Actually when I was at Trinity during the 1968 riots, protestors did a pretty good job of burning it down themselves. I was familiar with the area because I was student teaching at Shaw Junior High School that year. There are still boarded up buildings in the area.

I didn't sleep very well on retreat. Having arrived with a basketful of stressers, like the possibility of my husband needing a replacement of his knee replacement (No longer a possibility, but a surety), the serious illness of a friend (She's back in the hospital), and some other issues (sigh),  I needed to make a serious effort to enter into the meditations. Eugene Ionesco, a member of the Theatre of the Absurd movement, wrote an interesting play called The Leader which perfectly illustrates the idiocy of many in these days of pandemonium over both the coronavirus and the Black Lives Matter movement. I actually participated in this play when I was in college. Trinity was down the street from Catholic U. with its famous drama department. Some friends and I acted the play for a C.U. student's senior project. She had us running around the stage like these actors, but bleating like sheep. Lee-eee-eee-eea-der, Lee-eee-eee-eea-der. It was perfect!

When I saw that a bunch of white students participated to shout down ACLU president Claire Gastanaga at William and Mary in the name of Black Lives Matter -- well what can you do but laugh! The ACLU has been shutting down pro-lifers and other conservatives for years. Now one of their reps knows what its like. Good, maybe that will impact their policies.

But the threat to free speech is real.

And it was ironic and ridiculous to see children of white privilege chanting slogans along with their black colleagues against white privilege. Were they joking?

Hey, if they really believe it, shouldn't they give up their slots at William and Mary for black applicants. What right do they have to be accepted instead of a black student?

Why is it that so many who claim they believe that "black lives matter" are all for killing little black babies in the womb.

How come anyone who tries to examine the causes of the Civil War recognizing there was plenty of wrong on both sides of the debate is immediately accused of being in favor of slavery instead of simply wanting an honest appraisal of history?

The Planned Parenthood Cover-Up - Hide the Deaths, Promote the Genocide

I once participated on a panel with a post aborted woman married to a criminal detective. One of the
things she said was that her husband had investigated four legal abortion deaths reported as "medical misadventure." Coroners were helping to cover up abortion mill negligence.

How many of those "medical misadventures" are due to the biggest abortion mill business in the country, Planned Parenthood? We'll never know. But here's one of those deaths where medical professionals play hide-and-seek with the truth.
