Faithful Catholic College Responds to LGBT Petition

They just said, "No." Why should a Catholic school allow a group that promotes a  lifestyle the Church believes is sinful? It's like demanding a smoking and drinking club at a Baptist school. People can smoke and drink off campus. And who is preventing LGBT students from getting together and talking about whatever. If they want their school to sanction their behavior they have the choice to go elsewhere. You can treat someone with respect as a child of God without approving their agenda. The "gay" message that anyone who disagrees with them is hateful is, in fact, hateful and slanderous. Send DeSales a big thank you for sticking by their Catholic identity! St. Lawrence, Pray for Us

Today is the feast of St. Lawrence, my husband's patron saint. St. Lawrence was a deacon under Pope St. Sixtus who was responsible for distributing alms to the poor. When Pope Sixtus was being taken to martyrdom, St. Lawrence followed weeping saying, "Where are you going without your deacon?" The pope assured him he would follow him in three days. So Lawrence sold what was left of Church goods and gave all that remained to the poor. When the local Roman prefect demanded he produce the Church's treasure, Lawrence asked for three days to gather it together. Then he brought the poor people of Rome and presented them saying they were the treasure of the Church. The prefect didn't think much of St. Lawrence's response and ordered him grilled. St. Lawrence earned fame by asking the executioners to turn him over because he was done on that side.

Consider the joy and sense of humor of the saints as they faced gruesome martyrdom. The Roman maryrs were famous for singing as they were led into the coliseum for slaughter. St. Thomas More asked his executioner to wait while he moved his beard out of the way of the axe assuring him it had committed no offense. Think of St. Ignatius of Antioch being led to martyrdom and rejoicing that the beasts would grind him like wheat to make him the pure bread of Christ. What a symbol of Eucharist to remind us that suffering represents the greatest union with our Savior. St. John Roberts, a Welsh priest hanged, drawn and quartered at Tyburn joked as he was led through the streets to the scaffold. When someone in the crowd called out why he didn't wear his cap, he replied, "Why, are you afraid I'll catch a cold?"

Think how many souls these martyrs brought to salvation by their suffering and death. Can't we accept and rejoice in our tiny sufferings when we think of these spiritual giants?

Dirty Tricks: Business as Usual for Obama's Campaign

Obama backers won't pull "disgusting" ad

I was amazed to see Obama claiming in an ad that Romney would increase the deficit. Here's a man who in three years increased it by 50% ($5 TRILLION) attacking Romney on that issue. I immediately thought of Goebbels propaganda machine where the bigger the lie the more effective.

But to lay at Romney's feet the blood of a woman who died from cancer who was diagnosed 5 YEARS LATER....please. How low can you go? If you want to know who should be blamed for the explosion in cancer deaths among women look straight at the abortion/contraceptive industry pushing abortion and artificial hormones. Healthy women make themselves sick so they can always be available for sex without "complications", i.e. babies. Obama's intimate relationship with Planned Parenthood is well known! Even late-term abortion and infanticide by neglect are A-okay in his immoral philosophy.

But I digress. Check out the two ads and fight back with the truth. Obama's positions make women little more than recyclable sex objects. As for Obama's claim to have a plan to reduce the deficit...have you stopped laughing yet?

More on the Al Smith Dinner.... It's enough to make the angels weep!

 It is sad to see how Cardinal Dolan has allowed Obama and other pro-active supporters of abortion to be speakers at the Al Smith Dinner. I guess that, in the long run, some Church leaders feel that it is OK for politicians to kill our babies, just so long as they also fill our coffers. With inflation, the value of thirty pieces of silver seems to have gone up to
billions in government matching funds for social justice programs that exclude those designated to be victims of "choice".

The dishonesty of this is absolutely breathtaking. No wonder the bishops in the United States are held in such low esteem when they play games like this. People recognized Jesus as the Messiah because He acted with authority. When will we see that authority reflected in the successors of the Apostles?

A day in the life of a pro-life activist

This pro-life sidewalk educator not only has the courage of his convictions, but he's doing work that may prevent abortions later. By going to the schools he's reaching kids with the pro-life message. Think of how many may not listen to the siren song of the child-killers later. Pray for Peter D'Attillio; he's doing one of the hardest jobs on the planet!

St. Dominic, Pray for Us!

St. Dominic is my confirmation patron and he's had quite a job interceding for me all these years. Make him your friend; what a saint! I couldn't go to bed without saying thank you, St. Dominic, for helping me out during the times I've tried to speak the truth to save babies from the same kind of God-hating heresy as the Albigensians followed. They treated life as a curse and the body as evil. Hence killing was okay and suicide was the greatest good.

Our society is filled with Albigensians today who promote the culture of death. Think of Ted Turner who would like to see 95% of the world wiped out. We need a St. Dominic today to rise up and fight the modern, life-hating heretics. Ask his intercession and pray he puts his mantle on a modern Dominic like Elijah called Elisha. St. Dominic, pray for us.
