Wouldn't You Like to See All Nuns in Habits Again?...

...Instead of permed in pantsuits and pearls spouting dissent? I enjoyed this video about the nuns' habits but it made me sad as well. Think of what's been lost. When sisters shed the habits, they lost much else besides (Some threw off the faith along with it.) -- especially the sign value to the world of the consecrated life that puts Christ above all!

I used to have several nun dolls (before Vatican II) and I'm going to start looking for them when I'm out at thrift shops. For kids who never see a real nun, only faux imitations like Sr. Joan Chittister and the nuns on the bus, the dolls can be a learning tool. And they bring back so many fond memories of nuns in my own life. RIP Sr. Joanna, Sr. Avila, Sr. Germella, Sr. Jeanne Marie, and Sr. Joan Marie. Thanks for the smile when I think of your speech class, Sr. Marion Rita. Most of us were terrified of you and that was probably a healthy thing.

Nabi Sayeth: The Rot is in Some Women's Religious Orders as Well!

Nabi Sayeth: With the majority of the media’s focus on the sexual abuse scandal within the Catholic Church, one can easily overlook the rot that exists among the sisters.

Beginning with the nuns on the bus who dissent from Church teaching.

Nabi Sayeth: Where Have All the Good Sisters Gone?

Nabi Asketh: When was the last time you saw a Catholic sister sitting in the pews of your parish Church for mass? Or teaching at your child’s or grandchild’s Catholic school? Or walking in the halls of your Catholic hospital?

How many of your children or grandchildren know what a Catholic sister is?

Where have all the good sisters gone?

Not here! These old gals traded God for the world.
Oh...and they left their walkers on the bus!

Hodge-Podge of Habitless Hussies on the Bus

Sister Cardinal Simone Campbell
(It's all about subliminal messages.)

Habitless Hussies on the Bus (HHOTB) is the result of raising awareness of love outpouring from the masses for concern for the poor. It’s not true that the Hussies on the Bus do not wear habits. Sr Simone Campbell has many in her closet. Here she is in her red one.

From July 11th to July 29th, Sr Simone and the Nuns on the Bus (NOTB) will make another political tour “daring to call on elected officials and candidates to Mend the Gaps in income and wealth inequality in our nation.” Their goal is to “bring a politics of inclusion to divided places, change the conversation to mending the vast economic and social divides in our country, and counter political incivility with our message of inclusion.”

The nuns will bring the bus to both the Republican and Democratic Conventions where “they will educate people on the gaps that we are experiencing in our society and NETWORK’s proactive policy strategy that can bridge those divides.”

Liberal Nun Doesn't Bury the Dead, She Votes for Them

Hey, it's one of Alinsky's rules for radicals. The end justifies the means! It may not be Catholic, but it defines the liberal nuns who left the faith behind a long time ago!

Sr. Simone gets her earthly reward...

...an invite to the White House. Just think of the welcome she'll get at the White House gates when she arrives. Oh...come in, come in. Well done good and faithful servant. After all, she did her darnedest to neuter the Catholic vote and get the abortion extremist in chief re-elected.

Wonder what kind of welcome her performance will get her when she stands outside the pearly gates.

Nun On Bus Goes To White House

One thought...you know how Sr. Simone and the nuns on the bus are always talking about the poor. Do you think they care about the poor kids in the Middle East living with continuous bombs since election day? Is there a connection between the reelection of a man who runs guns to terrorists and bows to Muslim potentates and the escalating violence in the Middle East? Just askin'.

REAL Nuns: Tlhe Little Sisters of the Poor

While the "nuns on the bus" treck around Ohio claiming to speak for the poor and disadvantaged while they work to reelect the most anti-life president in history, REAL nuns who REALLY work with the poor describe how devastating Obama's policies are to the poor. Here's what the Little Sisters of the Poor who care for 2500 elderly patients in their 30 homes say about Obamacare's impact on their apostolate:

Cardinal [Timothy] Dolan blogged about the HHS mandate and its impact on Catholic organizations and services. He is very clear about the costs of the mandate. For example, if we were to stop offering health insurance rather than comply with the mandate, we would have to pay a $2,000 penalty per employee. This penalty aside, it just does not seem right to us to stop providing health insurance to our employees.
If we chose to offer insurance without the objectionable services, we would honor our consciences, but we’d have to pay $100 per day per employee. As the cardinal figures it, for an organization with 50 employees, that would mean almost $2 million per year.
So if the mandate is still standing in 2014, all of our U.S. homes will be facing serious financial difficulties. To put this in perspective, we already have to make up at least half of our operating expenses through donations, because Medicaid reimbursements cover only about half of what it costs to care for the elderly in the way they deserve. So the potential fines or penalties we’re looking at just make it that much harder. (Read more...)
My mom volunteered for years at the Little Sisters' home on Maiden Choice Lane in Baltimore. We should all have a special place in our hearts for these dear sisters who love those the world considers useless. Instead of working to convince their patients to commit suicide, the sisters treat them with dignity and respect. God bless them! And it just demonstrates one more reason to vote against the intrinsic evil of the Obama/Biden ticket. Romney has promised to end Obamacare. With the help of a conservative Congress he can do it and that will make an immense difference to the elderly and to those who serve them. It isn't only about abortion.

