The Left's participation in evil has always been to shock. And once normal people "get over" the shock and move on, the Left has to move forward with something even more shocking, leaving the former shocking thing in the dust. That's what's happening to homosexuals today. "Normal homosexuals" - those "married" sodomites settled down in a house and living what appears to be a "normal lifestyle just like heterosexuals" - have lost their shock value. They're passé. Boring actually. Therefore it's no longer shocking to hire an active sodomite as the Diocesan Director of Liturgy or appoint homosexuals as pastors of large parishes with a school. How monotonous.

Opening a museum, Michelle used the event to fan the flames of racial envy and division:

Here is her latest disgrace. A new type of race card you might never have imagined. She used a speech during the opening of a museum to fan the flames of racial hatred and divisiveness. So awful:

“Museums and concert halls,” she said, just don’t welcome non-white visitors – especially children – the way they welcome whites.

We go to museums and plays and concerts and there are ALWAYS minority visitors among those present. I have never observed them being treated differently from anyone else. The last museum we went to was the Air and Space Center in Virginia. A variety of races and nationalities were touring. We joined a tour group with a retired Air Force pilot as the docent. Several races and nationalities participated. We were all welcomed. Anyone who asked a question was treated with respect. The children, whatever their color, were encouraged to be involved.

Michelle Obama has the gall from her exalted position in the White House to take every opportunity to attack (and I use that word deliberately) white Americans. We are privileged. We are closing opportunities to Blacks like her. We are evil and biased and hateful.

If she weren't so obviously serious, one would be tempted to think she was in a comedy act. But the woman appears to be filled with hatred toward whites who must be blamed and condemned at every opportunity.Is it any wonder the country is more racially divided than ever since she and Barack entered the White House. I think they enjoy fomenting racial and class divisions. I just find it nauseating that the wife of someone who was elected by a majority of white voters has spent almost eight years despising and condemning them because of the color of their skin. She should be ashamed!

Michelle is completely tone deaf! There she is enjoying luxury living visiting one of the poorest countries in the world, and she describes her opulent lifestyle as living in a "really nice prison." Now wouldn't most of the people in Tanzania like a prison 1/100th as fine as hers! Oh, but her life is "confining." Hey, so is mine. I'm "confined" to Monday morning laundry, cooking meals, doing dishes, cleaning toilets, running the vacuum,, defrosting the freezer, pulling weeds in my garden, etc. 

Oh...but Michelle must be doing all those things too...right?

Give us all a break, Michelle. Your life in the White House has been one long dream of a vacation with jaunts to Martha's Vineyard, Hawaii, touring England, safaris in Africa, skiing in Vale, a night out in New York City, million dollar parties with rock stars, trips to Spain, a Roman holiday, etc., etc. ad nauseum. We should all enjoy such a "prison!" Just give me the "prison" food prepared by the White House chef and I won't ask for anything more. Michelle ought to be singing a different song!

What hypocrisy! These two exhibit the worst of the charges leveled at the 1 percent! They are greedy and dishonest and have made a fortune based on deals with their shady friends! Michelle was in the forefront of gouging the uninsured poor and refusing them service. And these two are going to reform health care? Right!

Is Michelle Obama a Good Role Model?

Occasionally, folks posting comments here ask why I "hate" Michelle Obama and have it in for her. She is, they claim, a great mom, a good role model, etc. Well, aside from the fact that I don't "hate" anybody no matter how evil their agenda, and acknowledging the fact that I'm sure Michelle loves her daughters, she is no role model. 

Let me make my case. First of all, we need heroes for role models. What qualities make a hero? Integrity, courage, kindness, generosity, compassion, sacrifice, humility, and a commitment to serving the common good. In other words, virtuous people who have a heart for the weakest and most vulnerable.

What is integrity if not absolute truthfulness or, as some have defined it, acting the same way when no one is looking. A person of integrity is a truth-teller. He may be mistaken at times, but he always speaks the truth to the best of his ability, takes responsibility for and corrects any mistakes he makes (humility), and refuses to take refuge in excuses (courage). In fact, with a person of integrity, what you see is what you get.

Is Michelle a person of integrity?

Michelle Obama has been described as an "icon of fashion," but she often looks ridiculous to me. Maybe it's just because I'm an old lady, but really, how many other wives of heads of state dress like this? As for the money...I imagine Michelle gets these high fashion duds for free from the designers but the taxpayers are certainly picking up all security and transportation costs that go along with these gad abouts. Does the first couple ever stop campaigning? Or condemning the selfish rich? Hmmm....maybe people in glass houses....

Michelle Obama reminds me of Hollywood actress/traitor turned exercise guru, Jane Fonda. Just like Jane and her body worship, Michelle loves showing off her biceps in sleeveless dresses. And we all know she serves her hubby arugula when he isn't chowing down on barbecue and gourmet pizza.

But if you were a fat kid, how would Michelle's attack on childhood obesity play out in real life? Peggy Howell of the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance paints a grim picture of the consequences of attacking obesity instead of urging all children to focus on a healthier diet and lifestyle. Considering the reality of eating disorders and obsession with body image, especially in girls, Howell makes a cogent point. Stop talking about fat kids and instead go swimming or take a hike.

How should the first family present themselves in public? Does it make a difference if they are heading out on vacation to the Grand Canyon or is there even a standard for vacation casual? Do we want to see the First Lady in a bikini at the beach, for example? How about a thong bikini? Clothes may not make the man (or woman) but they do say something about how the first couple sees the office of the presidency. Judging from the Obamas year to date, I'd say the presidency is their personal playground. Bill Clinton treated it the same way, but at least he dressed the part.

Michelle Obama: to the Manner Born

Socialists are always good for a laugh! They preach equality and take from the "rich" (anyone who makes over $250,000... or $150,000... or $100,000... or $50,000....) ostensibly to give to the poor, but more often to give to government bureaucrats -- especially themselves.

Now you would expect that the Obamas being so concerned about the average American, as they constantly tell us while they attack greedy white rich folks, would be ever so budget conscious and absolutely committed to economizing for the American people. (Warning: Nobody get mean here and talk about date nights to New York, flying in pizza chefs from St. Louis, taking European vacations with the girls, etc. or steps will be taken.) Unfortunately, their lovely rhetoric doesn't seem to be matched by their actions.

American Thinker has a fascinating piece by Ralph Alter on Michelle Obama's budget which is THREE TIMES higher than Laura Bush's was in 2004. What are the American people getting for their $1,448,500? Lots of secretaries and assistant secretaries and assistants to assistants. But read the article for yourself and laugh (or weep). And the next time you hear the president talk about protecting the little guy, remember just how much he cares about you -- like family -- but not like the first family. More like his half brother George in Kenya who's not worth bothering about.
