Federal Judge Orders MAP Restrictions Lifted

A federal judge has ordered all restrictions for the morning after pill be lifted, specifically the requirement for girls 16 and under to need a prescription to obtain the drug. Judge Edward Korman's ruling (eastern district of New York federal court) would make the drug available to all ages, no limits.

Wow! Just think: an adult having sex with a 12-year-old girl child can buy the drug and give it to his little plaything to make sure he's off the hook and can keep his statutory rape their little secret. A 13-year-old girl having sex with her same age boyfriend can just pop the pill like candy after every sex act. Hey, the school nurse can keep a supply in her office for any student who thinks she might need it. The nurse can even hold classroom sessions with the kids letting them know she has it and will provide it no questions asked (to both boys and girls), no pesky sermons. As for parents...well, they don't have the need to know even though if the girl has a bad reaction and ends up in the emergency room they'll be responsible to sign the consent form for her treatment. And if their daughter keeps her little secret from medical staff and dies from an undiagnosed ectopic pregnancy or some other complication, oh well.

No matter that these drugs are strong artificial hormones (and dangerous) with links to breast cancer and worse. Judge Korman won't have to deal with the health tragedies. This is our free sex, anything goes culture, a culture that hates babies in the womb, infants who survive abortion, minor girls being sexually used by older men, stupid college coeds who think their promiscuity is freedom, etc.

This is what the culture of death looks like:

  • a cathouse where physical well-being is irrelevant when perverse pleasures are concerned;
  • a madhouse where, blinded by sin, even atrocities like infanticide are overlooked if necessary to protect perverse pleasures;
  • a hell on earth where real life consequences eventually strip away the facade of freedom and reveal evil for the slavery it is with consequent guild.
Pray for Judge Korman. Some day he will face the real judge and answer for every girl raped and drugged and all of those who succumb to drug-induced cancers. (Not to mention the environmental harm from releasing all these sex hormones into the water supply.) May God have more mercy on Judge Korman than he has for the little minor girls who will be exploited as a result of his ruling.

To Cure Injustice, One Must Expose It!

Do you support age discrimination? No? What will you do about it? Join the freedom rides or lead a group on your campus. Speak for those who cannot speak for themselves! Americans must see abortion to recognize the injustice. Young people want to do something "real and important." Here it is!

I'm with Fr. Trigilio: Man Up, Cardinal Mahony

...and back off the Benny Bashing!

Cardinal Mahony may be called a prince of the Church, but he has no class. He's bad mannered, childish, and has committed horrors against the Church. So where does he get off with his criticism of Pope Benedict? Not to mention that one never noticed that the prince of L.A.  lived the simple life of an ascetic monk. I wish he would just be quiet. He adds nothing to the conversation but inanities and whining.

As for the trappings of the Church, their beauty is available to all -- not just the rich and the high and mighty. When all the churches are reduced to 1960s style cinder block monstrosities and all the vestments are ponchos and all the stained glass windows look like glass paintings from Hobby Lobby who loses the most? The rich with their personal art collections and fancy homes furnished by designers - or the poor? I know how I feel as a Catholic when I visit a magnificent cathedral and I know how I feel when I visit one of the drive-in looking churches like the one built by Mahony in L.A. Give the poor something magnificent in both their churches and the liturgy. Why should the rectory be fancier than the church?.

And please, Cardinal Mahony, close down your girly blog and cancel your snide Twitter account! You're embarrassing yourself!

Coalition of Black Pastors Defends Traditional Marriage in Illinois...

....think it will be covered by the mainstream media? Uh...the dog ate their notes? Hahahahahahahahahaha.....

