Meet the Real Margaret Sanger

Margaret Sanger Desanitized

This is an excellent article by Donald DeMarco on the woman who birthed the abortion holocaust.  I suspect her drug addiction to a near comatose state in the last years of her life was an attempt to cover up a guilt-ridden conscience. Happy people don't need alcohol and drugs to get through the day.  Her life reminds me of Christopher Marlowe's play, The Tragic History of the Life and Death of Dr. Faustus. Faust sells his soul to the devil for a very poor return and, after resisting opportunities for salvation, is carted off to hell in the end. Pray that this sad, selfish, murderous woman repented before she died and avoided the same fate.

There's a saying that virtue is its own reward. One could just as easily say sin is its own punishment. The history of the life and death of Margaret Sanger, who had so many talents and could have done such great things is, like Dr. Faustus, a tragedy.

A Modest Proposal for the March for Life: Move it to the Right Anniversary!

As tens of thousands prepare to participate in the annual March for Life with a record-breaking snowstorm predicted for the area, I can't help thinking we keep shooting at the wrong target. Yes, Roe v. Wade was an atrocity, but it was only the bitter fruit of an ugly seed -- Griswold v. Connecticut.

An astute friend of mine said years ago that we were never meant to march in the dead of winter on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, January 22nd; that, instead, we should be marching on the anniversary of Griswold v. Connecticut, June 7th (1965). Why that decision? Because Griswold enshrined the "right to privacy," removed restrictions on the sale of birth control to married couples, and set in motion acceptance of abortion on demand as a personal right, as well as sowing the seeds for death on demand by euthanasia.

No Ed Gillespie Sign in Our Yard!

After the Virginia Republican state convention in Roanoke, we were considering active support for Ed Gillespie. He wasn't our candidate, but he gave a gracious acceptance speech and promoted "unity." Well, that was then. The other night during his debate with Mark Warner he came out for chemical birth control being sold without prescription. So much for courting unity with "social conservatives." And it was totally unnecessary, pure political expediency. He also back-pedaled as fast as he could when Warner's accused him of supporting the personhood amendment. Oh no, that's only in the Republican Platform. (Hmmm....at the convention there was all kind of rhetoric about supporting "our" platform.) But Gillespie insisted he never supported it and defied Warner to prove he did.

Oh, I know what he was doing all right -- trying to defuse the Democrats' "war on women" rhetoric. One problem: hormonal birth control IS a war on women -- chemical warfare. It's a group one carcinogen KNOWN to cause cancer. Making it more easily available without medical supervision is nuts! And abortion, which the personhood amendment addresses, is a war on little unborn women as well as little unborn men.

But hey, it's all about getting elected and if you have to deep-six your Catholic faith in the process, no problemo. Jack Kennedy and Mario Cuomo illustrated how it's done.

Sooo...no sign for Gillespie in our yard. Heck, I may have to wash my hair on election day. Why work to trade a hot Democrat for lukewarm Democrat-lite? Can a man who puts his politics above God's law really be trusted with man's? Darn, I wish Shak Hill were our candidate!

"I know your deeds; I know you are neither hot nor cold. How I wish you were one or the other -- hot or cold! But because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spew you out of my mouth!" Rev. 3:15-16

Contraceptives: The Real War on Women!

US athlete says she missed shot at Olympics because of blood clots from contraceptive device

Chemical contraceptives are poison. If you are using them, I beg you to read the insert that comes with the package AND TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! Too bad Olympic hopeful Megan Henry didn't. Why should a healthy woman have to take a strong drug every day to "control" a normal bodily process? Contraceptive chemicals treat a woman like she's defective because of her fertility which is treated like a disease. Many women find out the hard way that contraceptive chemicals injure and even kill. Want to see some women who died from their chemical birth control method? Go here

Rikki Lake is doing a documentary on the pill and its dangers. Good for her. Read the article at LifeSiteNews and consider the million and billion dollar payouts from big pharma to the women damaged by these methods. (Remember the Dalkon Shield?) Hey, they make so much money they can afford to pay off a class action suit occasionally. Birth control chemicals are among the most lucrative drugs on the market. They illustrate the biblical admonition that "love of money is the root of all evils."

