• The CCHD (Catholic Campaign for Human Development) collection is coming up. This is the fraudulent pocket picking of pew sitters to divert Catholic contributions to groups that lobby for liberal Democrats and support abortion, contraception, and sodomy. Check out the Lepanto Institute report and see how the collection funds intrinsic evils. Don't give a plug nickle; do put in a note that you will not be supporting the parish until they issue an apology for passing the basket to enable evil. I made the video above 16 years ago. Nothing much has changed at the CCHD except it's worse than ever. It's way past time to eliminate that group for good. Add prayers and penance to your boycott.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has been enabling grievous sins for years. They support distribution of contraceptives in the third world and assist organizations that fund abortion. The CCHD (Catholic Campaign for Human Development) and Catholic Charities are pigmies next to the evil giant of CRS. I rejoice over defunding these groups that enable so much evil. We can expect howling from the bishops, but the taxpayers will benefit. Charity is a Catholic obligation and the bishops should be preaching that, but their charities distribute poison along with their rice bowls. The bishops no longer have the confidence of Catholic in the pew. Catholics once were a powerhouse to be feared in the voting booth. The bishops squandered our power long ago by embracing liberalism, preaching seamless garment garbage, and going for the money. Love of money is the root of all evils and the USCCB often seems to love the almighty dollar more than Almighty God.  Cut the funding and close the massive Catholic bureaucracy in D.C. We will all benefit!

Almsgiving with a Clear Conscience: Don't Give to CCHD and Other Judas Catholic Groups!

I occasionally get asked what charities are safe to donate to. I have a few favorites of my own with Aid to the Church in Need, the Poor Clares, and the Little Sisters of the Poor among them. We also support a number of pro-life groups. Sad to say, many of the Catholic groups are among the most egregious when it comes to supporting intrinsic moral evils like abortion and contraception. The Lepanto Institute has a great webpage with reports on various charities both secular and religious. Their reporting on the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and Catholic Relief Services exposes their deep connection to abortion, contraception, and sodomy. Catholic Judas groups often support organizations that help defeat pro-life politicians and elect radical leftists. And they use money from the people in the pews to do it who erroneously believe their hard-earned money is helping the poor and downtrodden.

The Lepanto Institute exposes the abject evil of of CCHD. They are a major contributor to Marxist community organizing. The goup was poison from the beginning, a plan hatched by Msgr. Jack Egan and Saul Alinsky to pick the pockets of American Catholics using the poor as window dressing.

Spiraling Out of Control and Into Darkness

I received a link from a friend this morning which highlights the deepening of wickedness in the Girls Scouts of America.  It sparked a conversation about our own “scouting” experiences as kids.  I told her I had been a member of the Blue Birds and the Camp Fire Girls. 

Just thinking about it reminded me of the cute uniform I wore and I immediately went online to find photos of the vintage outfit. 

My search continued into information about Camp Fire Girls and had me scratching my head a little.  Half way down the rabbit hole by this time, I decided to follow my search a little further and came upon a Q & A link where parents were discussing different “scouting options” for their children.  That’s when things got really wacky.  One mentioned quite casually that Spiral Scouts would be one to consider. 

Spiral cannot be good, I thought, and I was right.  This is a link to the Wikipedia entry for this group.  And this is a link to the Aquarian Tabernacle Church where Spiral Scouts was first formed. 

After reading this article a few days ago on National Catholic Register, I was aware of the tremendous rise in interest of the occult and of pagan beliefs and practices, but I wasn’t prepared for the training of children as young as three into such beliefs.

In many dioceses the CCHD (Catholic Campaign for Human Development) collection is taken near Thanksgiving, but in some it is earlier and the name has been changed in order to confuse the patsies in the pew. 

Stop Feeding the Bishops' Evil Bureaucracy

The Lepanto Institute headed by Michael Hichborn recently revealed how the bureaucrats at the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) attempted to bribe them with a grant from the CCHD (Catholic Campaign for Human Development) if they would stop exposing the evil groups the bishops' "charity" funds.

Really? That's what Jesus would do?