Some excerpts:
"Marriage is more than friendship and marriage is more than sexual attraction."
Bishop Joseph Perry, Archdiocese of Chicago
The cross cultureal, cross faith coalion was established "for the purpose of lifting up the truths of the Bible which states that marriage is between a man and a woman.... And we want to make sure that we send a message that we can ill afford to put the agenda of some and the few in the name of civil rights ahead of the civil rights of our children." He goes on to point out that the issue isn't about marriage, but about money being poured into the move to redefine marriage. Wow!                           Bishop Lance Davis, New Zion Christian Fellowship of Dolton
"We're here today because we believe the foundation of the family has been attempted to be destroyed and if we can do anything about it here in Illinois, we're standing together to do it.... We want it on record so that our children and children's children know that in our lifetime we stood for that which is right."
Bishop Larry Trotter, Sweet Holy Church, Chicago
"We're not giving special rights to the alcoholic; we're not giving special rights to the fornicator; we're not giving special rights to the liar; and today we're taking a stand to say we will not give special rights to those who want to marry in this situation....Let's get back to what God is saying."                           Bishop Tyrone Harrington, Greater Morning View Baptist Church
"We are not anti anyone.... In our churches we have homosexuals and lesbians and we love them all...but as far as the Bible is concerned, we stand on the word of God....If you reject this you're not rejecting us. We don't lose; you're rejecting God and God is, as much as he is a loving God, He is also a righteous God. As much as He is a God of grace and mercy, He is also a God of truth and justice. And when you deal with Him, you're going to have to deal with Him."                              Pastor Kenneth Giles, Second Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church
This impressive group puts to the lie the pretense that giving special rights to homosexuals is a matter of "civil rights." There is no protected civil right to sodomy. There is no protected civil right to do whatever you want whenever you want with whomever or whatever you want. Sinful inclinations are not protected civil rights and redefining institutions to give certain sins a special place in the culture is madness, pure and simple. It confirms what the Greek playwright Euripides said, "Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad." Satan and his minions are the "gods" of this world and they have done a pretty effective job of making the world mad. There destruction is assured if they don't repent. Those of us who still recognize the truth need to stay close to the cross of Christ and speak the truth to the culture with charity in the hope that at least some will listen. Many will hate us for it, but no matter. To be loved by Christ is worth all the persecution of which the world is capable!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Our Lady, help of Christians, pray for us. St. Joseph, patron of the universal Church, pray for us. Dear guardian angels and patron saints, pray for us.

Is North Korea Rattle-Sabering or are their Nuclear Threats Real?

Read about it here. North Korea has moved a missile to its east coast, one that puts some of our pacific bases (North Korea specifically mentioned Guam.) within range, although it could not reach the U.S. mainland....yet. Check out the U.S. response here. I don't remember this kind of war talk since I was a kid and we practiced air raid drills in the classroom and the high alert status during the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

Remember what Mother Teresa said about abortion? That its fruit is nuclear war? Don't keep a worry stone in your pocket. Keep your rosary there with your fingers constantly fingering the beads. What nation on earth deserves annihilation more than ours? We murder millions of babies every year and export our murder all over the globe. Why have people of good will not been able to put a stop to the atrocities here? I can only beat my own breast and remember the words of Pope St. Pius V, "All the evil in the world is due to lukewarm Catholics." Repent, pray, fast, and work...in that order.

This Global "Warming" is Messing with our Bee Plans!

What a spring! We're waiting to get two honeybee nucleus colonies, but it's been too cold and windy for the bees to fly and if they can't fly the queen can't lay because there's no food and pollen to feed the new brood. First our local supplier said he would have our colonies in late March. Then he shrugged and said April. Now he says he won't have any before May. Good grief, is it time to move south? The problem is that if the bees can't get well established before July or thereabouts, they can't make it through the winter.

So give us a little of that famous "global warming." It's cold again today and if it's as windy as the past few days, the bees won't be flying... again. But, I forgot, it's not "global warming" anymore since we haven't had any of that for the past twenty years or so. Now it's "climate change" so the doomsayers can get exciting and wring their hands no matter what happens to the weather. After all, you only get grant money when the sky is falling. As for the honeybees....they'd appreciate a little global warming about now. Me too!

