Did Obama Really Win the Election?

Not likely. But don't expect the mainstream media to do any investigating. They helped him lie and cheat his way to victory!

Wish we heard this kind of message from our bishops. Hat tip to Suzy for the link.

Wise Words from a Pro-Life Hero

I have admired Joe Scheidler ever since I first heard of him. Truly, this granddaddy of the pro-life movement is an imposing hero. I once heard him give a talk where he told us he believed the apostles on the road to Emmaus recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread because, as he raised his hands, they saw the wounds from the nails. Then he said Jesus will recognize us as His followers by our wounds. Do we bear the scars of Christ from the pro-life battle? If we do, we can be confident Christ, surrounded by the precious murdered innocents, will recognize and welcome us on Judgment Day.

Here's a bit of what Joe has to say about the election:
Reflecting on our political situation, I have to confess that every four years I find I have fallen into the trap of expecting our political leaders to make my job easier. It is a terrible deception. In my heart I want to live by my (and St. Benedict’s) motto: “Ora et Labora—Pray and Work.” But along comes an election campaign and I am lulled into thinking that if a pro-life candidate gets elected, I can breathe a little easier.
I say it is a deception, because our work as pro-life activists does not depend on who is in the White House, or the Congress or the State House, or even on the Supreme Court. We are commissioned by God to spread the Gospel, to restore respect for human life, to change the culture and build a Culture of Life.
If we do our job right, we won’t have nightmares about radically pro-abortion politicians running our country, because the electorate will choose people who cherish life and liberty. (Read the whole article here.)
Thanks for your wisdom, Joe, and for teaching us what fidelity and fortitude are all about!

Death Threats Against Romney Expolode on Twitter

Read these to get an idea of who Obama's supporters are. Wow! This is the civility he brought to government? I have never heard a conservative talk about assassinating liberals!

And then there are the Philly shenanigans where court-appointed GOP inspectors were kicked out of polling places.

Can you Trust the Vote?

Election judge in Obama's Chicago ward wears Obama cap. Voter who took the picture says the judge gave an extra ballot to the person ahead of her in line. Hmmm..... (Read about it here.)

Looking forward to tomorrow and the end of...

...the robo calls, the "surveys," the emails from the Obamas, the TV ads, the Democrats' sicko obsession with sex, and hopefully...

THE END OF THE OBAMA EMPIRE

Wouldn't it be great to have someone with dignity in the White House again?

The Talking Heads Predict Obama Win....Surprise!

Ah...what a surprise! The talking heads predict Obama's return to the White House. If it happens, and it's surely not over til it's over, the liberal media can pat themselves on the back over their success in protecting their guy from his disastrous first four years. They have covered for him at every turn including the recent Libyan betrayal of our ambassador and his heroic defenders. Just imagine the outcome if the media had given Charlie Woods, dad of one of the dead SEALS, the microphone like they did with Cindy Sheehan during the Bush years.

Ah...for the days of journalists who reported the news honestly keeping their own opinions firmly out of the "news," saving them for the editorial page. But I've hardly seen that kind of media honesty in my entire lifetime. I remember one "journalist" who came to dinner twenty years ago to interview me for a Washington Post article on the "anti-abortion" movement. She met our children and broke bread with us. (Actually meatloaf and mashed potatoes.) Then she painted a very false picture that included an unflattering description of my haircut  (Int the accompanying photo my hair looked green.) and where I sat at the table. (She described me being at the "foot" and Larry at the "head" although, for the life of me, I can't figure out how she knew which end of the table was which!) I discovered later that her mother worked for Planned Parenthood.

But no matter what happens tomorrow, Christians know who's really in charge. It isn't the president or vice president. It isn't the men with the money. And it certainly isn't the media. Life will go on no matter who sits in oval office. Perhaps the persecution will go into high gear. In the light of eternity the petty plans of despots make little difference. God wins and there is no virtuous act that will go unrewarded and no evil act unpunished. So pray and vote. Ora et labora. It is the prescription for a happy life filled with beatitude no matter how the storms rage around us.

Obama the Job Killer

Senator James Inhofe explains why Obama won't comply with laws that require him to report the impact of regulations on job growth. He's killing close to a million jobs! How do you think your family will look in another four years if Obama is re-elected?

Election Prayer

by Servant of God, Fr. John Hardon, S.J.

Lord Jesus Christ, You told us to give to the Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God. Enlighten the minds of our people [in] America. May we choose a President of the United States, and other government officials, according to Your Divine Will. Give our citizens the courage to choose leaders of our nation who respect the sanctity of unborn human life, the sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of marital relations, the sanctity of the family, and the sanctity of the aging. Grant us the wisdom to give You what belongs to You, our God. If we do this, as a nation, we are confident You will give us an abundance of Your blessings through our elected leaders. Amen.

Does Romney Care about Social Conservatives?

Judging from Romney's appointment of Richard Grenell, out and proud homosexual, to be his adviser on national security and foreign affairs (pun intended), the short answer is, "Hell no!"

Brian Fischer at Renew America believes Romney has some 'splaining to do and I agree. Here's an excerpt from the article but read the whole thing:
This appointment certainly revives the oft-stated concerns about Gov. Romney from both the right and the left that he has no moral core, and is, as one left-wing columnist said, "a hollow man."
What can the governor do, if he wishes to, to contain the collateral damage from this spectacularly misbegotten decision?
For starters, he can answer one question for the American people: "Gov. Romney, is homosexual behavior healthy or harmful? Yes or no?"
If he answers "Yes," how can he expect the pro-family community to support him? If he answers "No," then why he is putting someone who engages in such behavior in such a prominent position in his campaign?
Here's a follow-up question: "If your appointment wasn't about homosexuality, why are so many gay groups celebrating your choice?"
Romney may believe the canard that social conservatives have no place to go and will have to vote for him. But I can think of lots of places I can go on election: the grocery store, the movies, a walk to the dam, the park with my grandchildren, the bathroom to wash my hair. If Romney is going to take the country down the same path as Obama, why vote for him? The issues that matter most are moral issues. And if politicians are wrong on those, they don't deserve a vote. The economy is probably going under in any case and rightly so. A country that sells its soul and murders its children for love of money, pleasure, and power may only come to its senses when everything material is taken away.

Fischer has some suggestions for "commitments" from Romney, but why should anyone trust the man? Whoever said forget the presidency this election cycle and work on the Congress has it right I think. Romney is a disaster! And he just proves it over and over and over again.
