"The moment has come in which God asks the Holy Father to make, and to order that in union with him and at the same time, all the bishops of the world make, the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate heart, promising to convert it because of this day of prayer and worldwide reparation." The Blessed Virgin to Sr Lucy on June 13, 1929.
Pope Pius XI, who was Pope at the time, did not do what our Mother requested.
Because of this act of deliberate disobedience on his part, Our Lord Himself appeared to Sister Lucy in August 1931 at Rianjo, Spain, where she was recuperating at the time. Here is what He had to say about the matter:
"Make it known to My ministers, given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, they will follow him into misfortune. It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary."Later, Sister Lucy related the additional complaint of Our Lord:
"They did not wish to heed My request! ... Like the King of France, they will repent of it, and they will do it, but it will be late. Russia will have already spread its errors in the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church. The Holy Father will have much to suffer."Note that Our Lord made these statements before any additional consecrations had been attempted. The initial rebellion was sufficient to bring on the promised consequences. And so we have experienced them. From 1929 onward, the Church has suffered through the Spanish Civil War, World War 2, the Chinese Civil War and multiple wars all over the globe. By some estimates, over 100 million people died due to the advance of communism. Now, as promised, we see it taking over our own USA.
But the worst is yet to come, because Our Lord promised that His Ministers will go through the same type of misfortune that befell the King of France. Because King Louis XIV and his two successors refused to consecrate France to Our Lord's Immaculate Heart as requested by St Margaret Mary Alacoque, France suffered horribly in the French revolution. Over one million people died, if the Napoleonic wars are included. The King and Queen were executed, about 20,000 priests were ejected from their ministries, all church property was expropriated by the State, hundreds of priests were expelled from France and sent overseas, and others were jailed. In a few short years, France was completely dechristianized.
As we watch many of our hierarchy descend into heresy, they reveal themselves to be hirelings and not shepherds. They oppress the sheep that they should be protecting; feeding them weeds instead of pasture. They are unknowingly filling up the cup of God's wrath, which Our Lord has promised will be poured out upon them at an appropriate time. God help them.
Our Lady promised that in the end her Immaculate Heart will triumph. We can help that time come about by living the Fatima message: praying the rosary every day and practicing the Five First Saturdays Devotion. Let us be partners with Our Lady for the glory of God.
