The Need for Supernatural Perspective

Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven earth
As is immediately evident, our world is absorbed by political and secular concerns which seek as an ultimate goal a human utopia on earth, failing to recognize that this life is merely a way-station to eternal life and supernatural happiness in the next. This warped perspective ignores the character of God and the nature of ultimate reality professed by the Roman Catholic Church. It gives scant recognition to the divine and spiritual life. Implicit is a lost vision of Christ, extraordinary naivete, and a complete lack of logic.

A true Catholic perspective comprehends that our current natural, physical and material existence is only a part of reality, and a minor part at that. The essence of reality lies in the supernatural realm. As our Roman Catholic Church constantly emphasizes, we are on earth "to know, love and serve God in this world so that we may be happy with Him forever in heaven." We are human beings destined for eternal life.

The windmills of my mind wondering about the future of the priesthood

Alter Christus
Would married priests include same-sex married men since same-sex "marriage" is now legal? In other words, how would they be able to say that the married priesthood is only for men married to women thereby discriminating against men married to men? Or, if women become priests, women married to women?

As for women priests, that would indicate approval for same-sex marriage - lesbianism in this case - because theologically the Bride of Christ is the Church therefore priests, as alter Christus, are married to the Church. If women are priests they would be married to the Church which would indicate lesbianism.

Additionally, married men and women as priests would indicate approval of polygamy since a priest as a married man would be married to his wife and to the Church. And a woman priest married to a man and to the Church, or a woman priest married to another woman and the Church, would indicate approval of poly fidelity.

Furthermore, transgender people would be in an uproar to get equal rights to the Priesthood of Christ. A transgender woman would really be a male priest; a transgender man, who is really a woman, married to a lesbian could be a priest. The result of that would be to remake the Bride of Christ into a gender neutral entity so that no parties would be offended by the Church being cisgender.

In addition, all of this would mean that the laity would likewise be able to participate in such unions.

Wouldn't it be better to leave the Priesthood as Christ founded it?

Would Jesus Vote Democrat or Republican, for Biden or Trump?

Voting for the Radical Communist Left (Biden)
means voting for re-crucifying Jesus.

WOULD JESUS VOTE FOR BIDEN OR TRUMP?
by Rudy Lohse

The Catholic Church is not a political party. It is a defender of the moral law. Jesus is not partisan and would never support a particular political group, such as the Democrats or Republicans. Rather Jesus would vote to uphold the moral teachings He has entrusted to His Church for safekeeping through the Pope and Magisterium, i.e. the bishops in communion with the Pope. Thus Jesus would be oriented to specific issues to determine and support those that are in accord with His divine law, and permit flexibility of choice to the people whenever the issues are primarily secular rather than divinely mandated. This is entirely consistent with His mandate to “Render to Caesar (the world) the things that are Caesar’s, and render to God the things that are God’s.” From this frame of reference, consider the following issues that have become the focal point of the 2020 presidential campaign:

God’s Things

One must preserve God’s Law by always opposing:

  • Abortion
  • Same-sex marriage/LGBT
  • Embryonic stem cell research
  • Cloning
  • Infanticide
  • Euthanasia

Behold Your Future

Every inch of our lives is being planned for us.
The Left (Joe Biden) will literally hand America over to the globalists.
There will be no national borders.
There will be no individuality.
There will be no God.
There will be no Catholic Church.
There will only be the Godless elite running the world...and the rest of us that they rule.
People, awake from your slumber.

President Trump is all that stands between the barbarians at the gate and us

The world is on the brink of global Marxism.
If you vote for Joe, America is dead and the Church will be savagely persecuted.
A vicious war will have to be fought to regain freedom.
President Trump is the only thing standing in the way between us and our future masters.

The Primal Religion of Mankind Must be Identical to God's Revealed Religion

Did God write this in our hearts?
Should Mankind follow the Bible, Christ and Christianity or the Quran, Muhammad and Islam? Here's the answer.

God's Primal Religion
If God expects from us an account of our actions then it is necessary that He gives us a Law for the rule and judgement of those actions. That Law, called the Mosaic Law, the Natural Law, or moral law is written upon the human heart and is the primal religion given to mankind by God. It's God's universal standard of right and wrong rooted in our human nature. Therefore, the first religion which God gave to Man was that natural religion which He imprinted on our very nature when He first created us.

