Fr. Beck's Rebuke of Covington Kids Exhibits Typical Francis Leftist Lies

Fr. Edward Beck, regular contributor on CNN, who daily makes a fool of himself and baffles faithful Catholics everywhere. weighed in on the story about the Catholic kids from Kentucky who were verbally assaulted and harassed by out of control adults.
The last person I'd want giving me
advice on Christianity, Fr. Edward
Beck
I contend that Fr. Beck left the Church a long time ago, but he hangs around in a collar spewing to any liberal he can get to listen the gospel of the new Church of Nice.  This is not just a made up term.  It is very real and a necessary institution to get all (in their dreams) Catholics on board with total indifferentism toward any and all religions including “none of the above,” if that's what you prefer.  No real shepherd would say the things he does.
Beck received attention this past week with his outrageous comments on national news about the boys from Covington Catholic High School.  Rush Limbaugh, a non-Catholic, was the only one I know who has so far called him out.  It’s been CRICKETS from the bishops, who acted very differently toward Fr. Mark Goring, yanking him faster than you can blink off the internet.

Rush Decries Obama's Chemical Weapon: RU 486

Rush never ceases to amaze me with his willingness to speak the truth even when he may take a hit for it. Read his transcript on Obama's chemical weapons of mass destruction:
RUSH: I have a piece on Obama's speech last night. The magic word was "children." We've got to do this for the children! "Children" was the magic word in Obama's speech, and about 9:30 last night I was made aware of a post at LifeNews.com. This is going to offend some of you. President Obama was talking about chemical weapons being used on the children, how that just is unacceptable.

It's okay if conventional weapons, apparently, are used on children, 'cause they are being used on the children now. Bashar's back to using conventional bombs and bullets and everything else, but it's okay because he's not using the evil chemical weapons.  [Read the rest....]

Rush Tells It Like It Is on Abortion!

Limbaugh: Abortion at Root of Much of America's Ills

There's something a little strange when a secular voice speaks moral truth loud and clear while many religious voices are silent or dead wrong. Rush Limbaugh, in fact, speaks up more frequently and more clearly than many U.S. bishops and religious. When have we heard the nuns on the bus say, abortion  "is at the root of our cultural rot and decay?" Never! Sr. Simone Campbell is more likely to say our problems are due to not enough immigration or global warming.

Rush Has a Point -- LOL!

And Snerdley makes a great point too. As for Sandra Fluke -- every time I hear her name I have to put my barf bag within reach.

A Walk on the Left Bank

While the left continues to fulminate about Rush, a little walk down memory lane is in order to see the left's idea of "respecting women" which includes Playboy advocating "hate-f***ing" Michelle Malkin, Letterman making a joke about the statutory rape of Sarah Palin's daughter, Perez Hilton calling Carrie Prejean a "dumb b***ch," etc. ad nauseum.

Now where is the pulling of sponsors and the unrelenting rehash by the media about the treatment of these conservative women? Don't hold your breath.

See the left's idea of respect for women here. And then ask whether Rush's statements, for which he has apologized, were as egregious as they are. Frankly, I didn't hear obscenities coming out of his mouth.  He was insulting and provocative and imprudent, but the unbalanced outrage vs. the shrug and wink about demeaning treatment of women coming from the left is breathtakingly hypocritical! And that hypocrisy includes Sandra Fluke's. She didn't mind appearing on Ed Schultz's show. Remember him? He called Laura Ingraham a "right wing slut." He apologized and Ingraham graciously accepted it, unlike Fluke's petulant attitude toward Rush.

But hypocrisy is the left's badge of honor. They follow Saul Alinsky's adage to make your opponents abide by their rules, while no rules apply to you. If you want to understand the left, read Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. It's a real eye-opener that explains everything you see coming out of the progressive camp. Jesus knew all about this which is why he advised his followers:
"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves."
Rush was pretty accurate when he said he shouldn't have sunk to the level of his opponents. I agree.  We need to remember, as Christians, that they are not the enemy, just the useful dupes of the father of lies. Pray, fast, and fight for the truth. Nothing makes the left more upset than that.

Rush Weighs in on the Catholic Bishops Being "Infected with Leftism"

I didn't hear Rush Limbaugh's comment about the Catholic bishops yesterday, but a friend of mine did. Here's the email he sent to Rush:
Dear Rush,
Toward the end of your show on Monday you mentioned the leftism of the Catholic Church. You may be criticized for that but you were 100% correct. I'm a Catholic who has gone to Mass practically every day for the last 35 years so I think I qualify as a bona fide Catholic. I'm absolutely sick with the leftism/socialism of Catholic clergy. You are absolutely right that the Catholic Church, as represented by the United States Catholic Conference (USCC), campaigned for Government-run health care including for illegal aliens and continues to campaign for amnesty for illegal aliens. Anyone who doesn't believe you just has to look at their web site. (http://www.usccb.org/) Stupak's "cave in" was inevitable because of the USCC propaganda.

I'm Ticked at Rush!

On the way home from COSTCO today I was listening to Rush whom I often find funny. And he didn't fail to give me a laugh when he said Obama's plan was to get him to retire. How is that, you ask? Well, Rush has said he'll be on the air until everyone in the country agrees with him and Obama, he said, is helping him reach that goal.

But what got me ticked off was his response to a caller who asked if he needed to support Constitutional Amendments to end abortion and homosexual marriage to be a conservative. Rush basically said, no, both those issues are states' rights matters and England didn't have an abortion controversy because the people voted on it. (I'm not sure that's true since they have an active pro-life movement there.)

I'll only address abortion here, something I've been fighting since 1972.

NO, RUSH, ABORTION IS NOT A STATES' RIGHTS ISSUE! (Am I talking loud enough?) IT'S A HUMAN/CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE!

