedom - Join the Rally

On Friday, March 23 rallies opposing Obama's HHS mandate will take place in over a hundred cities around the country. The rallies are scheduled for only one hour from noon to 1:00 p.m. Go here for the locations and stand up for religious freedom. Our country needs a religious revival. Bring your rosaries and beg for the Blessed Mother's intercession for this important event. Remember the people of Nineveh who put on sackcloth and ashes and repented. Lent is a time to repent and reform our lives. Come in penance and beg God's help for our poor country so immersed in sin and suffering.

Psst! Want to buy a historic covered bridge -- cheap?

Religious freedom is guaranteed under the first amendment of the Constitution, right? Do you think that matters to those who have a secular liberal agenda? Take a look at the Belmont Abbey College case. The college developed a health plan that removes coverage for abortion, sterilization, and contraception. Eight faculty members filed a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Insurance saying that the school was violating state law and didn't qualify for a religious exemption. Their case was dismissed. Then, with the support of the National Women's Law Center, they went to the local EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) in Charlotte, NC claiming "gender discrimination." The case was dismissed there as well.

Funny thing, though. Two months later the school received another letter reversing the decision. According to college president, Dr. William Theirfelder, "My understanding is it went to Washington, and that it was in Washington where this was decided, not the Charlotte office."

So a Catholic college MUST provide health coverage for immoral procedures condemned by Catholic doctrine.

Watch developments in this story. It throws light on the treatment Catholics can expect for not only Catholic schools, but every Catholic organization in the country that has employees. If you think Obama health care will respect the religious liberty of Catholic health workers and Catholic facilities, I have a nice historical covered bridge outside Woodstock that I'd be glad to sell you. All reasonable offers considered.