Book Review: Pope Francis's Paradigm Shift

Who would ever imagine the humanitarian crisis on our southern border would have anything to do with the indigenous tribes in Brazil.  I would never have connected those dots until I read the newly published English translation of Pope Francis’s Paradigm Shift, Continuity or Rupture in the Mission of the Church? by Jose Antonio Ureta.  This is “An Assessment of His Pontificate’s First Five Years.”
I’ve read two other books on Pope Francis that have been informative, but neither comes close to the quantity and quality of direct quotes and scholarly detail in concise text and extended footnote explanations.  The book is only 172 pages long and some pages are only half text.  (The other half taken up in footnotes with source information including many useful links to You Tube that you might never otherwise find on your own.)  This small book should be in everyone’s reading range.  It is available now on Amazon in print.  When I first saw it mentioned there was a reference to an online PDF, but I went straight for the hardcopy.  You can access the book online in three languages.  For English, go to: http://www.tfp.org/paradigm-shift-a-critical-assessment-of-the-francis-pontificate/    If you click this link and read even the 8 page introduction you will be STUNNED.  I finished the whole thing in three days.  Very hard to put it down.

St Gabriel or "Gabriel"? One Was Sent by God; the Other Was Satan

"And therefore also the Holy which shall be born
of thee shall be called the Son of God."
Luke 1:35
Appointment of the
Prophet Muhammad
through
the Angel Gabriel Satan

The Catholic Church teaches that St Gabriel the Archangel was sent by God to the Blessed Mother at the Annunciation. Islam teaches that "Gabriel the Archangel" was sent by God to Muhammad in the Cave at Hira.

Only one of the two angels in the two events was the genuine St Gabriel the Archangel. Only one of the two angels in the two events was sent by God. The genuine St Gabriel the Archangel can be in ONE event only. Most definitely he cannot be in both.

Inflicting Greater Pain

"Look, Mommy. He's smiling."

Have you ever seen a dog fight? Not an illegal dog fight in a ring with betting. I mean a real honest to goodness fight to the death between two male dogs that have happened upon each other by accident in a normal setting? I have and it's horrifying, but I saw with my own eyes a hero step in and stop it instantaneously. Snap! And it was over. Just that fast. The dog on top, his teeth already sunk into the other dog's throat slowly killing him, leaped off his victim yowling in pain.

It happened at a Thoroughbred training barn where grooms, riders, owners, trainers were free to bring their dogs while milling around the barn talking horse talk and watching daily workouts. One of the exercise riders had a German Shepherd and another person had a pit bull. Both dogs were full males. The German Shepherd was frequently at the barn since his owner worked there. The pit bull's owner was visiting and brought his dog along. I'm not certain he meant to let his dog out of the truck but suddenly there the dog was zigzagging around the courtyard intently sniffing the ground.

It's First Friday? Great! Let's Party!!

Orlando's Baldwin Park First Friday Festival
is held EVERY First Friday
Recently I overheard a friend ask another, "Are you going to First Friday?" My thoughts immediately went to First Friday Devotions at the parish, then to thinking that I had had no idea that these two people were Catholics. Next they asked each other what they were going to wear. I thought: Wear? What do they mean what are they going to wear. It's not like it's a party or anything.

If my two friends had overheard me ask another Catholic, "Are you going to First Friday?" they would have been astonished to know that meant going to church instead of partying all night because First Friday to the secular world and First Friday to Catholics are two different things. One is the Catholic Church's First Friday Devotions in reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the other is indeed a party - First Friday Festivals in almost every city, town and community in America and across Western civilization.

What Do You Think about Bishop Sullivan's House?

My post on the diocesan purchase of the $500,000 house in Camden (which some assure us in "not a mansion") generated a bit of controversy. While some are defending the bishop, other residents of the diocese (I am not one.) disagree with the necessity for the purchase. One parishioner wrote a letter and posted it to YouTube (below).

What do you think? Does the fact that three priests will live there make it reasonable? How about the person claiming it was only $100,000+ instead of $500,000 because of the sale of other property? What do you think?

Is This a Sign of the "Springtime of Evangelization?"

Camden Diocese Consolidating More Parishes

Hope is a Christian virtue and an important one. No matter the circumstances, no matter how the storm rages around us, we hope in the Lord. But sometimes it's hard. As we read the statistics on young people leaving the Catholic Church and see diocese after diocese closing and consolidating formerly vibrant parishes...well...it looks more like coming winter than springtime. Pray for the Church.

Well, if Jesus' houses are being boarded up, not so with the bishop's living space.

N.J. Bishop's Mansion Draws Criticism

Just a bit from the article:
From 2008 to 2010, the diocese shrunk its number of parishes by more than 40%, going from 124 to about 70. The diocese, made up of New Jersey's six most southern counties, has about a half million Catholics but fewer than a quarter go to Mass regularly.

"Amazing that the Catholic Church has money for this extravagant home despite the apparent financial crisis that has led to the closing of many Catholic schools (including St. Patrick's in Woodbury) and several churches," he said....
"The diocese purchased the property because the bishop needs a residence and space to hold meetings with potential donors and benefactors," diocesan spokesman Peter Feuerherd said. "It will well pay for itself and more. We realize others may have a different opinion, but that was the rationale behind the purchase."
Somehow, there is always a reasonable rationale behind the lavish living of the bishop. Does Bishop Sullivan make you think of the holy bishop in Les Miserables? Can you see Bishop Sullivan giving his silver candlesticks to Jean Valjean?

