Caiphas? No...Cardinal Dolan who Loves the Rich and Powerful

...and in Holy Week no less. "Boot-licking and lap-dogging" Dolan supporters will no doubt make excuses as they did when he honored Obama at the Al Smith dinner. How low can this prince of the Church go? When Jesus castigated the "hypocrites" and "whited sepulchres" he wasn't just talking about the pharisees of his day, he saw all the heretical and apostate clerics marching in lockstep down the centuries assisting the blood sacrifice of abortion and the perversion of sodomy. Maybe it's time for a GAP project outside St. Patrick's Cathedral.

"The most evident mark of God's anger, and the most terrible castigation He can inflict upon the world, is manifest when He permits His people to fall into the hands of a clergy who are more in name than in deed, priests who practice the cruelty of ravening wolves rather than the charity and affection of devoted shepherds. They abandon the things of God to devote themselves to the things of the world and, in their saintly calling of holiness, they spend their time in profane and worldly pursuits. When God permits such things, it is a very positive proof that He is thoroughly angry with His people and is visiting His most dreadful wrath upon them." Saint John Eudes

  2. Why oh why Cardinal Dolan would you commit a horrible crime against Our Jesus....

God is already too much offended , Our Lady of Fatima tells us ...

Yes my dear friends, the Great Apostasy is upon us and there will be only a Remnant left ...
Let us make reparation for such crimes against Our Jesus. God have mercy on these Bishops and Cardinals of the Holy Catholic Church ...Mercy Jesus, MERCY!

  3. I fully expect almost all of our bishops to cave to the HHS mandate. Few still seem to have a backbone.

    C. Dolan is a disgrace and a scandal. I am embarrassed for him as he refuses to stand up for the truths of the faith. And so many follow him because he seems 'jolly'. Well, he may be a joke...

  4. I could not agree more...

I have just re-joined the Church and did not participate in communion until my annulment was final BECAUSE I was NOT in communion with the Church.

I once was a believer in Card. Dolan - no longer - I had more respect for the Eucharist as a fallen Catholic then he has as a prince of the Church. I will pray for him......

  5. He is so bad. I miss Cardinal O'Connor so much watching him. O'Connor would be stunned observing this guy's behavior.

  6. The floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops...

Do not forget, he also campaigned FOR Obamacare. Support that was integral to its passing.

  7. What a heartbreak he is! I really thought when he first came onto the scene that he was perfect for this Country. How completely WRONG I was. I guess he has had enough time now to show his true colors. JESUS HAVE MERCY ON HIM AND ON ALL OF US!!!!!

  8. Dolanism is with us; thank God Voris can make it clear to us by name. By the way, has anyone heard his or her Ordinary defend marriage this year? Dave Theisen, RealEstateForLife.org

  9. Michael, thank you for this one. It so badly needs to be heard.

  10. As a Catholic New Yorker, I can only feel disgust at our Cardinal who seems as disengaged from spiritual reality as Joe Biden. I try to use Card. Dolan's blog to talk to him about what he says and does. It is the most direct way to tell him what you think and know that he has received your comments. The Cardinal has said in the past that he got lots of criticism from his inviting Obama to the Al Smith dinner. But he is very stubborn and convinced that his hail-fellow-well-met approach is the way. In my wildest imagination, I see a day when Dolan will be publicly humiliated, frogmarched on Fifth Avenue right in front of what was once called St. Patrick's Cathedral, by the evil men he seeks to win over with beer, bows and cigars.

  11. Does Cardinal Dolan have any idea what he has done? Is he aware of how many Catholics who already had one foot out the door or who were sitting on the fence, he has pushed out and over? Does he know what message this sends to the average apathetic Catholic in the pew?

I have no use for him. The Al Smith Dinner, when he sat between those two men and laughed up a storm, was bad enough.

I have struggled for years to remain in the church. Thank you, your Eminence, for providing the final push back to the SSPX.

  12. Remember the old saying, "keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer?" This is what I think is going on.

As for Catholics leaving the Church because of what one Cardinal or any clergy does is absurd. Take some responsibility for your own relationship with Christ and His Church, don't use someone else as an excuse to walk away! That just sounds like a two year old tantrum.

  13. Sadly, many Catholics do relate to the Church like two-year-olds - thanks to the disaster in catechesis. I thank God for parents and an education that gave me the true faith, but even with that I wavered during the turbulent sixties in the tsunami after Vatican II and Humanae Vitae. Today, many young people have a faith based on feelings making them prone to every wind blowing out of hell. May we all be part of the "new evangelization" by teaching those closest to us doctrine, and then more doctrine, and then more doctrine -- all bound in the love of Christ.
