The Rush Is On by the Left to Get Us Into World War III!

It boggles the mind to see how cavalier so many are about the prospect of a nuclear war with Russia which, by the way, may very well mean a nuclear war with China.

Facts and Questions about the COVID 19 Crisis: Will the Outcome be Worse than the Disease?

Is this you, looking at our dystopian society?
Do you feel like you're living in a dystopian novel? Do you wonder what the end game really is? Do the censorship and attacks on medical people who deviate from the official narrative concern you? What do you think the economic impact will be for the country as we go forward? Do all the unintended consequences of the lockdown worry you? Are you curious about why politicians are telling the medical profession how to treat a disease? Lots of questions! I'm sure you have some of your own.

Never Trumpers: Lost and Gone Forever and Good Riddance!

I'm a big Pat Buchanan fan. He reflects common sense and moral politics. I hope he's right about the "Never Trumpers Never Coming Back." Let's pray they are all history!

As Buchanan says:

"...the elites who were in charge when the fire broke out, and who failed to respond and refused even to recognize it, and who now denounce Trump for how he is coping with it, are unlikely to be called upon again to lead this republic."

Thanks be to God and pray that he's correct!

Pat Buchanan Hits the Bullseye: Outing the "Rule or Ruin" Neocons!

The convention may be more entertaining than a
bout at Madison Square Gardens.
One of my favorite political commentators is Pat Buchanan. Pat has a broad and deep view of the political realities of our nation -- where we've been and where we're going. So I take his opinions on political realities very seriously. His column on the Rule or Ruin Republicans deserves consideration by the hate-Trump voters who tweet "Never Trump". Perhaps their venom is a bit misplaced. I urge you to read the complete column, but here are a few excerpts that hit the bullseye:
Whatever one may think of Donald Trump, his campaign has done us a service -- exposing the underbelly of a decaying establishment whose repudiation by America's silent majority is long overdue....

The Sea Island Conspiracy

Pat Buchanan pegged it as usual.

Neocons are definitely enemies of the Republic. All they care about is keeping their establishment perks and privileges.

Good Questions, Pat!

From the article:
In his beatification of Paul VI on Sunday (October 19th), Pope Francis celebrated change. “God is not afraid of new things,” he said, “we are making every effort to adapt ways and methods … to the changing conditions of society.”
But among the social changes since Vatican II and Paul VI have been the West’s embrace of no-fault divorce, limitless promiscuity, abortion on demand and same-sex marriage.
Should the church “adapt” to these changes in society?
Should the church accommodate itself to a culture as decadent as ours? Or should the church stand against it and speak moral truth to cultural and political power, as the early martyrs did to Rome?
Pope Francis is hugely popular. But his worldly popularity has not come without cost to the church he leads and the truths he is sworn to uphold.
“Who am I to judge?” says the pope. But wasn’t that always part of the job description? And if not thee, Your Holiness, who?

Buchanan Nails it Again: Harry and Barry are Sadists!

They want to inflict as much pain on the American people as possible and blame it on the Republicans to gain political points.

Here's just a bit of what Buchanan writes:
In the showdown over the shutdown of the U.S. government, the Obamaites tipped their hand yesterday as what their strategy is.
Taking a page out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” the plan is to maximize the people’s pain — to maximize the political damage to the enemy, the Republican Party....
Undeniably, Republicans have voted to defund Obamacare, to suspend it for one year, and to reform it. But in each of these three votes, the House also voted to fund the entire government.
Why, then, is the government shut down?

Is Bankruptcy on the Horizon for Your City?

Salad Days of the Public Sector are Over

I confess I'm a little worried about my own local town. The screwballs on the County Board of Supervisors think the taxpayers are a money tree. First they expanded the sewage treatment plant which was sensible at the time because of the housing boom. It looked like Woodstock would be booming along with it. When the housing market collapsed we were left with a plant ready to handle triple or more the number of homes currently in the area, while the expansion plans disappeared overnight.

Then the county took an old Safeway building purchased over a decade ago and turned it into a massive human services building. Every time I go by I shake my head. There are 40,000 people in the county. That building should house the entire county government with room to spare. But there's a huge county building right across the street -- and more town offices a few blocks away. How much governing do 40,000 people need?

Last year the county bought property to expand the school system which a study showed we didn't need. Another study showed we didn't need a regional jail even the sheriff opposed, but that didn't keep the supervisors from committing one third of the funding from our county. Did the sheriff's opposition make a whit of difference to these porkers on the board? Heck no! They think they live in Fairfax and appear committed to growing the government exponentially.

Oh, did I mention the new courthouse? It's a huge multi-million brick building with two, count em, courtrooms. We already have a historical old courthouse and additional courtrooms adjacent to the jail. When my husband was called up for jury duty he never had to go. Apparently Woodstock doesn't have many jury trials. Well, maybe we can get more folks to commit crimes so the new courthouse will be better used. Oh...and the regional jail is in Front Royal about 30 miles away (Thank God it's not in Woodstock!) so the sheriff will have the expense of going to Front Royal to pick up criminals for trial, transport them to court in Woodstock, and drive them back again. What a great use of taxpayers money and the time of the sheriffs deputies.

