The Death Treatment
Ah, these heroic doctors helping the sad and depressed to kill themselves. You can almost see them salivating at the thought they can kill one more patient without ever talking to family members. How they honor the wishes and the autonomy of their patients. Give me a break!
How can anybody read an article like this and think we can have a "reasonable hope" that all will be saved. Universal salvation is patently wishful thinking in the face of diabolical evil like this.

I Agree with Mike Voris: It's Irrational...
...to believe that it is reasonable that all men will be saved. Evil is a reality. Diabolical evil is on the increase. And, like the banal little clerk Adolf Eichmann, its perpetrators are often clerkish little men and women who resemble demons about as much as a china teacup full of strychnine looks like a murder weapon. Sometimes the devil wears granny glasses and holds a pen to check off the list of those targeted for extermination. Sometimes he wears a lab coat and marks its sleeve to keep a body count like Wild West gunslingers notched their guns to tabulate their kill count. No, hell is filled with damned souls like the ones the three children of Fatima saw falling into the fire like snowflakes. Let us pray for their repentance and salvation, but never fail to recognize exactly how many hardened souls will inevitably turn their backs on the God who loves them. If no one is in any real danger of hell (because God is so nice He would never send anyone there), why in the name of all that's holy should we have any kind of zeal to pray and sacrifice for sinners?

All Souls Day: Visit a Cemetery and Pray for the Dead
Larry and I always visit cemeteries on All Souls Day and pray for the dead. Today we said our rosary at four different cemeteries in Woodstock, dedicating each decade to a deceased group: to our parents, our grandparents, our aunts and uncles and their families, our siblings/in-laws and cousins and their families, and our friends and all those who have touched our lives and their families. We also prayed for all the souls of the people buried in the cemeteries which included some Civil War vets. One headstone commemorated a veteran of the Stonewall Brigade who survived that horrible war. So many didn't and we prayed for them as well. We wondered how many born before the war lived through the terrible days of "The Burning."
I find it sobering and instructive to visit cemeteries. One memorial plaque was dedicated to all our veterans. It said, "As you are, I once was. As I am, you will be." and sooner than you know. One thing you realize reading the dates on gravestones is how short this life is. What a tragedy to trade a few moments of sinful pleasure for an eternity in hell.