Pray for Holy Mother Church. So many of our clerics today seem more interested in building their own wonderland on earth than building the city of God. Pray for them. If you have a holy bishop, thank God and pray for him. If you have a worldly bishop, beg God's mercy on him. A little fasting wouldn't hurt for all bishops. They will be called, as we all are, to an accounting on Judgment Day.

Hmm...First Lightning, Now an Earthquake? What are you waiting for?

It begins to look like a real shake-up of the Church! And perhaps a last call for the world!

Earthquake Strikes Near Castel Gandolfo

First lightning strikes St. Peter's dome the day the pope announces his abdication. Now an earthquake between Rome and Castel Gandolfo. What next? Are these the "signs and portents" described in Acts of the Apostles when our first pope preached to the people of Rome on that first Pentecost?
It shall come to pass in the last days, says God that I will pour out a portion of my spirit on all mankind....I will work wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below: blood, fire, and a cloud of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of that great and glorious day of the Lord. Then shall everyone be saved who calls on the name of the Lord.
Are you calling on the name of the Lord? If not, what are you waiting for? None of us knows the day or the hour of our last opportunity to repent. Remember the people at the time of Noah who were eating and drinking and marrying up til the day of the flood. There's no time to lose. God is calling and watching eagerly for our return  like the Father of the prodigal son. Let's not keep him waiting.

By the way, the full moon the other night was bright red as it rose over the Valley.

Columbian Priest Spills the Beans About Homosexual Priests

You think the homosexual priest problem is behind us? Get real. Recently a Columbian priest published a book about the sexual immorality, mainly homosexual immorality, in the priesthood. Here's a portion of an article describing his book. You can read the complete text here....

In 2007, Fr. Robledo, formerly head of the ecclesiastical tribunal for the archdiocese of Cali, made public evidence, including videos, of sexual and financial misconduct among many of the archdiocese's clergy. Among his allegations were that several priests were conducting ongoing sexual relationships, including with women and young boys. Some priests have secretly fathered children and in two cases have been sued by the mothers for child support.

In a letter to Archbishop Sarasti, made public in the newspapers, Fr. Robledo spoke of "chronic and shameful homosexual conducts of friends and close collaborators" of the archdiocese. In a radio interview, Father Robledo said that Archbishop Sarasti responded to the charges by saying that such acts belong to the priests' private lives.

Catholic Church under assault in Connecticut

A bill introduced in Connecticut by two practicing homosexuals, Andrew McDonald and Michael Lawlor, will transfer the financial regulation of Catholic parishes to lay boards by order of the state. Bill No. 1098, referred to the Committee on Judiciary in January co-chaired by McDonald and Lawlor, directs that the "corporation shall have a board of directors consisting of not less than seven nor more than thirteen lay members...elected from among the lay members of the congregation at an annual meeting of the corporation....The general administrative powers of the corporation shall be exercised by or under the authority of the board of directors [i.e., The bishop and pastor are banned from managing the parish financially.] ....The pastor of the congregation shall report to the board of directors. ....Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit, restrict or derogate from any power, right, authority, duty or responsibility of the bishop or pastor in matters pertaining exclusively to religious tenets and practices." [Nice of Big Brother.... Does this mean the bishop or pastor can authorize the songs at Mass but has to go to the board for permission to buy the hymn books?] Interestingly the bill applies only to Catholic churches -- for now.

The bishops of Connecticut are fighting back and calling on Catholics to attend the hearing scheduled for Wednesday March 11.

The bishops have no one to blame but themselves for this awful bill. There are too many examples of pastors who stole parish money to maintain immoral lifestyles. It's ironic that two homosexuals are pushing it since outright theft of parish property has often been due to homosexual pastors embezzling funds to maintain their double lives? (Remember whistleblower priest Fr. Michael Madden and his nemesis, Fr. Jude Fay? from Darien, CT?) Jesus said the children of darkness are more shrewd than the children of light. Like Rahm Emanuel says, "A crisis is a terrible thing to waste." And liberals like McDoanald and Lawlor aren't about to let that happen - any opportunity to go after the church that is a stumbling block to legalizing same-sex marriage!

Pray and fight against this bill which is clearly unconstitutional under the first amendment. The state has absolutely NO RIGHT to regulate the financial management of the church. The next Catholic diocese targeted might be yours. Call on your bishop to ensure firm financial accountability, not the state. Make sure he has policies and procedures in place to protect parish assets and to prevent luxurious rectory renovations that most parishioners could never afford on their own homes. Spend the money on the houses of God and the parish schools, not on gold fixtures and marble fireplaces in the bishop's house and the pastor's rectory.
