With all the bad things coming out of the USCCB, This Post Asks a Serious Question

Is the USCCB an Intrinsic Evil?

  1. Strictly speaking, it is not clear how a collective entity can be intrinsically evil unless is it formed specifically to advance evil ends. I doubt the USCCB can be charged with this.
That being said, one of the problems with all collective entities, particularly those like the USCCB where the day to day activities are done by functionaries, is that the actions of the functionaries are often poorly managed and so things are done in the name of the collective that the collective does not necessarily sanction. Read Congress for example. Bureaucracy may not be an intrinsic evil but it is certainly a danger in any large collective.