Planned Parenthood: It's Not Just about Babies in the Womb any More

Planned Parenthood position: If babies are born alive after abortion, leave it up to the doctor (who just tried to kill the baby) and the patient (who hired him to kill) to decide whether the baby gets to live. Now we all know how Kermit Gosnell handled this "problem." He got a scissors and snipped the baby's spine sometimes joking that the baby was almost big enough to walk away. Note how Planned Parenthood's rep danced around every question never giving a straight answer. She couldn't even say a baby on the table, moving and breathing should be given medical care and be transported to a hospital. Obviously Planned Parenthood wants the result to be what the woman and doctor planned at the beginning -- a dead baby. No babies should be allowed to survive abortion! Period. They are non-persons even outside the womb - i.e., as newborns. So if that living, kicking newborn baby on the table doesn't have a right to life, exactly when does a baby merit legal protection?

One last question...is it any wonder mothers are committing infanticide? After all, that baby is their property -- didn't Planned Parenthood say so? And the "health care provider" (killing is health care?) is only there to carry out the mom's wishes. So if there's no health care provider around, why exactly can't the mom finish the job without one. After all, the baby is only two (seconds, minutes, hours, days, months) old and even if she wanted the baby at first isn't it a woman's prerogative to change her mind?

Now you would think the media would cover this story wouldn't you? Hey, the biggest abortion supporter in the country opposing legislation to care for a living, breathing newborn sounds like news to me. But the only ones covering the story are pro-life sources and conservative media. A critical article about media bias at Red State was posted on the Washington Post blog,  (I suppose that's supposed to prove they aren't biased, eh?) but where are the articles? Where's the commentary opposing or defending Planned Parenthood?  There isn't any in the mainstream media that I could find, but we all know where they stand. Silence in the law indicates consent. The media carries water for PP. They always have and apparently there is no PP atrocity with which they won't cooperate. In this case they are covering for PP's appalling position by whistling past the graveyard -- literally. Just kill them like Kermit Gosnell or throw them in the coffin alive and bury them quick.

U.N. Considers Banning Abortion "Torture"

Yup, that's what their expert on torture says. First they called murdering babies in the womb "choice." Now those who try to stop it are guilty of "torture."

The only thing being tortured here is language, but verbal engineering is what tyrants always do so they can put a nice gloss on their evil deeds disguising them behind high-sounding words. Read 1984 - they called it "newspeak."

Bee Collapse....Can We Thank Monsanto?

Colony Collapse Disorder is a growing problem. Is it possible that as the use of genetically modified plants loaded with systemic pesticide and herbicide chemicals is part of the reason?

Soaring Bee Deaths in 2012

It's no joke. While honeybees are not the only pollinators, some crops depend almost entirely upon the busy little honeybees, the almond crop in California, for example. They generally import more than a million beehives every year. Here's a bit from the article:
A coalition of beekeepers and environmental and consumer groups sued the E.P.A. last week, saying it exceeded its authority by conditionally approving some neonicotinoids. The agency has begun an accelerated review of their impact on bees and other wildlife.
The European Union has proposed to ban their use on crops frequented by bees. Some researchers have concluded that neonicotinoids caused extensive die-offs in Germany and France.
Neonicotinoids are hardly the beekeepers’ only concern. Herbicide use has grown as farmers have adopted crop varieties, from corn to sunflowers, that are genetically modified to survive spraying with weedkillers. Experts say some fungicides have been laced with regulators that keep insects from maturing, a problem some beekeepers have reported.
Eric Mussen, an apiculturist at the University of California, Davis, said analysts had documented about 150 chemical residues in pollen and wax gathered from beehives.
“Where do you start?” Dr. Mussen said. “When you have all these chemicals at a sublethal level, how do they react with each other? What are the consequences?”
Experts say nobody knows. But Mr. Adee, who said he had long scorned environmentalists’ hand-wringing about such issues, said he was starting to wonder whether they had a point.