Even Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun knew that when he wrote Roe v. Wade. Blackmun said "the unborn have never been recognized in the law as persons in the whole sense." But he also said, "The appellee and certain amici argue that the fetus is a 'person' within the language and meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. In support of this, they outline at length and in detail the well-known facts of fetal development. If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case, of course, collapses, [410 U.S. 113, 157] for the fetus' right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the Amendment."

Ultrasound technology and other advancements in the understanding of life in the womb have shown how much the baby is a "person in the whole sense," only a very little one. Just as slaves were not recognized as "whole persons" by the Dred Scott decision (it took the 13th and 14th amendments to the Constitution to make them full and free citizens) Roe v. Wade made the unborn modern slaves, the property of their mothers.

The personhood of the preborn should be self evident. If they are human genetically, they're persons. And they are. No woman ever gave birth to a cantaloupe.

The pro-life movement is the modern civil rights movement. The only difference between blacks fighting for their natural rights and the preborn is their visibility. The media showed the fire hoses, dogs, and billy clubs being used against blacks who marched for their rights. The instruments of violence used against the babies, the suction machines, knives, and poisonous chemicals, are hidden by a complicit media who don't want the truth to be shown.

But just as slavery ended so will the violence against the babies. It must. And while we fight for legal recognition by a Personhood Amendment to the Constitution, we also must continue to do everything we can to save those "being led to the slaughter" by sidewalk counseling, education (including those graphic pictures), and compassionate assistance to women in crisis.

Get it right, Rush! This is not a states' right issue. Voters can't make abortion right by a majority vote any more than they could make slavery right by majority rule. And those who want women to have a "choice" are no different than those who supported the "right to choose" for slaveowners and slavetraders.

Down's Children are Angels!

Sarah Palin holds Chloe, the five year old daughter of Kurt (striped shirt) from Pittsburgh. Read the transcript from the Rush Limbaugh show that describes how this meeting happened.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Kurt in Pittsburgh, hello, sir. Nice to have you on the EIB Network, and how about the Steelers defense?
CALLER: How about those Steelers, huh?
RUSH: How about that?
CALLER: Hey, listen, Rush, longtime listener, first-time caller, one of those Bible, family, gun clingers from western Pennsylvania.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: And I wanted to share a story with you. A week ago last Saturday we went to the Palin-McCain rally in Washington, Pennsylvania, was the day after he announced her, and we have a five-year-old daughter with Down syndrome, and we made a sign that said: "We Love Kids with Down Syndrome." So when they pulled in in their bus the sign did catch their, McCain and Palin and the rest of their family, it caught their eye, we could tell, they gave us a thumbs-up from the bus, so we were all excited just by that --
RUSH: Wait, wait, wait. Who gave you the thumbs up, McCain and Palin?
CALLER: McCain, Palin, Cindy McCain, we could see them from the bus. We were in a position where we had eye contact with them --
RUSH: Oh, cool!
CALLER: My wife was holding our daughter.
RUSH: Very, very, very cool.
CALLER: It was really cool, Rush. I was like, "Wow, that's awesome," because I love Governor Palin and so I thought that's really neat. So then we moved around as the bus was getting ready to pull out, we kind of positioned ourselves so we could just wave them on and a Secret Service agent came up to us and said, "Hey, can you come with us?" I was like, "Do we have a choice?"
RUSH: (laughing) You shouldn't have worried. It's not the Clinton administration.
CALLER: Right. So we accompanied them up the hill, we went right to the bus, where it was, and Governor Palin, Senator McCain, Cindy, Todd Palin, they're all standing there. We're in this inner circle with just us and them, and the Secret Service agent, and they came right up to us and thanked us for coming out, said they loved our sign, and Governor Palin immediately said, "May I hold your daughter?" and our daughter Chloe, who's five, went right to her, and I have some pictures I'd love to send you maybe when I'm done here, but Governor Palin was hugging Chloe, and then her little daughter brought their baby Trig who has Down syndrome from the bus, he was napping, and Chloe went right over and kissed him on the cheek, and my son Nolan who's nine, he thanked her.
RUSH: This is amazing.
CALLER: I will send you all the stuff, Senator McCain was talking to my son, and we thanked him for his service, and he asked my son if he wanted to see the bus, and we were hanging out and it was very surreal. I felt like we could have had a pizza and a beer with them, they were so warm.
RUSH: You know what? I want to put you on hold. I want Snerdley to give you our super-secret, known-only-to-three-people here, e-mail address.
CALLER: I will send you everything, Rush.
RUSH: And then could you send us these pictures? Would you mind if we put them on the website?
CALLER: I would be honored, and my main thing is they are warm, kind, genuine people, and they represent the best of this country.
RUSH: That's right. And when you send these pictures, make sure you identify them. I mean, we'll know Palin and McCain, of course. Identify yourselves.
CALLER: I will, I will identify everybody in the picture, Rush, and God bless you for being a beacon of hope and truth in this country.
RUSH: Oh, no, no. It's nothing, it's nothing. You're doing the Lord's work.
CALLER: Well, we're very blessed and I want people to know what a blessing it is to have a child with Down syndrome. These kids, they're angels.
RUSH: That's the thing. There's always good to be found in everything that happens. It may be a while before it reveals itself.
CALLER: Absolutely.
RUSH: Right,
CALLER: And when she hugged my daughter I said, here's the difference, this candidate embraces life and all its limitless possibilities.
RUSH: All right.
CALLER: That's what she is.
RUSH: Terrific, okay, I gotta run here, but I'm going to put you on hold.
CALLER: Thank you, Rush.
RUSH: Thank you, Kurt. I really appreciate it.
