Little Warrior, Alfie Evans, Goes to His Final Resting Place -- Baby Alfie, Pray for Us!

Tom Evans carries his little warrior to his final resting place.
Alfie's parents bury their precious son!

It looks like one more victory for the culture of death, but it isn't! Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more. The agony of Alfie in the hospital room and his personal crucifixion ends up, like Christ's, in Resurrection and Pentecost.

I'm praying to little Alfie for the defeat of the satanic forces working to gut the 8th Amendment to the Irish Constitution (May 25th) that defends the right of babies in the womb. I have no doubt the little warrior is on the job!

Keep Talking about Alfie's Murder! It's an Atrocity that Should NEVER be Repeated!

The Italian press that says Alfie was administered four drugs shortly before he died stand by their story and will not retract saying they have an eye witness.
Mark Shea may look like
 Santa Claus, but...........

Meanwhile, Mark Shea wrote on his blog at Patheos that anyone who doesn't just shut up and pray is "using" Alfie Evans, not caring about him. (I won't link to Shea's blog because I understand Patheos pays by click count -- Hmm...does that mean Shea "used" Alfie's controversial story as click bait?)

After taking a shot at Fr. Peter West of Priests for Life who decried the silence of the Left on what was happening to Alfie, Shea goes on to aim his verbal AK-15 rapid fire at the "right wing base." He characterizes people like me as crazies and nut jobs who "stampede" over the latest "panic du jour" being stirred up (not sure by whom). In transparency, in case you haven't noticed by what I write, I do consider myself both an orthodox, practicing Catholic and a conservative who hates the deconstruction of Western culture! Nevertheless, I didn't fit into many of his bullet points about conservatives. Earth to Mark, we are NOT all cut from the same cookie cutter.

Please pray for Aden Hailu and the Supreme Court of Nevada

Tomorrow the state Supreme Court of Nevada will hear evidence about brain death in the case of Aiden Hailu. Read about Aden's case here. And read more details here. Aden's parents have been fighting for her appropriate treatment since last April. Doctors and the hospital where she's being treated are denying her treatments that could help her recover.

This case is a warning. You think you are in charge of your own health care and that of your dependents? Think again. You will have to fight for your own life and the life of your loved ones against doctors, hospital ethics panels, and drug companies. The transformation of medicine from "patient-oriented" to "society-oriented" is well underway.  If you are judged deficient in "quality of life," you are likely to be denied treatment and shown the quick exit door.

I received this email from Dr. Paul Byrne yesterday:

And You Thought Sarah Palin was Exaggerating about "Death Panels"

She wasn't. The "conversations" with sick patients are here. Their point? Ostensibly to determine the patient's "wishes." In reality, their goal is moving the patient toward rejecting life sustaining treatment in favor of non-treatment, pain control, and early death.

It's already happening.

Rationing is "Inevitable....We Need Death Panels," Says Obama Adviser

The media may be ignoring it, but the fact is all the critics of Obamacare are right. Read the article here. Do you think Obama's health care will be rationed? How about George Soros? Let's face it, all Americans are equal, but some are more equal than others.

Who Decides?

The writing is on the wall. Hospital death panels will be the ones deciding who gets treatment and who gets starved and dehydrated to death. You think having health insurance will protect you? It didn't save Willie. Read the story here and here Willie died. His family had no right to make medical decisions for him after a hospital panel decided to kill him. This is life in the 21st century.

Back in the 1970s when Roe v. Wade became the law of the land, pro-lifers predicted killing the sick and elderly by euthanasia would be next. We were mocked. When I debated pro-aborts and warned that euthanasia would be coming, they followed the playbook and replied, "Just because the speed limit is raised to 55 doesn't mean it will be raised to 70." (Yes, that was a real "argument" they used, ridiculous as it sounds.) Well, here we are 40 years later and life continues to be devalued. If you're in the womb and unwanted you can be killed. If you're sick and useless you can be killed.  Life is cheap and the useless eaters are in the cross hairs.

God help the baby boomers! Those in power bankrupted the Social Security System we paid into and will kill us to avoid paying us what they owe. They bankrupted Medicare and will kill us to avoid paying for our health care. And they will do it while they call us selfish and claim WE are responsible for bankrupting the country. The young who grew up claiming their right to kill babies who interfere with their quality of life will happily kill the sick and elderly as well for the same reason. Get used to it. If you teach the young to be selfish and hedonistic, they may learn the lesson too well....

Brain Surgery: A Decision between a Woman and Her Doctor?

Remember when abortion was described as a decision "between a woman and her doctor?" How come that same rationale doesn't apply to a decision about brain surgery being a decision between a patient and his neurosurgeon?

Listen to this exchange on Mark Levin's show by someone who says he's a neurosurgeon just back from a consultation in Washington, D.C. on the standards for brain surgery on patients over 70. If he's who he says he is, grandparents are in for a rocky ride under Obamacare. The death panels are coming. Here's an excerpt from the transcript:
Caller: Basically what the document stated was that if you were over 70 and you’d come into an emergency room and you’re on government supported health care, that you’d get “comfort care”.

Mark Levin: Wait a minute…what’s the source for this?
Caller: This is Obama’s new health care plan for advanced neurosurgical care.

Mark Levin: And who issued this? HHS?

Caller: Yes. And basically they don’t call them patients, they call them units. And instead of – they call it “ethics panels” or “ethics committees”, would get together and meet and decide where the money would go for hospitals, and basically for patients over 70 years of age, that advanced neurosurgical care was not generally indicated.
Mark Levin: So it’s generally going to be denied?
Caller: Yes, absolutely. …If someone comes in at 70 years of age with a bleed in their brain, I can promise you I’m not going to get a bunch of administrators together on an ethics panel at 2 in the morning to decide that I’m OK to do surgery.
