Kyle Rittenhouse found not guilty on all counts in Kenosha trial

Pay Attention to the Media Hypocrisy on the Two Marches

Every year the March for Life is under-reported, the numbers are minimized, and the fact that the marches are happening all over the country is ignored. I remember years when the media totally ignored the March with not five seconds on the evening news and with photos deliberately designed to deceive. They would take a close up of the March showing a few hundred out of the hundreds of thousands of participants and then show a photo of the handful of counter-protesters at the Supreme Court with the caption, "a smaller crowd protesting the March...." giving a pictorial idea that the two groups were almost equal. It was incredibly blatant and shameful! And the tiger hasn't changed his stripes.

Take a look at the photo below showing the 8-year-old killed in the blast standing with his mother and sister who were also seriously injured in the blast. Dzhokar dropped his backpack next to little Martin and his family. Was that an accident or did this "all American kid" choose that spot deliberately where there were lots of youngsters? Why is the media showing photos of him when he was 14? Dzhokar will get his day in court. Little Martin got capital punishment terrorist style.

That’s not so much a conscious decision as a reflex, but the effect is one-sided coverage."

Let's hope the mainstream media with egg on their faces decides to cover this on-going gruesome story. They can claim they aren't biased, but we all know where the media stands on "reproductive rights" and on "gay marriage." Either they are so blinded by their bias they actually don't see it or they are so committed to pushing their agenda they don't care. Thank God for alternative media. At least it prevents a total blackout -- U.S. Pravda style.

The media normally loves a good gruesome story about a serial killer. Have a sniper running around shooting folks at random gas stations and their rubbing their hands in glee over a juicy story. Even better, a cannibalistic serial killer with pieces of human anatomy in the fridge. So the Kermit Gosnell trial should be right up their alley. And it would be if he were killing toddlers or teenagers. But his victims are the ones the media supports killilng -- babies in the womb. So they wouldn't want to show his gruesome serial killings - snipping babies' spinal cords. No, the media likes Gosnell just fine and they illustrate their support for his heinous acts by their silence. Now I wonder what they would be saying if the spinal cords he was snipping were attached to the heads of liberal reporters. Watcha think?

This impressive group puts to the lie the pretense that giving special rights to homosexuals is a matter of "civil rights." There is no protected civil right to sodomy. There is no protected civil right to do whatever you want whenever you want with whomever or whatever you want. Sinful inclinations are not protected civil rights and redefining institutions to give certain sins a special place in the culture is madness, pure and simple. It confirms what the Greek playwright Euripides said, "Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad." Satan and his minions are the "gods" of this world and they have done a pretty effective job of making the world mad. There destruction is assured if they don't repent. Those of us who still recognize the truth need to stay close to the cross of Christ and speak the truth to the culture with charity in the hope that at least some will listen. Wouldn't want the truth to get out that there are actually tens of thousands of pro-life/pro-family folks in the area. But not in the city. Families have been fleeing for years making San Francisco a virtual child-free zone. At the same time domestic violence is way up. Sounds like a city without much of a future.

Hypocrisy and the Homosexual Agenda

The recent suicide of a homosexual student at Rutgers after a sex act was posted on line is tragic. All suicides are tragic. But what's irresponsible is the way gay activists are politicizing this to promote their agenda. All Christians (and the "far right"), they claim, are guilty of killing the young man by our words. I don't know a single person who justifies the students posting the sex video on line. But gay activists have made the event a jumping off point to engage in another round of "jamming," the term used to describe demonizing all who criticize immoral homosexual acts by accusing them of intolerance, homophobia, hate speech, and on, and on. The treatment of this particular suicide, which is certainly sad, is much different from the treatment of young women who commit suicide after abortion. A 13 year study in Finland of all deaths in THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF WOMEN, age 15 to 49, found a statistically significant increase in suicide the year after abortion. Women who gave birth had the lowest death rate. Have you heard the media talk about that? Have you heard them blame the pro-choice crowd and the abortionists for killing women with their lies? Not a chance! Because, like sodomy, abortion is a protected act and the liberal media supporting their pro-choice cronies will do all in their power to make sure abortion continues and expands.

Homosexuals may, in fact, be more at risk of suicide with or without provocation. According to a paper by Dr. Neil Whitehead, homosexuals have "higher rates of suicide, depression, bulimia, antisocial personality disorder, and substance abuse." But the gay movement wouldn't want to hear about that, because it indicates that their lifestyle is dangerous to the mental and physical health of those who engage in it.

Well, as a matter of fact, it is. Which is why parents should love their children enough to encourage them to get out of it.

Talk About Hate Speech!

It's an interesting phenomenon that when you speak the hard truth you are likely to be accused of hate speech. But those who actually are filled with hate, for example, against the pope and the Catholic Church, see themselves as champions and protectors of human rights. So homosexuals accuse Christians of hate speech for telling the truth about the disordered nature of same sex relationships and feminists accuse pro-lifers of hating women for trying to protect both women and their unorn babies.

But lately the most exteme hatred and vitriol is reserved for the Catholic Church, specifically Pope Benedict XVI. It's sobering to see it during the Easter season when we hear the Acts of the Apostles read from the pulpit. This week the pharisees, stung to the quick by Stephen's revelation of their malice, drag him out of the holy city of Jerusalem and stone him to death. The apostles are dragged before the Sanhedrin and warned never to mention the name of Jesus again. Acts describes them being flogged and imprisoned. 

The evils that have been committed and covered up by clerics in the Church are horrible. But the over-the-top hateful rhetoric has been selective on the part of the media and reserved for the Catholic Church and the pope. Its scattershot nature indicates that the sex abuse crisis is just the excuse for a concerted effort against the world's greatest enemy of moral relativism and the culture of death. They practically foan at the mouth as they spout their venom.

Here's what an ABC Australia columnist blogged after comparing the pope to Osama bin Laden, "Why not bomb the Vatican, and riddle the Pope with bullets as he staggers out of the flames?"

Christopher Hitchens, an atheist who hates the Church and has attacked Mother Teresa (calling her "a fanatic, a fundamentalist, and a fraud" in a piece titled Mommie Dearest) recently wrote an attack piece on the pope where he says, "Ratzinger himself may be banal, but his whole career has the stench of evil—a clinging and systematic evil that is beyond the power of exorcism to dispel." The letter he mentions in the article is completely misrepresented. And, in fact, Hitchens hatred for the Church oozes out of every critique he writes.

Then there is the on-going attack by the New York Times. Catholics know the "paper of record" is so biased that nothing in its pages can be trusted. The Vatican has protested its slanted reporting, but NYT has a long term history of slandering the Church, pro-lifers, conservatives, Christians, anyone, in fact, who stands in opposition to their liberalism.

Expect the attacks to continue. It's not primarily about the sex abuse crisis, but about the mainstream media's hatred and contemp for people of faith. Their bias is one of the reasons mainstream media outlets are laying off workers and closing offices in major cities. In the meantime they can still do a lot of damage to the reputations of anyone connected to the Church no matter how unfounded their assault.