It's time to expose the real war on women.

Natural Family Planning is Good News for Women!

My husband and I taught NFP at Providence Hospital in Washiington, D.C. for about fifteen years. We met many couples who were having fertility problems and were looking for help to achieve a pregnancy. We were thrilled when they did. One client told me the fertility specialist asked her where she "learned to chart like that." Another couple who came to our class ended up training to be teachers themselves. He was a D.C. minister and told his wife if they came and got an anti-baby message they were outa there. (Must have heard about Margaret Sanger's plan to eliminate blacks.) They came up to us after class and said they were sold when we introduced ourselves, said we had five children, and emphasized that NFP was about "planning to HAVE families."

Most people assume they are as fertile as rabbits,

Whose a Grownup? Mia Love or Sandra Fluke?

Sandra Fluke is a pathetic piece of work. She makes hysterical, false, and defamatory statements about Paul Ryan:

Sandra Fluke: Paul Ryan 'Would Allow Pregnant Women to Die in Our Emergency Rooms'

And then she whines - again - about mean ole Rush Limbaugh and how Romney didn't rise to her defense against "hateful slurs." (Hey, Sandra, you're a feminist. Feminism killed chivalry and denigrated men's respect for women and now you want knights in white armor? Please!)

But let's set the record straight. Fluke can make all the "hateful slurs" she likes against anyone who disagrees with her, but if (horrors!) someone criticizes her promiscuous lifestyle (which she wants funded by the taxpayer) she expects people to rise and defend her honor. Sorry, Sandra, you have none. In fact, there's no evidence you have any self-respect. Announcing to the world that you fornicate and then demanding others to pay for your right to do it without consequences is cheap and exploitive. Why should some grandmother living in a trailer or my children who are raising families be taxed so you can get free birth control pills while you travel the world with your rich boyfriend? Why isn't he paying for it anyway? You're his sex object after all; shouldn't he pay for his toys?
Grow up, Sandra. At your age being a whining crybaby is pathetic.

Chesterton: Wasn't this Published Today?

G.K. Chesterton had an incredible sense of sardonic humor and every time I read the Chesterton Society's bi-monthly magazine, Gilbert, I enjoy plenty of good, healthy laughs. The Jan/Feb issue carries a number of "letters from feminists" with Chesterton's responses that could have been in today's paper. One lady sent GK a letter on birth control that Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood could have posted for her "I have a say" project. Here's an edited version of the woman's letter:
Dear Mr. Chesterton, You claim that the social policy of birth control came from capitalists who do not wish to pay a family wage, but I notice that you talk only about working men and about children, but you do not talk about women. You have not, I believe, ever been left in sole charge of a family of eleven with the cooking, the cleaning, the washing and the mending to do....What will your "family wage," which seems to be your only suggestion apart from improving housing, do to help this problem?....Some of us would prefer the right to earn outside the home ourselves, and we'd like to have a nursery school for our children....  Mrs. Dora Russell
And Chesterton's response:
Dear Mrs. Russell, Your mind darting at once to the darkest secret in my past, you have discovered that I have never been a woman. It is well to have the mystery cleared up as soon as possible. You suggest that I have never known what it is to be a mother who has to cook and clean for a large family on a small wage. I am glad to be able to add that I have never known what it is to be a master who paid a small wage and then justified himself by telling the mother not to have a large family....I quite admit that there is a great deal more to be said. But what is called Birth Control has so rich an abundance of bad qualities, it offers so varied a choice of blunders and degradations, that nobody can deal with all its ugly features at once....It is mixed up with a muddled idea that women are free when they serve their employers but slaves when they help their husbands....You prefer "the right to earn outside the home," or (in other words) the right to be a wage-slave and work under the orders of a total stranger because he happens to be a richer man. Your quarrel with motherhood is not, like mine, a quarrel with inhuman conditions, but simply a quarrel with human life.  Lansbury's Labour Weekly, Jan 22, 1927
It is interesting to note the date of Chesterton's response, January 22, the date of Roe v. Wade. Here is the prophet of the modern age making the connection between the insidious deception of birth control and its connection to the "quarrel with human life" forty-six years before the Supreme Court imposed the murder of children on every state in the union. Prophet indeed.