I suspect that next election most of the supervisors will be booted over their irresponsible and expensive decisions. I certainly hope so. Give me a housewife or a janitor with common sense who knows how to balance a budget any day over the current board.

What if Zimmerman Walks Free?

Pat Buchanan predicts a firestorm like the one that engulfed California after the acquittal of the LAPD officers who arrested Rodney King. Interestingly, both cases involved media editing materials (video in the King case, audio in the Zimmerman case) to make the accused look guilty. The feeding frenzy in the Zimmerman case makes it look impossible for him to get a fair trial. But all the evidence released int he media so far is consistent with Zimmerman's account the night of the incident. But does anybody care about truth these days? It is convenient for one man to be sacrificed to political correctness and, if Obama is lucky, the trial will take place before the election, Zimmerman will get off, race riots will ensue, and Obama can declare martial law. But that seems a remote possibility and fodder for conspiracy theorists. It is likely to be bad enough without that. And consider...by 2050 whites in this country will be in the minority. Remember Rwanda? At least everybody was the same color which made it somewhat possible to blend in. As for Obama - our first black president sure hasn't done anything to defuse racial tensions. His motto, "home and change" should have been "hope and chains."

We should have elected Rodney King. His motto was "Can't we all just get along?" Let's pray for that and, as Christians, let's pray that we can forgive our enemies. It seems like there are a lot more of them since Obama took office and started fanning the flames of racial division. But we aren't the only ones. 93% of black murders are committed by black assailants, much of it during drug battles as illustrated in the video below. What times we live in! Pray for the kids. Like some of the men in the interview say -- it's the breakdown of the family. Amen to that!

You can always count on Pat Buchanan to talk sense from a historical perspective. There's nobody as hypocritical and inconsistent as a confirmed leftist.

Truth and Common Sense: You Can Count on Pat!

You can always count on Pat Buchanan to articulate common sense truth on major issues. He certainly does in his recent column on the battle over traditional marriage:

Let's hear it for prejudice

"The opponents (of same-sex marriage) have no case other than ignorance and misconception and prejudice."

So writes Richard Cohen in his celebratory column about Gov. Andrew Cuomo's role in legalizing gay marriage in New York state.

Now, given that no nation in 20 centuries of Christendom legalized homosexual marriage and, in this century, majorities in all 31 states where it has been on the ballot have rejected it, Cohen is pretty much saying that, since the time of Christ, Western history has been an endless Dark Age dominated by moral ignoramuses and bigots.

For the belief that homosexuality is unnatural and immoral and same-sex marriage an Orwellian absurdity has always been part of the moral code of Christianity. Gen. George Washington ordered active homosexuals drummed out of his army. Thomas Jefferson equated homosexuality with rape. Not until 2003 did the Supreme Court declare homosexual acts a protected right.

What is the moral basis of the argument that homosexuality is normal, natural and healthy? In recent years, it has been associated with high levels of AIDS and enteric diseases, and from obits in gay newspapers, early death. Where is the successful society where homosexual marriage was normal?  (Read the rest.)

There's prejudice out there all right, but it's liberal prejudice against those who defend traditional values. They will do everything they can to shut us up -- call us homophobic hate mongers, get us fired, sue us for daring to follow our consciences, etc. We cannot be silent about homosexuality because, ultimately, special rights for those calling sodomy a civil right will effect everything about our lives. Here's another story of tolerant homosexuals getting someone fired for expressing his moral views OUTSIDE THE WORKPLACE! Of course, if you favor "gay marriage" maybe you don't mind discrimination against those who disagree with you. But isn't that bigoted, intolerant, and hateful?

Neo-Con Warmongers Threaten the Death of Our Republic

I'm listening to a book by Pat Buchanan (2004) called Where the Right Went Wrong. Buchanan is a real conservative who describes how the neo-conservatives hijacked the Republican party and embarked on an imperialistic agenda to impose democracy on the world by fiat, especially in the middle east which has never practiced it.

Buchanan exposes the elite cabal of neo-con hawks including Richard Perle, Scooter Libby, Paul Wolfowitz, Robert Bennet, etc. who began planning the war on Iraq a decade before 9/11. It was their web of lies about Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction that convinced George Bush to invade a country that did not threaten us and was not involved in Al Quaeda's attack. To hear the quotes from these elitists about overthrowing a host of governments who do not threaten us and their goal to impose their utopian image is chilling. That it requires a state of constant war is obvious. They want a new world order with themselves as the architects.

Buchanan gives a compelling historical overview of the reality that imperialism and constant warfare have been the death of every republic in history. Will the United States follow in their steps? We already have and it is contributing to our own economic collapse.

As I'm listening to Buchanan's warning, I can't help thinking of the number of Catholics and pro-lifers who defended the invasion of Iraq and were just as hawkish as the neo-cons. Every time I expressed reservations, my patriotism was questioned. So I feel a kinship with Pat Buchanan. If you're a true conservative you can bet you'll be condemned by both sides of the aisle.

I hope you'll read Buchanan's book. I think I'll read it twice.