Lepanto refused, of course, so they have been the target of a relentless attack to discredit their attempts to get the CCHD, Catholic Relief Services, and Catholic Charities to stop funding evil organizations and programs that promote intrinsically immoral actions like homosexual behavior, abortion, contraception, and other moral evils opposed by Catholic doctrine.

It's more than shocking and it demonstrates the reality that love of money is the root of all evils. Check it out here. The USCCB is a conduit for your tax dollars as well as contributions you put in the collection basket, and if it means they have to commit a little evil to get the dough -- well, the new reality is "Hey, you patsies in the pew, we cooperate with just a little moral evil because we're doing oh-so-much good."

I'm happy to say that, according to the financial report in our bulletin, our parish contributed $10.00 to CCHD. Zero would be better, but we're close.

It's a sad truth but you just can't trust the bishops not to support moral evils with your money! The campaign continues to be serious problematic giving millions to Alinsky community organizing groups that fund projects diametrically opposed to Catholic teaching. Check out these sources below and give to an organization that is trustworthy and doesn't support moral evils. Please pass this on. Friends don't let friends give to CCHD.

Reform CCHD NOW!

"Throughout this investigation, RCN has witnessed a rising trend in granting money to organizations that support abortion, birth control, homosexuality, and/or Marxism either directly or through coalitions. Despite repeated claims by CCHD representatives that CCHD does not fund such groups, the report this year indicates that 37% of the organizations receiving CCHD funds are in violation of CCHD guidelines. In this year's report, RCN found that $2.8 million of the total $7.6 million (38%) in CCHD grants went to organizations undermining the Church's efforts to protect human life and dignity."

CCHD Collection is This Weekend! Boycott!

Don't give to the CCHD (Catholic Campaign for Human Development) collection this weekend and tell your friends to boycott! Unless, of course, you want your donation "for the poor" to go to abortion, contraception, promotion of same-sex "marriage," porn-pushing, prostitution enabling, salaries of community organizers and the election of political Marxists. Yes, Virginia, CCHD is funding all those things and the promotion of illegal immigration to boot! Tell the folks living on the border dealing with the drug lords, murders of ranchers, destruction of property, etc. what a great thing illegal immigration is. Last year, Gamaliel affilitates received almost $800,000 in grants. This "faith-based" community organizing group is notorious for promoting the liberal agenda. This collection is helping to push the U.S. over the cliff. And we're still waiting for an apology for all the Catholic money poured into ACORN. Cardinal Dolan? Anyone? Anyone?

While hoping that the Catholic Campaign for Human Development will actually be reformed, faithful Catholics are right to remain skeptical. Prudence dictates continued withholding of contributions from this "Catholic" in name only charity that funnels money to so many immoral organizations. Michael Hichborn details the latest head shaker in his article about the Chelsea Initiative, a group that promotes homosexual activism. CCHD actually tried to convince this pro-homosexual group to KEEP their $40,000 grant after the group returned it saying they could not comply with CCHD rules. HUH? Can somebody at CCHD explain this? Sounds like Chelsea has more integrity than CCHD! Here's what Hichborn says:

Michael Hichborn of American Life League has it exactly right in his comment preceding this article and his comment at the end. Are there no Catholic groups that help the homeless? Not only that, but how many organizations aren't quite as honest as Chelsea and wait to get caught with both hands in the cookie jar? Boycott the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).

I never thought I would catch myself saying this, but Kudos to the Chelsea Collaborative for having the honesty to return CCHD funding. But the big question is, why did CCHD go chasing after them like a forlorn lover, begging them not to go?

CCHD Continues Funding Liberalism

In fact, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development which promised to mend its ways is now worse than it was twenty years ago. Instead of only 30% funding of Alinskyite groups, it's now over half. My friend, Stephanie Block, who's been exposing CCHD corruption for decades. Stephanie explains how the bishops "charity" is drumming up support for the HHS mandate while the bishops pay lip service to opposition. Remember that old saying, "Put your money where your mouth is?" Well, you can tell what the bishops (or at least their bureaucrats) support by where the money goes and it sure isn't for the defense and expansion of the faith. When will it end?