Is Anyone Surprised that the Nun on the Bus Supports Obama?

Simone Campbell, the chief nun on the bus, showed up at the Democrats convention to shill for the most rabid abortion proponent ever to sit in the oval office. While the Catholic Church teaches that abortion is unequivocally and always wrong, Sr. Simone doesn't know "if abortion should be illegal." But she sure knows that government handouts are the solution to all our problems. Not too surprising. Campbell heads up NETWORK which has a long history of supporting liberalism and working to elect liberal politicians. NETWORK cares more about the wetlands than babies growing in the internal wetland of the womb.

Campbell also misrepresented the Catholic bishops when she said they condmned the Ryan budget. The bishops did no such thing. A committee of the bishops' bureaucracy which is known for its partisan politics went after Ryan. No surprise. It's common knowledge that many USCCB committees list left. That's why so many orthodox Catholics would like to see it shut down. Several bishops have taken issue with the attack on Ryan calling accusations like Campbell's "calumny."

Campbell's tale of sob stories got big cheers from convention delegates, but she didn't explain what will happen to those poor people when the country collapses in economic insolvency. She didn't mention the astronomical increase in the national debt which obligates every household and future generations, endangering the American dream for our grandkids. Obama's "spending spree" enslaves future generations because the money to pay for today's handouts is borrowed and taxpayers are responsible for paying it back tomorrow. Consider that the costs of Obamacare aren't even included yet. Just wait until those new taxes and obligations are implemented!

A friend of mine who's a full time RVer says he's seen the impact of our economic downturn all over the country in closed storefronts, disappearing malls, and ghost towns. Every consumer is experiencing the cost increase in food and gas prices. Increasing tax rates on goods and services impacts everybody. And when businesses are taxed they pass those increased expenses on to their customers. Spiking gas prices hurt the non urban poor more than anybody. And how is robbing Medicare going to help the elderly just when more and more boomers are reaching the magic age? Less money means rationing; that's simply an economic reality.

There are many self-sacrificing sisters serving the poor. Simone Campbell is not one of them. Keep that in mind as you listen to her. She is a lobbyist. What do lobbyists do? Whatever is necessary to get their hands into the taxpayers' pockets. That pocket, however, is getting pretty thin.

The Running Nun Tells Why LCWR Doesn't Represent Her!

Go, Sister, go! One of the running nuns keeps the pace in the 2011 Labor Day 5K.

Sr. Mary Rose Reddy, founder of the Running Nuns, could run circles around the silly nuns on the bus who would never dirty their hands doing the difficult work of Sr. Reddy's congregation. (Besides somebody has to hobnob with members of Congress and march for the wetlands.) Sr. Reddy is apparently sick of LCWR attacking the Vatican and pretending to represent her. But I'll let her speak for herself:

Sister Mary Rose Reddy “We Do Not Feel at All Represented by the LCWR”

What did the Holy See actually say to the LCWR?

by Sister Mary Rose Reddy DMML:

Recently the Office of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith issued a statement entitled, Doctrinal Assessment of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. (All quotations are taken directly from this 8 page document). Many people in the United States have mistakenly regarded this document as disparaging to women religious. Actually the contrary is true; the document praises the legitimate contributions of women religious over the years: “The Holy See acknowledges with gratitude the great contribution of women Religious to the Church in the United States as seen particularly in the many schools, hospitals, and institutions of support for the poor which have been founded and staffed by Religious over the years.”

At the same time as the Holy See praises these legitimate accomplishments it rightfully criticizes destructive aberrations in authentic religious life that have developed in and through the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR). (The LCWR was founded at the encouragement of the Vatican in 1956 to be the official representative body of women religious in the United States). Here are some of the LCWR errors which this document from the Vatican addresses:

1. There has been “a diminution of the fundamental Christological center and focus of religious consecration which leads, in turn, to a loss of a ‘constant and lively sense of the Church’ among some Religious.”

2. Speakers have been allowed to promote destructive teachings such as

The Nuns on the Bus Go Wa-Wa-Wa...as they Shill for Liberalism

Did you know there are only seven nuns on that huge rock-star bus? What a time they must be having. Think the bar is well stocked? Wonder what videos are in the TV cabinet? Are they cooking in or stopping for dinner? Think they eat at MacDonald's? Ya just gotta laugh at these ladies in their fancy digs protesting the Ryan budget because they say it promotes the privileged. Reminds me of the pharisees with their wide phylacteries and bells sewn into their hems so they draw attention to themselves when they walk.  NETWORK is a liberal lobby group that happens to be run by dissident nuns who have little in common with those who serve the poor. They are more likely to be serving the U.N., Greenpeace, and the Save the Wetlands foundation. Here's a photo montage of the tour:

Ah yes...It's always for the children...except the unborn babies. Reality?
It's about building power and popularity for the lobbyist nuns.
And here here they are in their perms and pearls sending their "I will not serve!"
message to the Vatican. Can't you tell how much they love poverty?

Ah yes...Jesus would have supported liberals because he loves
abortion, same-sex marriage, and infanticide!
Sieg Heil to Obama, but never to Rome!
