Whose a Grownup? Mia Love or Sandra Fluke?

Sandra Fluke is a pathetic piece of work. She makes hysterical, false, and defamatory statements about Paul Ryan:

And then she whines - again - about mean ole Rush Limbaugh and how Romney didn't rise to her defense against "hateful slurs." (Hey, Sandra, you're a feminist. Feminism killed chivalry and denigrated men's respect for women and now you want knights in white armor? Please!)

But let's set the record straight. Fluke can make all the "hateful slurs" she likes against anyone who disagrees with her, but if (horrors!) someone criticizes her promiscuous lifestyle (which she wants funded by the taxpayer) she expects people to rise and defend her honor. Sorry, Sandra, you have none. In fact, there's no evidence you have any self-respect. Announcing to the world that you fornicate and then demanding others to pay for your right to do it without consequences is cheap and exploitive. Why should some grandmother living in a trailer or my children who are raising families be taxed so you can get free birth control pills while you travel the world with your rich boyfriend? Why isn't he paying for it anyway? You're his sex object after all; shouldn't he pay for his toys?

Grow up, Sandra. At your age being a whining crybaby is pathetic.

This made me laugh....Rush made a mistake (for which he apologized), but Carbonite's mistake was bigger. And Sandra Fluke, sad to say, illustrates a shamelessness all too common in her generation as Facebook and My Space and other social networking sites illustrate. Sandra and her boyfriend's Facebook posts illustrate exactly how hypocritical the thirty-something's Congressional testimony really was. She's hardly a poor, starving student freezing in her garret. 

And what decent woman gets up before a Congressional committee to air her sins in public? "Good afternoon, Congressmen, I'm here today to proclaim that I have a right to fornicate freely and I do mean freely. The taxpayers have an obligation to pay for my 'protection' like it or not. So pony up for all the poor law students who need their free birth control pills and, for that matter, abortions if the pills fail." 

When I was a student attending college in D.C. I occasionally drove with someone (I didn't own a car) down 14th Street and saw the ladies of the night publicly strutting their stuff. It saddened me that women would be reduced to selling their bodies to make ends meet. I'm betting that at least some of them felt like Fantine in Les Mis and would hardly call home to tell Mom what they were doing much less testify before a Congressional committee. But Sandra apparently has no shame about flaunting her fornication. And why should she be surprised if her public proclamation results in criticism from those who believe we should take our sins to the confessional instead of the board room? 

I feel sorry for Sandra Fluke, just like I did for the women on 14th Street. As for what Rush said, it was rude and crass and he definitely shouldn't have said it, but was he really far off? 

Poor Sandra Fluke, Slumming it in Spain

Sandra Fluke is a real piece of work. She moaned and whined to a Congressional committee about how she can't afford her birth control pills the cost of which she inflated ten times. But she can afford to be a globe trotter with her socialist boyfriend, Adam "Cutie Pants" Mutterperl. The picture above was taken last year in Barcelona. When was the last time you took a trip to Spain? My husband and I camp in the good old US of A and do our best to stay at county, state, and national parks where we can overnight for between $15 and $30. And we cook in for most meals. Not complaining, mind you, I love it. But I sure don't expect anyone else to pay for anything we do. If we can't afford it, we don't do it.

But you just gotta sympathize with Sandra. After that fancy vacation she needs someone else to pick up her miscellaneous expenses. How about paying for her housing and food too and don't forget the drinks.

Will Sandra Fluke Hear the Truth at Georgetown?

Not likely! They are among the Catholic schools, in Mike Voris' words. that are "turning out prodigies, and soldiers, and heroes for the culture of death." They ignore Catholic truth and focus on the world's values instead. Does anybody at Georgetown care about Sandra Fluke's soul. Doesn't seem so.

A Walk on the Left Bank

While the left continues to fulminate about Rush, a little walk down memory lane is in order to see the left's idea of "respecting women" which includes Playboy advocating "hate-f***ing" Michelle Malkin, Letterman making a joke about the statutory rape of Sarah Palin's daughter, Perez Hilton calling Carrie Prejean a "dumb b***ch," etc. ad nauseum.

Now where is the pulling of sponsors and the unrelenting rehash by the media about the treatment of these conservative women? Don't hold your breath.

See the left's idea of respect for women here. And then ask whether Rush's statements, for which he has apologized, were as egregious as they are. Frankly, I didn't hear obscenities coming out of his mouth.  He was insulting and provocative and imprudent, but the unbalanced outrage vs. the shrug and wink about demeaning treatment of women coming from the left is breathtakingly hypocritical! And that hypocrisy includes Sandra Fluke's. She didn't mind appearing on Ed Schultz's show. Remember him? He called Laura Ingraham a "right wing slut." He apologized and Ingraham graciously accepted it, unlike Fluke's petulant attitude toward Rush.

But hypocrisy is the left's badge of honor. They follow Saul Alinsky's adage to make your opponents abide by their rules, while no rules apply to you. If you want to understand the left, read Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. It's a real eye-opener that explains everything you see coming out of the progressive camp. Jesus knew all about this which is why he advised his followers:

"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves."

Rush was pretty accurate when he said he shouldn't have sunk to the level of his opponents. I agree.  We need to remember, as Christians, that they are not the enemy, just the useful dupes of the father of lies. Pray, fast, and fight for the truth. Nothing makes the left more upset than that.

How Long Before the Left Dumps Sandra Fluke?

The left is notorious for using people, squeezing them dry, and dropping them down the garbage chute. Sandra Fluke is enjoying her fifteen minutes of fame as, like a giggling school girl, she makes the rounds of the morning talk shows. But as more information comes out the likely scenario is that she will become an embarrassment to those who have used her to advance their agenda. Watch her get dropped like a hot potato. That's par for the course in the liberal war room. Use 'em and dump 'em.
