If the family is moral and strong, a nation will be moral and strong. That's why communist philosophy always strikes at the family. Orwell showed that masterfully in 1984 where children were encouraged to spy on their parents and report them for violations against Big Brother.

My husband and I took a grandson student at James Madison University (JMU) out for brunch  yesterday. It is always a delight to be one on one with a grandchild, especially one on the cusp of independent adulthood. We enjoy every minute of those get-togethers and our conversation about what they are doing and what they hope to do in the future.

It got me thinking about the "evil empire" Ronald Reagan described back in the 1980s.

Who represents the "evil empire" today? Does one nation fit Ronald Reagan's description of the "evil empire" or does it reside in the minds and hearts of those who "breathe together" the spirit of Lucifer. Who listens to and advances his siren song, "You can be like unto God?"

Make Atonement for the Blasphemy of Idol Worship at the Amazon Synod!

Watch the video! That's what the pope and the bishops attending the Amazon Synod should have done when the Pachamama idols were brought on the scene, surrounded, venerated, and actually worshiped by the circle of people including a Franciscan.

Please don't try to explain this away. The body language of lifting up your arms and bowing down to the images of Pachamama and the earth are clearly postures of WORSHIP! How many of you bow down like that to your garden gnome?

The pope should have acted like the good priest. Instead, he and his group of false ecology-worshiping brethrenis allowed and participated in and approved idol worship by their silence!

"Sustainable development" is the buzz phrase used by Marxist socialists to bring in the one world Masonic order.

Read that sentence again!

Sustainable development is used to advance abortion, contraception, population control and tyranny over people (for their own good, of course)! Many of the Catholic charities are already knee deep in these moral evils!

And now... consider how the Vatican has become the #1 cheerleader for sustainable development and integral ecology partnering with the very worst of the secular world's leaders and spokesmen.

One world government is what the Amazon Synod is all about. It is Marxist and Masonic to the core. Michael Hichborn at the Lepanto Institute was talking about it the other night to the inner circle group of the Lepanto Institute. It's well worth watching!

By common consent St. Augustine is one of the giants of the Latin Church.  His life is an inspiration to all those in danger of succumbing to the grave sin of despair because his example is one of going from despair, the work of the devil, to ecstasy, the work of the God.  Nowhere is this transformation better manifested than in his monumental work, the City of God, wherein he contrasts the struggle for our souls being waged by the forces of Perfect Good, God Almighty, against the forces of consummate evil, in particular, the “evil one.”

Greek philosophy as it spread out influenced the early generations of Christians. In fact, Plato was the dominant philosophical figure for much of the Middle Ages. Augustine was a Christian Platonist.  He was enamored with Plato to the extent that he recognized that Plato arrived at some Christian truths unaided by grace or revelation.  St. Thomas Aquinas had this to say about Augustine as a Platonist.
