Everything You Never Wanted to Know about Exorcism and the Demons!

[N.B. Don't be intimidated by the length of the video. Father's presentation is only about 30 minutes followed by a Q. and A. One of the first things in warfare is to know the enemy. When you know his strategies for attack, you are better able to prepare and ward off his onslaught. Hat tip to Janet at Restore D.C. Catholicism for alerting me to this video. It's worth every minute!]

Most of us don't spend much time thinking about the war going on around us every day, but it's real. We can't see the spiritual battlefield and the protagonists locked in deadly conflict so we don't think about it.

How many of us get up in the morning, put on the armor of God to prepare for the day's battle, and turn to our guardian angel for help in the conflict? Maybe it's time to be intentional in our fight with Satan who "prowls about the world seeking the ruin of souls" along with his five demon generals (Baal, Asmodeus, Leviathan, Lilith, and Baphomet) and their foot soldiers.

Fr. Chad Ripperger is an exorcist and founder of a semi-contemplative order of priests, Society of the Most Sorrowful Mother (the Dolorans) who work in cooperation with the local bishop in Denver to assist those in most spiritual need. He recommends this prayer for daily protection against the demons:
In His Name and by the power of His Cross and Blood, I ask Jesus to bind any evil spirits, forces and powers of the earth, air, fire, or water, of the netherworld and the satanic forces of nature. By the power of the Holy Spirit and by His authority, I ask Jesus Christ to break any curses, hexes, or spells and send them back to where they came from, if it be His Holy Will. I beseech Thee Lord Jesus to protect us by pouring Thy Precious Blood on us (my family, etc.), which Thou hast shed for us and I ask Thee to command that any departing spirits leave quietly, without disturbance, and go straight to Thy Cross to dispose of as Thou sees fit. I ask Thee to bind any demonic interaction, interplay, or communications. I place N. (Person, place or thing) under the protection of the Blood of Jesus Christ which He shed for us.
Amen

I am praying this daily for the protection of all my loved ones. It is a wise Catholic who also fills the home with blessed objects and uses sacramentals like holy water liberally.

  1. Watched the video. Very impressed with his knowledge. But he lost me when he said, "The women marching for the vote should have been told to shut up and go home."

  2. Everyone marching for the vote should have been told to shut up and go home. But as a woman I think women have been totally stupid and ignorant on this issue! What do abortion and contraception "say" about women? "Your fertility and ability to nurture new life from the moment of conception are not a blessing, but a curse. Not only are they a curse but they make you intrinsically diseased. The only way you can be equal to men is to make yourself sterile so you can always be available as a sexual plaything without any consequences for predatory men who want you for pleasure without complications -- like fatherhood and child support." Yes, indeed, those stupid women marching to support abortion should have shut up and gone home. They are the enemies of real women and of the family. It goes without saying that predatory, lustful men are too. But there used to be a time when honorable men and virtuous women recognized it. They didn't jump on the bandwagon to make women as sexually promiscuous and irresponsible as men have always been able to be. I thank God for honorable men and good fathers. May their tribe increase! And may women wake up! The greatest power anyone has is to participate with God in the CREATION of new life. What possible "work" could be more awe-inspiring?

  3. I think we are talking about two different things here! I was referring to his comment concerning women voting in elections in our country!

  4. Could be. I didn't rewatch the video to find that comment and didn't remember it. I'm guessing now from your comment that it was about the suffragettes. Maybe it was in the Q & A and I was working while I listened so I didn't always see the pictures associated with his talk or I may have been distracted. That happens to me easily. LOL. I have mixed feelings frankly about whether women getting the vote was a good or a bad thing. Having said that, I never fail to vote and have worked in politics on various occasions.
