Susan G. Komen and Planned Parenthood: Partners in Keeping Women Ignorant

Over the next few months dozens of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events will take place all over the United States. This popular organization purports to be committed to ending breast cancer. But like so many of the pink ribbon groups, Susan G. Komen has a dark side -- namely its commitment to Planned Parenthood and to the politically correct ideology that helps hide the abortion/breast cancer connection.

In 2005 Right to Life of Indianapolis published a 29 page research report documenting the link between the Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood state by state and affiliate by affiliate. About 40 percent of Komen state affiliates from 1998-2005 awarded grants, sometimes multiple, to Planned Parenthood which often provides information tables at the races promoting their services.

STOP Planned Parenthood reported that from April 1 2005 to March 1, 2006 Komen gave PP $711,485. While the organization claims the money is used for breast cancer screening, the 2005 report showed that during the period covered grantees REDUCED breast cancer services and INCREASED abortion services. During the 2006-2007 fiscal years PP also received hundreds of thousands of dollars. Check out the LifeSiteNews report.

It's time to get this information out. Share the report and other information with your local bishop asking him to publish it in the diocesan paper and discourage people from supporting the race for the cure. Not only is Susan G. Komen supporting Planned Parenthood, they are lying to women.

  1. I really think by getting in the face of this group, planned parenthood, one is only making them stronger and letting them get more donors. the protest should be in a church and in the form of prayer. visible protests only enable the killing of more babies.

  2. i am starting a business with a friend and we are creating a "pink" line and want to donate a percentage to breast cancer awareness. after reading this article we obviously no longer want it to be SGK - do you have any other pro-life organizations for breast cancer that you can suggest to us? thanks!

  3. The Coalition on Abortion and Breast Cancer is one of the greatest sources for information and research that I know of. They face an uphill fight in getting the culture to acknowledge the politically incorrect truth that abortion significantly increases a woman's chances of not only contracting cancer, but contracting a very aggressive cancer. I urge support for this excellent group. Here's a link to their site. http://www.abortionbreastcancer.com

  4. So glad I found you and that you are getting the truth out! I was never quite comfortable with SGK Foundation, mostly because they only seemed to focus on getting funds to find a cure, but never tell us about any progress being made. Now that I know they are in league with Planned Parenthood I will be telling everyone I know to be careful what they buy with pink ribbons!
    Thank you!

  5. I get tired of Susan G Komen, mainly because I think they are too pushy. They spread the lie that breast cancer is the leading cause of death in American women. Well, its not. Heart disease is the #1 killer of American women.

Susan G Komen also gets more money than other other cancer organization out there. Trust me, they aren't hurting for funds. Not one bit.

  6. I was searching for a link that might tie in the huge sums of money raised for "the cure" and politics. That's how I foun your site. Thank you for what you stand for. I'm a rtired nurse who witnessed the indescribable awfulness of abortion. I just thought that there is just not enough "transparency" about what is actually done with all the money raised and suspected that there might be some things done with it that are just wrong. I am not Catholic but feel just as strongly about the murder of innocent babies and do not hesitate to inform anyone of the truth of it in graphic detail. Another sad aspect of the abortion tragedy is how uninformed the mothers are as to the reality of their "choice".

  7. Sounds like a great money making scheme while giving false hope to millions of women. If Susan G. Komen is actually donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to planned parenthood and they are performing abortions on young women ,which dramatically, increases your chances for breast cancer, then they making sure people will continue to donate to their cause. May God have mercy on their souls. This information needs to be made public!

  8. I, frankly, am sick of seeing everything "pink and Susan G. Komen. I won't buy the "pink" merchandise. There are other charities out there that don't keep shoving it down your throat. Sorry.