I'm all for the move to advance Chesterton's cause for sainthood. He was a convert to Catholicism who boiled down the reason to one. Catholicism is true. I urge you to pray for Chesterton and to ask his intercession that you might defend the faith with wit, wisdom, and humility. He certainly did!

The skit you'll never see on Saturday Night Live

(Dr. Bill has just examined Jenny Jones and they are walking into his office. He sits behind a desk and she sits down in a chair opposite.)

Dr. Bill: Well, well, I'm delighted to say that you are in excellent health. (He chuckles.) If you were a thoroughbred, my dear, I'd bet on you at the races. Now, just let me write this prescription for you and I'll see you in three months. (Begins writing on a prescription pad.)

Jenny Jones: (looking puzzled) Why do I need a prescription if I'm in "excellent health." What's it for?

Dr. Bill: (Looking at her over the top of his glasses.) Oh, it's for your boyfriend.(Hands her the prescription.)

Jenny Jones: (Looking at it) I don't understand. You mean he should take it?

Dr. Bill: (Chuckling) No, it's for you. (Talks to her as though she's a slow child.) Well, well, you're a healthy, FERTILE young woman and this will take care of that (He winks.) if you get my meaning.

Jenny Jones: (Tries to hand him back the prescription.) But, Doctor,....

Dr. Bill: (Picks up the pill package insert and lets it unfold. It drops open several feet.) Here's the list of risks and contraindications. Wouldn't want to be sued, you know. My insurance is too high already. (He hands it to her.)

Jenny Jones: (She reads silently shaking her head.) I'm not taking this.

Dr. Bill: (Sounding disappointed, accepts the folder from her.) Oh...well, some women don't like the idea of taking medicine every day when they aren't sick. (Cheering up.) But there are other alternatives. He goes through things on the desk until he finds what he's looking for) Ah, here it is. (He holds up a small device shaped like a T with threads hanging from it.) This is Mirena, a man's best friend. (gestures with his hands) I'll just insert this up your little coochie snorter and into the uterus and you and your partner will be set for five years. (He hands it to her.)

Jenny Jones: (She holds it up to the light and looks at it curiously.) What is it?

Dr. Bill: An IUD. Neat little device, eh? Insert it and forget it.

Jenny Jones: How does it work?

Dr. Bill: Hmmm.... Well, actually, we don't know exactly. It releases hormones...(looks through papers on his desk as he speaks, finds a pamphlet, opens it and uses his finger to scroll down the page and find what he's looking for. Reads...) "It may thicken your cervical mucus, thin the lining of your uterus, inhibit sperm movement and reduce sperm survival...may stop release of your egg from your ovary, but this is not the way it works in most cases. Most likely, these actions work together to prevent pregnancy." (Looks up and smiles cheerfully.) There, you have it. (He hands the pamphlet to her.)

Jenny Jones: (Looks at it then reads) Possible side effects: "Pelvic Inflammatory Disease...Life-threatening infections...embedment...perforation...cysts on the ovaries" (Angry, she stands and hands Mirena back.) What do I look like - a guinea pig?

Dr. Bill: (Trying to mollify her.) No need to get upset, Miss Jones. There's always condoms, gels, the sponge, ...

Jenny Jones: Enough! (She pulls a hairpin out of her upswept hairdo and hands it to Dr. Bill.) Stick that up your (indecipherable). (She walks toward the door, stops, turns around, and says in a firm voice.) By the way, it's MRS. Jones and I came today to confirm my pregnancy and begin prenatal care.

Dr. Bill: (Nonplussed) Oops...must have mixed up the charts. (Brightening) Well, just make an appointment for next month.

Mrs. Jones: In your dreams! (She slams the door on her way out.)

Dr. Bill: (Yells) Nurse!

Thank You, Idiot Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Every village has its idiot and Congress certainly qualifies as the elite village on the hill. And no one (well maybe Joe Biden as president of the Senate) deserves the title of village idiot more than Nancy Pelosi. Her stupid remarks in the recent interview with George Stephanopoulos got the birth control money pulled from the so-called "stimulus" package. So keep blabbing, Nancy. You are the best evidence that being a liberal democrat kills brain cells.
