Remembering Those Who Have Gone Before Us and Saying Thank You!
Today is my oldest sibling's birthday, my brother Ray. The first of ten living children he began his life in Hawaii when my dad, a recent Naval Academy grad, was stationed at Pearl Harbor. Ray always called himself the youngest Pearl Harbor survivor since my mom was only a few weeks pregnant when evacuated to the mainland. Ray ended his life here in Woodstock and continues to be loved and missed.

The Olympics are over in more ways than one.
Thank God the spectacle is done. But one athlete walked in the footsteps of Eric Liddell by demonstrating his Christian faith for all the world to see. Tennis star, Novak Djokovic, kissed the cross and pointed to heaven after winning matches, the final one against Carlos Alcaraz to claim the gold medal. Although I didn't see it, I read about it and remembered once again that Scottish runner who, like Djokovic, made it clear he was a Christian first and an athlete second.

Errors of the Communist West vs Orthodox Christian Russia
| Russian Orthodox Church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord Western Siberia |
Part I
Let's not start the Fatima Consecration controversy in the comment section below since that isn't what this post is about. Instead briefly let's look at historical facts that happened after Pope John Paul II's March 25, 1984, Consecration then move on to facts of the current situation today.
The short rundown of historical facts after John Paul II's March 25, 1984, Consecration of the World and with it Russia are as follows:
On May 13, 1984, one of the largest crowds in Fatima history gathers at the shrine in Portugal to pray the Rosary for peace and on the same day, May 13, 1984, an explosion at the Soviets’ Severomorsk Naval Base destroys two-thirds of all the missiles stockpiled for the Soviets’ Northern Fleet. The blast also destroys workshops needed to maintain the missiles as well as hundreds of scientists and technicians. Western military experts called it the worst naval disaster the Soviet Navy has suffered since WWII.
On December 1984, Soviet Defense Minister, mastermind of the invasion plans for Western Europe, suddenly and mysteriously dies, March 10, 1985, Soviet Chairman Konstantin Chernenko dies, March 11, 1985, Soviet Chairman Mikhail Gorbachev, a baptized Christian, is elected.

Anastasia Romanov, Sr Lucy, Franco, Putin and the Consecration
This is a story about the world not believing what is before everyone's eyes. The following 4 people on the world stage were disbelieved by the powers that be. What would have happened if they had been believed?

For Islam to be true, God would have to be mutable

Choose one or the other: this or... |
City Journal published an article by Theodore Dalrymple (pen name of Dr Anthony Daniels) titled When Islam Breaks Down. Dalrymple said, “No Muslim in an Islamic society would dare to suggest that the Quran was not divinely dictated through the mouth of the Prophet but rather was a compilation of a charismatic man’s words, and incorporating, with no very great originality, Judaic, Christian, and Zoroastrian elements.” He is correct. No Muslim in an Islamic society would dare say that because he would be killed.

Nasty Parish Director of Operations Demands I Leave the Church
Catholic Parish Director of Operations |
Churches in Florida have been locked up airtight since March 20th per the draconian orders of Archbishop Thomas Wenski of Miami so that the filthy disease carrying sheep have not been allowed into the very "sanctuaries that they built and paid for, by the people whose salaries they pay."

"...and the children of Fatima were shown this YouTube video of Hell."
On July 13, 1917, the Blessed Mother showed the three children of Fatima a vision of Hell which Lucia later described thus: The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were a sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke now falling back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals.
The hour is late. Know that since the Church remained silent for the past 60 years on the subject of abortion, these feminist globalist abortion activists are the future. If globalists (Communists) gain control, abortion will be mandatory, as in China, where the Church and the culture of life have no voice.

A blog reader sent me a request to promote the Chaplet of Our Lady of Fatima and I am happy to do so. Mary's apparitions at Fatima are one of the greatest gifts God has given our fallen world. It was a miracle of grace given not just to individuals as a private message, but to the whole world.

In Preparation for the 100th Anniversary of Fatima on Friday...
Editor’s note: The following, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima, come from Jonathan and Clara Fleischmann. This is Part I of a four-part series. Parts I and II were originally published by Missio Immaculatae Magazine and are edited and reprinted here with the authors’ permission.
Introducing Lucia
Lucia de Jesus dos Santos, also known as Lucia of Fatima, or by her religious name, Sr. Maria Lucia de Jesus e do Coração Imaculado (Maria Lucia of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart), OCD, was born on March 28, 1907, in Aljustrel, a parish of Fatima, Portugal. She was the seventh [1] and youngest child of António Santos and Maria Rosa. They were hardworking and happy peasants, not poor, as they had good fertile land and a sizeable herd of sheep. Lucia was a loved and almost spoiled little girl, as she relates in her memoirs: Read more here.

Climate Change Hysteria: Whatever Happened to Real Science? And Free Speech?
![]() |
| Can we blame the great Galveston hurricane of 1900 that killed 8,000 people on global warming? |
Let's face it. There's lots of money in hyping the "climate change" hysteria which used to be "global warming" until it became evident that we are in a cooling trend. (Just look at Al Gore making millions off of alternative energy sources, while he powers his own mansion and private jet with conventional ones.)
So now, in order to keep the hysteria on the front burner, we need to criminalize "climate change" skeptics.
Make denying climate change a crime!
Associating the hurricanes with global warming is silly. We haven't had a major hurricane landfall in twelve years. Explain that. And hurricane Harvey isn't the worst storm on record:

Food for Thought: The Great American Eclipse Occurs on the Eve of Mary's Feast
Remember what Mary told the children at Fatima? "In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph." Is her Son, the Light of the World, using this heavenly event to remind us to listen to and honor His Mother as Queen of heaven and earth?
And consider this. August was the month the little shepherd children were kidnapped by the mayor of Ourem on the day of the scheduled apparition, August 13th. Instead of being at the Cova de Iria with the "beautiful lady" the children were being interrogated by the mayor and threatened with being boiled in oil. They experienced a virtual martyrdom. Mary appeared to them later on August 19th. These two events graphically illustrate the battle between godless secularism and the Catholic faith.
